Me as a white person who goes out of her way to show love and kindness...but because of my skin I'm seen as a racist. I've been treated terribly by black people and native people. I've been called a "white bitch" and threatened with physical violence when I was simply walking through a predominantly black neighborhood. It was terrifying. I had to apologize for being there. If that's not racism, what is?
That is racism, don't listen to this bullshit. I've had it the past year. I even mentioned this to my white sister yesterday and I can't believe her response.. She said "you and other people are just annoyed because you might end up being oppressed like black people were" well yeah because that wouldn't be fighting racism and equality would it. They even got my sister brainwashed..
Never apologize, you didn't do anything. A big reason why we see this trend is because W people grovel. And the "white allies" don't help either. We were born white and didn't have anything to do with what rich W people do or did.
Thank you! I'm very sorry you've gone through that. ❤️ As a lightskinned Hispanic I've experienced racism. Not just speaking Spanish but before I open my mouth ppl say you don't look Hispanic or white enough. Sad ppl don't know thier history. EVERY CULTURE and race can be racist period.
A black man 100 yards away I hadn't ever seen or spoken to in the street in memphis screamed fucking crackers at me and my wife and pointed a gun at us. If that isn't racism what is it.
Yeah people change the definition to fit their narrative of not being racist. Some people actually think that is the definition. As a mixed child you easily learn all people are racist lol
I dont know why these people are trying to make the definition of racism so complicated. It's literally just treating people a certain way on the basis of their race. Nothing to do with socioeconomic status or anything. If you don't like someone based on the color of their skin, you're racist.
I’m a white woman, and as a child I was certainly at the hands of racism. From Latino kids. How do I know it was racism? They didn’t play with me cause I was white. They beat me up cause I was white, they called me insults tied to my white skin. That is racism. They weren’t being ‘just mean’. They were racist to me. End of.
I was going to say the same thing. Starting in middle school, 1968, black and brown kids I played with since 3rd grade started shunning me. Others that didn't notice me would chase me and beat me if I was caught. It took my time in the Army, working with people like them and the classes we had to go through before I started making friends with black people.
@Kevin Dees Western portion of the states for me. And we had an influx of immigrants move to my town. I was nonverbal till the age of six, and tiny for my age. They saw an easy target.
This EXACTLY. I’m white, and I couldn’t agree more. People literally label me an “auto racist drunk” because of my color. I literally coward in corners, and I avoid contact. I fear being judged and even though some people are nice I hate how when I was in school some girl of a darker color decided to label me a rapist because I was the lightest color and white people are “rapists”. The night I spent in jail is unforgettable, I didn’t even know her. I was relieved COVID hit, it meant a free ticket away from everyone.
@@techseth, Even mixed people (partial whites) go out of their way to say that "they're not white" because they're ashamed of that part of themselves. I always couldn't understand why they would lie about it when they are, in fact, part white. The matter of fact is, they've had experiences that point towards anti-whiteness in their lives to the point they cannot respect themselves as human beings just because of their genetics or the color of their skin. It's truly saddening that we can't see people as human beings rather than the color of their skin, whether they're white, black, or any other race.
@@numbercode2486 I just hope we can reach a conclusion: people are people, and colour is colour. Their colour doesn’t define them as good or bad, it’s just colour. The only colour that should be sorted is laundry.
You sound like a fool, we're talking about America here not around the world. Most white people feel a superiority over other darker skinned people. God gave them no superiority at all that was self given
These people literally want to lie to themselves and have to lie about what racism is to avoid labelling themselves as racists Because they don't want to identify their racist actions
Black folk dislike racists not because they're Italian, Swedish or British, they dislike racists because they're savagely satanic. Before yts showed up, the term and practice of being a racist didn't exist. Non-Blk racists HATE others because they're soulless. Period!
...and for for those of you who like to play dumb, what the woman was describing is "institutionalized racism". You know, the system where "racists" use "POWER" and "LAWS" to terrorize and discriminate the "other"?
@@ssdheda5384 yes. This person doesn't mean "these black people". He/she is probably referring to the lefties who always cry about racism and white privilege
My first experience with racism was in 1st grade. My grade went of a field trip to a park with a lake for a picnic and swimming. There were other schools there as well. I went up to a group of older girls from a different school to see if they wanted to play with my friend and me. They did not and made that clear by yelling racial slurs and chasing me off. (I didn't understand what they were saying, I only knew that they were bigger than me and mean.) I'm white, my friend is Asian, and the group of girls were black. Racism is racism no matter the color of the people spewing it.
My first experience was at 6/7 and it was done by a black girl as well. My mom had black girls in the 80s always want to fight her, and my grandma in the 60s had black girls always pulling her hair and running away when she would walk home. In the late 90s, a bunch of black teens were near our apt at night and my mom woke up and looked out her bedroom window upstairs to see them, and the girl said my mom didnt belong there cuz it wasn't the suburbs but the ghetto (which insults blacks). As an adult having worked in the inner city schools I had some black elementary students be very racist with me and even their parents preferring the black staff over me. This was in Rochester, NY
First racist experience I’m 28 now, This happened when I was 9, I walk into a seafood joint and a waiter seats us down at the other end of the store where it has trash everywhere and dead flies everywhere, Only black people where in the clean side, (Waitress was black) it took us two seconds to get up and leave.
My point blacks are racist as hell and I think it's from what the slavery started but also 99 percent of blacks teach their children this it's embedded in them to hate whites
Mine was when I was young, 7-8 years old. I was at this girls birthday party and there was a bouncy house thing that also had a water slide. At the top of the slide all the kids sat and hung out. I tried to go up but they kicked me down and said, “only people who are part Asian can come up here.” I live in a place where almost everyone was partly Asian and I was the only white girl. I ended up tattling to the parents and the kids got super mad at me but I didn’t know what else to do! Also some of these kids were older as well, like 14-15.
I was the only white girl in my 4th grade class and my teacher, who was black, would never let me go to the bathroom during class. If anyone else ever asked she'd say yes but if I did, I was being disruptive. In my mind that meant I wasn't allowed to go to the bathroom at all. It took a few days or so before my mom noticed I wasn't feeling well when I came home from school and she asked me about it. She confronted the teacher and told her as long as I was allowed to use the restroom when I needed she wouldn't inform the school. She still requested I transfer to a different class.
Thats mainly because you are "ruining the black family" I have heard that so many times its ridiculous. As a black person myself white people have been racist towards me and its common the state I live in, but does that hold me against white people as a whole...no. There is good within the bad and I have made so many white friends and they don't hold nothing against me for my skin color. That's how all people should be. I hope you see my comment and respond.
This comment proves you dont even know the definition, how can white people be "racist" to their own kind. And that probably wasnt even racism you experienced from those black people
@@Haylow6969 Don't condemn that which you don't know. In Rowanda, you have 2 classes of 'black' people. The Tutsi and the Hutu. The Tutsi are lighter skinned and were often 'privileged', where as the Hutu are darker skinned and were less privileged. In 1959 a brutal conflict arose where the Hutu rebelled, slaughtering many Tutsi, arguably in part, due to the 'black' on 'black' racism. The person's comment you discounted is perfectly relevant, and I've seen here in the states lighter skinned black people get treated differently than darker skinned black people... by the darker skinned black people themselves. Just because it hasn't been your experience doesn't mean it's not happening.
@@MonkeyMind69 First off what's a "Rowanda"and two you named 3 different isms in the spam of that irrelevant comment, the first example you used was tribalism, which was caused by the white people who left the country divided by tribes, and darker and lighter skinned people hating eachother simply for color is colorism, which only applies to the black race. I'm not discrediting this person's experience with bullying I'm just saying it's not what they think it is
Simply put: racial bigotry. So if some poor powerless person murders another person, they're not really a murderer because only someone like a president or general with the power to murder en masse can only be a murderer...the stupidity of their arguments is alarming. Pure sophistry.
Still the definition... Yep... But with the LEFT, who can't win any arguments on merit or facts... what is their latest strategy besides violence and trying to silence and lying? They are trying to literally redefine words... ANYTHING but take PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY.
Correct! You can push to have a new word added to the dictionary, but you can't decide to change the definition of existing, well-defined words that have been used according to that definition for decades! Of course, these liberal professors will then say that the traditional dictionaries are part of the "white patriarchy"!! LOL! They are so predictable!
The way I think of it: if you say a race can’t experience racism, then that’s kind of racist. Because you’re saying that because of a person’s skin color, they can’t be discriminated against
As a white person who goes to a school we're Mexican and black people are the majority, I constantly have people coming up to me saying "your racist" or "you have white privilege" they don't even know my name but as soon as they see me they assume it. If I try to tell them I'm not racist or try to defend myself they'll say something like "you talking back is racist" or "I'm not being racist because you can't BE racist to a white person." And it's so frustrating. Im not trying to complain it's just difficult to deal with so many people thinking that white people don't experience racism.
It's an agenda. Using victimhood to ratchet hate in order to push the Marxist divide and conquer tactic to destroy this country and bring in the new liberal order one world ruler. The new govt where everyone except the Elites are going to be SLAVES. That's the future for those who are blindly helping Marxists steal their country.
Same. I’ve had a kid call me racist pretty much every day and it gets really disheartening after weeks of being called something you’re not. I always try to be nice to everyone but still get called racist. I’m so sorry you’re going through that, people shouldn’t assume something just because you have a different skin color.
@@Nijuka87 They deliberately substitute the definition you gave with the one of Systemic racism so that they may "logically conclude" that they cannot be racist toward you.
I experience racism daily.. I work in a place where 90% of the clientele is of a different race than myself. Somehow when I ask an individual to leave, because of their behavior, lack of ID, over intoxication, lack of clothing (nips showing), I am called a white racist female canine.
Pulling the race card is a handy excuse when they don't want to admit they are a shit employee. I had an employee try something similar. I fired her because the way she talked at work was disgusting, she talked openly about her sex life at work, she made sexual comments to other employees, and we were getting customer complaints left and right about them overhearing her talk . When I fired her, she claimed I was racist and homophobic and tried to sue me and the business owner. Too bad our entire premises has cameras that pick up audio.
It honestly is crazy to me that people think white people can’t face racism. In my experience as a mixed Filipino/Italian women I have faced racism all of my life to both sides of me. I’ve heard so many times your white you have it easy without someone knowing my story. Even your Filipino I feel bad. I’ve even heard someone shame me because I’m half white and even go as far to belittle me because they think my life is easy and I deserve to suffer. There needs to be more attention brought to this…
My “friend” when I was in middle school told me I shouldn’t be crying when I told her I hadn’t eaten in three days because my mother was an addict. While also not being able to afford school lunch. She said I have no reason to be crying because I’m white. Should’ve stole that bitchs milk.
Exactly....same with the white privilege shit. I'm white and have not lived a white privileged life. No I wasnt born in the hardcore segregated era...even tho it happens still today differently and somewhat the same....I was born in a different era....not living a white privileged life..... being completely honest, I have dominantly been made to feel guilty because I'm white around most (not all) people who consider themselves black/brown/melanated.....some Latinos, some hindi/Bangladesh...more melanted shink than mine...but mostly black folk tbh....entirely f#@ked up scenarios insinuating I need to feel guilty essentially for even exsisting...js.. No I don't hate melanated color skinned people.......I'm just being vulnerable and honest
I’m also half filipino, and I’m not sure if people were mean to me because of my race or because I’m a quiet, shy nerd. I would get told by my cousin that her friends thought I was a bitch because I didn’t say much. I have no idea. People don’t need much of a reason to be mean. It almost seems like a default in some cases.

Thank you for your hat you say about this clip- between the ages of 0-9 my family was the only white family in a Hispanic neighborhood - we were robbed twice - we had bricks thrown through our car windows - and our house was spray painted more than once - when I was just six - I was tied to a telephone pole in an ally because I was “white trash” - and our house was robbed - later one of my friends in the neighborhood invited me over to play with her “new toys” - when I got there - they were MY toys that had been stolen the previous week- I remember feeling terrified - and all of it was because i was white - so yes - white people absolutely can experience systemic discrimination.
@@janedoh1648 honestly I’m. To sure - there are so many different definitions that keep changing - it for sure was racism - but I totally see your point

PROBABLY NOT. 🤦♀️
Same with me, but it only happened after schools started talking about racism and the movie Roots in the late 80s or so. Until then, we never noticed any difference...we were all poor
Don't let them contour the definition to fit their confirmation bias. Don't even give them the "I feel" definition. Definitions are concrete. Definitions don't change person to person. Intellects need to stop them in their tracks when they try to manipulate the definition.
That is so true. They'll say "white people can't experience racism by definition" but when you point out, that most of humanity and most dictionaries define racism simply as racial prejudice, they just pivot into "well that definition is no good". Like before you said it wasn't the definition, but now you're saying "yes it is the definition but we're changing it"
Theres some kind of euphoric feeling they get from being a victim. It's like they cant survive unless they can blame their failures on someone with a different skin color. It's actually a mental condition.
And..."I'm so impressed with myself cuz I'm spewing all these big words that I mangled together to make it appear that I know what the hell I'm talking about!".
You do realize that generalizations like that are exactly the same bullshit? You're lumping everyone together and labeling them and deciding they're automatically inferior to you. Not cool
@@LMCorvinus you’re right. I shouldn’t have made a generalization. I more meant people with this mindset. I have met many liberals who are easy to talk to and don’t think this war

And you should never be ashamed either because God created you also and he knit us together in our mother's womb. God didn't make a mistake when he created human beings. There is a power that we should be fighting against however it is not each other. Yep. I used to date a black girl...got so much shit from her neighbors. Had a 13-year-old boy try to hit on her right in front of me (I was 28; she was 23.) When I told him to fuuck off, he called me a cracker and threatened to "fuuck me up" until I took a step toward him...then, of course, he was running off, screaming that I was assaulting him, that I was trying to hurt him because he was black. Naw. I was threatening to hurt you because you were a disrespectful little shiit making my girlfriend deeply uncomfortable. See? Entirely based on his character and its contents, the way it should be. :)
I was walking in a neighborhood that was being built. It was adjacent to an established neighborhood. I was chased by several men who are not my race. I had to flee running as fast as I could pushing a baby stroller. They were screaming, “White B#*ch!” At me as they chased me by car. I never thought of it as racism. Years later, I was like well I think that’s exactly what that was! The difference between me and the rest of the world is that I refuse to have a victim mentality. People who need to be victims can’t see bad people as bad people, they can only see the color of their skin.
I have had this happen to me as well and it was my own neighborhood. They chased me and my friend all the way back To my apartment screaming racial slurs at us. I also had black teachers who targeted white students for bullying and would cover for the black kids they are truly the most racist people in the country!

This includes all but three of the staff and teachers. Even my coach goes out of his way to make sure I stand in the back or off to the side in photos to make the HBCU team appear “less white”. Really really terrible racist stuff. So my coworkers kid called him the N-word back, which I’m not saying was the right move, but you know kids being kids, and don’t start none and there won’t be none… Those are both real things. Either way, my coworkers son was the one who got suspended. Not the kid who called him all those awful names for a period of weeks leading up to the incident where he called him the N-word. And ironically, what he said was that he didn’t have to take that shit from this other kid, and asked him how he would feel if he got called the N-word. That was enough for this kid to get suspended from school. But this black kid calling him Ching Chong was just unnoticed, not an issue apparently.

Racism. Im white. I experienced after my family moved to a mostly black, small southern town. In third thru 5th grade..I was assaulted often, called racial names, and this behavior overlooked by black teachers. All because of my skin color. During this time, I met my best friend, a black girl my age. We are still friends today..both of us in our 50's. So Ive seen the cruelty of racism based on skin color. Something we have no control over. I never knew about racism until I experienced hatred and cruelty simply because I was white...and persons inn power (teachers, principal etc..all black) that condoned, ignored, and allowed the bullying. In my 30's, visiting family in same town, I was with my 2 yr old daughter, who was very social and loved other children and would approach other kids inviting play, she saw a boy, who was black, she happily ran up to him offering her toy and and inviting him to play....only to see his mom, grab his hand, tell him he could not play with my daughter and to get away from her. My kid was hurt and confused...I wanted so bad to cry..Her kid, my kid..only saw another kid. Now that child was taught, im sure, that he could not play or socialize with children with white skin. Hatred is taught. It can and does happen to EVERY race. On the same note, My childhood best friend was a black girl who was not taught to hate. In our 50's we are still friends. Racism only exists when children are taught, by adults, to hate others based on skin color. It can and DOES happen to white people too!!! Also..EVERY race & culture has a history of slavery and injustice. But its HISTORY. Something we learn from, but do not repeat or incorporate into daily life as a reason to hate others.

She doesn't get to dictate other people's experiences, and I'm pretty sure she wouldn't like someone doing it to her.
Of course. Tell her she can't experience racism and she'd go off on you for denying her lived experience. Objective truth only exists for ideologues like her when they can use it as a weapon of discourse. Otherwise, it's all "her truth" since, by definition, you can't ever hold somebody accountable by the lights of their own so-called "truth" since it's just their feelings dressed up in pseudo-academic jargon anyway.
No they cannot. Someone calling you white trash is not racism. Racism is all-encompassing and systemic. White Americans were not enslaved (Irish were only indentured servants), white people weren’t denied the right to vote, white people in general were not turned away from jobs for being white, white people weren’t denied property because they were white.
Yeah, its stupid, that's the only reason they're trying to change the definition to "systemic racism" or whatever bs they're trying to use to justify the fact that they're racist but don't want to change or be labeled as such...
Same with colorism. It only applies for dark skin and not in the reverse. It gets to a point where I’d just prefer not to be around people like that because I refuse to accept the role as your villain just because you need to be someone’s victim.
What,? I’m confused, I’m pretty sure you said you’d rather be around just your race because of a problem you’ve had with people in the past, yes THEY were racist, not the race. It’s sad how many people believe this mentality these days
I grew up in New Mexico. White is definitely the minority and I've experienced racism 100000%. People that won't be my friend. Places that won't hire me. The whole lot
Been there. Had my black boss call me out for insensitivity to Muslims when I chose "Mohammed" as a random name to apply to a notional Middle Eastern-descended guy in some hypothetical discussion we were having. When I told her 1) it's the most common men's name among Muslims; it's like claiming the name John is insensitive and/or derogatory to American men when used similarly and 2) my dad converted to a sect of Islam before I was born and I've thus had to read the Qu'ran, attend mosque services, and in fact can speak a little Arabic, it got me absolutely nowhere with her. She saw me as a white man and decided that I must have been speaking from ignorance and barely sublimated malice. After all, Muslims are POCs so I must have been speaking out of "racism" toward that entire, ah, not-an-ethnic group...
Amala, thank you for saying this. This cleared up a heart breaking incident that happened. I'm in a intro to black theatre class at the University that I go to. This is how racism is being taught. I shared my experience of going through racism. I was told by a student in the class that "White people can't experience racism and only black people can experience racism."
Rewriting history and definitions takes an incredible amount of power. It's sardonic those that are crying wolf are the ones who stood to benefit from calling a deer wolf. It is also straight out of 1984.
I am a white female and I have experience racism! 🙋🏼♀️ I’m still a minor which makes this even worse… I was at the mall with my boyfriend when this adult black female came up to us and said that we should be shot because of what we look like and that she’d gladly shoot us up. I’m 15. My boyfriends 16. We legitimately thought we were going to get caught in an of physically harmful racism. We were terrified. But idk! Apparently we can’t experience racism.
Even if it did.. whites can experience racism.. Cuz black people can and do hold power.. Systemic power over white people, they can also wield interpersonal situational power.. meaning they can be racist.. this is the dumbest argument of all time..
Her smile showed she felt like she was holding the power in that situation. And truly believed that what she said was beyond criticism ((or critical thinking...xD)
Australia at one point in time had what we called the White Australia policy which meant only people from England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales could come here. My grandfather is Maltese he would not of been allowed here during that time so in one way or another racism towards people from the Mediterranean affects me I jokingly call myself a Wog now but that’s now back then it was a huge insult. He will likely going to get punched in the face so don’t tell me why people can’t face racism.
No it's not, and in fact, the only reason they started talking about 'power' and 'economics' being included in the definition, was to exclude white people. Because white people are the only people excluded as a result of that definition. And even if you try to argue racism against whites in Zimbabwe, where whites are a minority, they'll change the definition again and say "Well yeah, but they colonized. And they're descended from colonists so they have the economic background and the power". THE OED which is the most reliable English dictionary - the one that doesn't allow in political or personal biases of words, and rarely changed definitions, they mention nothing about power or economics. Because that was never part of the definition of racism. They do say 'typically, a minority or marginalized group' but typically does not mean only. Meaning, even someone from a racial majority can experience racism. White people can experience racism, and how dare these people gaslight and try to deny their experience, and forcibly alter definitions to exclude their experience.
I have .never been racist but the black whiners are making me feel anger towards blacks. And makes me be glad. I live in a small city in rural Nebraska where we have very few blacks and they don't seem to have a chip on their shoulder.
Anybody that thinks like that should take a trip to Korea…black or white, you‘ll get the privilege of being shown equal racism…that should be a healthy experience for all involved
Definition: the belief that different races possess distinct characteristics, abilities, or qualities, especially so as to distinguish them as inferior or superior to one another.
And what most people don't realize, by definition, someone can be racist towards their own race. Its typically overlooked, but we need to start calling out racist white liberals who trash white people. Like, for instance, Obama's mother who didn't want to date any white men because of their race.
I always hear the argument that a white person can experience prejudice but not racism. Okay, so what is the prejudice based on?… race, right? And what is it to be prejudiced against another based on their race? Yeah I thought so. You can’t just change a definition because it fits your mindset. The sad truth though is that the definition will likely be amended because, of course, we need to cater to any and all outraged fringe minority groups. That’s a recipe for success right?
According to oxford the definition of racism "Prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is inferior OR superior."
"White people can't experience racism." Tell that to my mom, who worked in retail for years, and had people call her racist every time she caught them shoplifting. Or the poor police who get called racist if they are white! Or even the white people who are shamed because we are considered soft to some black people (especially in the hood)
Literally my high school best friend was debating me on this and I just asked her why her definition of racism was different from the dictionary definition and she said that hers was right and I should use my white privilege to change the dictionary for her 🤦🏻♀️😂
@@tylersmith7005 so then why do we have Paralympics and Olympics? Then trans people and cis people are exactly the same, right? Then old and young people are the same, right? Then vulnerable people shouldn't get special concessions, right? My aim by including these examples is not to compare them to racial discrimination, but to illustrate that making concessions for oppressed or vulnerable groups is not discriminatory against the other groups (for whom concessions aaren't directly made)
They won't be dressed nicely for much longer! Just wait until they crash the financial system, and they won't even have anything to eat, muchless nice clothes!
Racism is not looking at you because of your race. Well, not always. In my country there’s no black people, only white. So when I see a black a person, I look at him because of the curiosity, not because I’m a racist.
This lady is a leftist pushing a postmodern/Marxist narrative. Thank you Amala for keeping it REAL and putting the record straight. Just had this conversation with a young black man today. He had similar views as this lady did but was very open to what I had to say, which mirrored your talking points.
Thank you. We can change 1 person at a time but then they can change 1 person and so on. I know there is prejudice against any and everyone if you look for it but I honestly feel in my heart that most people are not when met with an individual. It’s easy to not like a “group” but when you are face to face with an individual things are different!
Yea, keeping racism and the hate alive, Bastard I believe without the Internet, necessarily not the Internet, but social media and people like that racism wouldn’t be as strong as it is today s Getting really old to the you truth Really Old
There’s a point when someone has justified the bad things they do for so long that they believe they’re a Savior and the people they destroy are demons. The Woke religion has a whole lot of saviors.
I'm white, looked at a black dude because I liked his shirt, then he came up to me like "Stop fucking looking at me you racist, y'all white people are all the same!" ... I said I liked his shirt and told him to consider about who's being racist towards whom.
I'm white. But because I loved being outside a lot I've become tanned. I got stopped by the police for speeding and on the ticket I was labeled Hispanic. Now anytime I get a ticket I'm automatically describe as a Hispanic and I'm not able to change what's in their system about me. So that whole "white privilege" thing doesn't exist for me.
Yeeees facts. You literally look up the definition and it says just that. Just like many other words from the dictionary, people throw it around for everything making it lose its meaning.
I really hate when that argument is given because of the times my family’s experienced it. My mom and the rest of us were getting drive thru at a fast food place and they got the order wrong (left something out). This isn’t that big of a deal my mom just headed inside to say that and get the food we didn’t have. (Btw this was at the time of the BLM riots) the people in there were I think black for the most part and were mumbling and making comments about she was trying to steal food and some other comments about race (don’t remember exactly what). Safe to say we didn’t end up going back to that place.
