This young man is so respectful of the people he meets. I like the way he want and got sweets for the children. God bless him. He is just like a young African man.
You've been in Tanzania for a month and you speak Kiswahili this good?! Wow, impressive. Also FYI sharing out candy to kids you have to do the division yourself, leaving it to kids will definitely lead to a fight, dude. Cross over to Kenya later on in your travels. 👍🏽 Stay safe.
@dennis m chombo,YES AM ALSO FRM TANZANIA BUT I WAS MARRIED,TO A TRAFFIC POLICEMAN,MR BENSON MAKOLIA,HE WORKED IN MZUZU KARONGA,LILONGWE&BLANTYRE,,KANENGO,CAN YOU PLSE TRACE HIM FOR ME & GIVE MY NUMBER COZ AM NOW WITH A GERMANY,NATIONAL PLSE TRY HARDER
I have lived in Tanzania for three years now and already had many short-term visitors. (2 - 6 months). If this is your Swahili after just a month you are the most talented in learning a language I ever have seen. Really really really well done, especially with the tribe language. We live with the wafipa at lake Tanganyika and they say wahehe eats dogs ;-) - We studied in Iringa.
@@toomashanso how many hours a day and what course? I plan to go to Congo for my GF brothers wedding. I need to learn because I don’t want to feel left out.
Hard to believe to have learnt that in one month. But he maybe an exception. From my experience and Expats that live in east africa who want to learn usually can have a conversation in swahilli after 4-6 months.
It's really beautiful how you are flexible in trying new cultures.... That's very very nice. I ask that God grants you the ability to see and visit other places in Tanzania and meet many different people as well... With love from Tanzania 🇹🇿
you're an inspiration man!! you've learnt more and are so much more fluent in a short time than me in a much longer time. I need to pull my finger out and work more on my kiswahili! VERY well done!!
Really cool to watch. I bet its an amazing experience to be able to go over into a completely different country and culture and communicate with the locals in their own language. I feel disconnected from so many of these countries because I can't speak their language.
Wow your language skill is amazing in only one month it felt to me like you were a native (but I mean I don't speak Swahili so I don't really know). It was a fun video to watch just for the wholesomeness of it but also as someone from Comoros as Comorian take from the Swahili language it was fun to see the similarity. Thank you for that video !
This video is amazing you actually did great in your Swahili conversation very impressive 🔥indeed this has made me subscribe to your channel your content was awesome cheers and enjoy your stay👏🏾👏🏾..next time try to visit Kenya great country as well💯
I'm Tanzanian,, So happy coz you tried the way u can! But on coming time,,Use ur right hand,,To hold objectives,Either when you giving or receiving! To our culture! Is sign/Indication of respect!
Achana na hiyo culture yako ishapitwa na wakati..enzi za waarabu hizo bro.je unajua maana yake ??? Hujui...je ukikatwa mkono wa kulia kwa maradhi !!!!....mikono yote ni sawa tu.
I loooove seeing people visiting and exploring my country. It is always a pleasure to re-see this beautiful place through non-Tanzanian eyes. Thank for documenting this na Karibu sana Tanzania. That's some real progress for just a month. Hongera sana SiYuan. Also, you took me out when you called the bodaboda (tuktuk) guy 'Bwana'. We don't use that often, I actually don't remember anyone using it in an informal setting. And no, don't use rafiki either! Just say asante until you figure out how to incorporate 'mkuu, chief, mtu wangu, swahiba' etc in conversations. Also, why did you put the tomatoes, peppers in your bag? Those things are dusty, ask for 'kifungashio' next time. Kila la kheri.
Swahili is my native language, and to speak that much in 1month is really awesome 👍🏽, congrats bro!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾You must be a quick learner💪🏾. In 1 year you will be writing a poem. All the best!!
Umm you might wanna hold that thought lol. With all the hip hop culture in the past 15 years, it really changed the way the language is spoken in Tanzania.
Such precision in one month!! Your swahili comes as polite and friendly as it should be... plus you were very sharp to calm the ladies down when they saw you filming at the market... you speaking the language they understand made them feel safer!!
your becoming perfect each day, and most important you are so respectful to the african culture than most white guys I ve met before, God bless for that. youve a bright future ahead in africa. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Interesting video. I have enjoyed a short course of 4 days in Swahili by the the Suggestopedia method and already might understand a whole lot of words. Greetings from Norway. :-) Hakuna Matutata 🙂
Fair play pal, you have my subscription still 😂 had me cracking up throughout, although there was nothing funny about what you were doing, its more a reflection of how SHITE I am at speaking Swahili and seeing you kill it made me laugh at my failure. Keep it up brother. Are you in TZ temporarily or permanently? Would love to invite you to Mombasa, Kenya when I return there soon.
He has the accent right. That's the amazing thing about this video. The Ugandan in me is jealous because he speaks better Swahili than me. He's also respectful and genuinely interested in the locals he meets along the way. Not an attitude we see much among the foreigners who visit these parts of the world. Best of luck mate.
I have some tips. Take the Bible in English and another in Kiswahili then read the verses here and compare there. But get to know the basics first from a teacher. Do the same with the Qur'an. There is a very good translation by Sheikh Abdullah Saleh Al Farsy.
WOW!!!!! You just got a new subscriber. As an African who can not say a word in Swahili, I must say I am proud of you. How did you learn how to speak this beautiful language in such a short time? If you have an online teach who can teach me, please let me know.
Glad you liked the video - are you just starting to learn Swahili? In the future maybe I could post a couple of videos about Swahili basics, e.g. greetings, food, grammar I'm 20 by the way :)
Yeah some swahili basics would be great! I know bits and pieces or as they say in swahili - Kidogo Kidogo Funny things is I'm born & raised in London, my Background is Kenyan but I wasn't taught swahili when I was young so now, age 21, I'm trying to learn it now
@@byshiri1751 good luck with your Swahili journey! I'll look into some basics videos then And you can follow me @toomashanso on ig if you wanna talk, I'll be back in London in summer
ahah cheers my g, I took a 3 month optional course at uni before coming so I learnt the grammar basics then, since being here I've just been building on my vocab and conversation skills
@@aymanelhalwagy5266shukrun bro, filming and editing only on my phone isn't the best for quality so in the future I'll look into getting some better equipment so I can up the quality 👍
I lived in TZ (mwanza, nyakato sokoni) as a teenager, I used to be an mzungu swahili speaker too, but alas I quit using it when I moved back to the US and forgot most of it. Your videos make me miss Tanzania, I loved the culture there.
