Imagine hating an entire gender and race of people for how they were born and thinking you're the good guy.

They're so "Inclusive" that they Exclude The Majority of Gamers who are passionate about gaming. That's Wokeness.

I went to animation college in 2015. I met a lot of these people. No imagination, they copy what is popular. No creativity, they can draw but don't understand it. No direction, when asked what they wanted to do in the industry they wouldn't have an answer and just say things like " just draw stuff". Every project they did revolved around gay stuff or how they were a woman. We had entire modules dedicated to how horrible men, whites, and society as a whole was for anyone that wasn't a white man. And they were elevated and encouraged even though their work was sub standard and they had no interest in the industry. This is how we have these activists taking over gaming.

DEI that allowed many activists and women into every spaces, created a lot of problems and toxic environments.

If I see DEI in a game, I don't buy it. Simple. If I see toxic ingredients in the food I eat, I don't eat it. Our hobbies should be treated likewise, lest we end up losing the little sanity escapism provides for us to this nonsense.

I used to buy games based on whether or not the studio made a game I previously enjoyed. I would buy sequels to games assuming the quality would be at least as high. Now? I don’t even consider buying a game until I’ve thoroughly examined the devs for even a whiff of this cancerous ideology. If I sense any of it, automatic hard pass. Take note, Wall Street.

We hate the word "Diversity" because every single time it actually means "No white males". Every time our company has a meeting talking about their DEI policies, it always talks about every race, except anglosaxon. It's crazy to me that this is legal.

The best part is watching thier games fail spectacularly and then watching the layoffs and studio closures six to nine months later.

The moral of the story is if you start a new video game company, don't bother hiring women.

Women almost exclusively play match-3 and farm games. When they aren't playing those, they will tend to play casual puzzle, atmospheric exploration games, interactive drama, or mmo games. Those are in decreasing popularity among women. Of all the games that women play, they pay for almost none of them. Catering to women gamers is POINTLESS.

You can have a target audience that is not male gamers (Otome games for example) but that is a small niche... And it does not discriminate, men are just not interested in playing those games most of the time. Targeting men is stupid as all heck... DEI is also stupid. Checkmarks on a list are not what is needed. We need good stories and well written characters no matter their gender. I am a woman and a gamer. And I hate "modern audience" narrative... I am not "modern audience". I am glad that Concord has flopped.

Grew up being made fun of for liking video games only to be told non-stop I'm a bad person for liking video game within the games themselves.

I miss the early to mid 90's and the 16-bit and 32-bit era. Everyone knew that the Japanese made the best games and the Western-made games were very hit and miss, but we all knew this and accepted it for what it was and no one actually complained. There was a clear gap between the east and the west in game development but everyone still just found a way to get along. Now we have games like Black Myth Wukong that are being punished for being made in the east because they don't align to the 'western agenda'.
