It was a different kind of war...it was guerilla style combat and I couldn't see 5 feet infront of me at times because of the dense brush. This made me a man who learned to live when you are aware of death next to you everywhere you stepped.

I'm not trying to appear I'm picking a side, but I'm sure as hell I would never want to be on the Vietnamese side. They did massacre their people also and etc. Worst scenarios was if they took one of those Napalm pilots as POW. History paints USA as a villain so much when they tought they were there to be heroes. But in this war there wasn't a good side, only people trying to survive this slaughter. Yes it just cause it’s true does not mean it’s not propaganda. There are three types. White propaganda being when you use the truth against your enemy though not necessarily telling the truth about yourself, notice she conveniently left out the fact the NVA tended to torture surrendering US soldiers or how NVA soldiers had a much higher death rate then US soldiers therefore defecting decreases your odds of survival substantially, then you have Grey propaganda which is bending the truth a little if she had for instance said we are winning the war and have killed hundreds of thousands of US soldiers that would be bending the truth, and then black propaganda which is straight up lies and it’s considered the most inefficient form of propaganda despite being the most common. Since it can quickly be turned against you if people figure out its a lie and people usually do.
