There are plenty of white people and other races that are members of D9 organizations. Yes, all D9 were founded by and for us, but anyone that has the G.P.A., and understands the history of D9 may join. There are many blacks and Hispanics that have joined predominantly white organizations, too. This dude was on point.
@@alanbrown3172 that’s partially true sir- the school had already been active before the Rockefeller’s gotten involved. Harriet Giles and Sophie Packard are more accredited to starting the school in the basement of the (then and current) black church friendship Baptist church in Atlanta (which also began classes for morehouse college in the same basement after they moved from Augusta). By the time the Rockefeller’s got involved the school already had 600 students and 16 faculty members. It was surviving on generous donations by the black community in Atlanta, the efforts of volunteer teachers, and gifts of supplies; many Atlanta black churches, philanthropists, and black community groups raised and donated money to settle the debt on the property that had been acquired. They changed the name of the school Spelman to memorialize the donation’s the Rockefeller’s during that time.
It's rare for a white man to join anything that he has no chance of taking over, especially where minorities are involved. And I'm sure the Ques tried their best to break him. So if he managed to cross, he has to have a genuine appreciation for the culture. So I gotta respect it.
