Just a couple things to help you round out some of your observations: the Jersey Devil and the Pine Barrens is an irl legend with plenty of info on it, the adversary seems to be more serpent like in the “can you spot it” segment which is what the devil takes form of in the Bible, so the adversary and the Jersey Devil are likely separate entities, and the burning sword was used by angels to protect the garden of Eden/heaven (memory is a little fuzzy on that)
I think I'm in love with you, 4 Plus. I know many of us share the sentiment that we would watch whatever you upload, so don't feel locked into analog horror. Keep doing your thing, man. ❤❤❤
To be fair humans are very reliant on landmarks and familiar locations so to have your view obscured by such a thick cluster of foliage can be unnerving and disorienting. No wonder ppl think that a demon lives out there hahaha
When I seen this, and the episode with ranger training where I seen the end with all three rangers, I was reminded of the meme; Out of you friends which are you? Ranger Dan - truck freak Ranger Luke - crazy A Незнакомцы Ranger Craig - the fighter it kind of fits with white stag
You should watch Ted’s Caving Journal. Its a really faithful adaptation of the first creepy pasta ever. It drags a bit in the beginning but when things get scary they get real scary. Keep up the good work 👍.
As soon as I saw this was in the Pine Barrens, I immediately knew this was going to be about the Jersey Devil (Which is cool, especially since I live in Jersey and have portrayed the Jersey Devil in two different short films lol)
just as I thought my weekend couldn’t get better you release this vid lol, been waiting for your coverage of white stag since wendigoon made a stream of it
I've see tis video at least 3 times and other videos on whitestag (RU-vid recommended wont give me anything new), and tis is the first time I've picked up that "We can't rest until our stories are told" Could be referencing the kids and their fates. They cant pass on.
Thank You for reminding me of this, I have lost multiple hours of sleep and am now rendered to 2 hrs on average per day, Again, Thank You. (Fan of Gemini btw)
One of the few analog series I watched on my own (usually I can only watch people covering them because I'm such a wimp), and it's REALLY good. A great blend of nostalgia, goofiness, and of course, analog spooks.
EVERYONE In Daniel's dream, he transcribed a melody he heard in the background. When we had the encounter with the adversary roughly in the middle of the video, there was a melody playing in the background. These two melodies are the same. If the transcribed melody is played on an instrument, that is the exact same song. Low notes on a sheet means lower toned notes, vice versa with high notes. With knowing this, even by eyeballing the sheet, it can be assumed that they are the same song.
Ok I know this sounds crazy since the whole point of this series is people being able to see the future but I SWEAR i've seen you post this EXTACT video months ago
By the way, an Angel with a burning sword is mentioned in the book of genesis as the one who guards the garden of Eden after Adam and Eve were cast out. So, an angel with a burning sword protecting a forest/garden? I can see the parallels
considering that satan is called the adversary and that the garden of eden was defended by an angel with a flaming sword theres definitely christianity shenanigans there
In case y'all are curious: Enoch is the great-grandfather of Noah in the Bible (the one with the arc). The Book of Enoch, an apocryphal text not actually written by Enoch, therefore not fully canon by the Church, contains a bunch of information about what the Earth was like before the Flood. During this time, there were fallen angels known at The Watchers, who did a lot of damage to mankind by showing them how to make weapons, use magic, etc. They also r**ped human women in order to create giants (the Nephilim), and followed up that atrocity by basically experimenting on animals by cross breeding them into ungodly hybrids. It's been speculated that not all ungodly creatures were wiped out by the Flood, specifically the Nephilim. But perhaps the creatures in this horror series are remnants of these monstrosities that weren't fully killed off either.
Some religious references explained: When Adam and Eve were chased out of the Garden of Eden, it is said that an angel was left to guard the entrance with a flaming sword flashing back and forth, so that they could not return. Also, the book of Enoch deals quite a bit with angels and demons, and especially with a race of people that were the offspring of angels and people, called the Nephilim, who were described as "the heroes of old". I think of this as sort of demigods, like how Hercules was the offspring of a god and a human. Finally, the adversary is used in both the letter of Peter and the letter of Paul to Timothy to refer to the devil, especially in his role of tempting people into sin, luring people off the path, so to speak. I even wonder if the idea of false trails is supposed to be an allegorical expressing of the "straight and narrow": "For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few." Matthew 7:14
white stag education is super underrated imo so thanks for coverng it lol. I dunno if you're looking for recommendations, but you should check out Junius B. It's a JoJo's Bizarre Adventure analog horror. The aesthetic reminds me of a weird Adult Swim cartoon you'd see at 3am. To me, this is the next big analog horror. It’s got memorable characters, aesthetic, design, etc., a unique setting and take on the genre, and it mixes JJBA and Analog Horror about as good as it can be. I don’t wanna gatekeep it or anything lol.
I think the quote The flaming sword will protect us Is referring to angels since I think in the Bible they would be seen holding flaming swords Also the grandma in the little red riding hood thing appears to be one of those strangers
Hey you should check out dreams of an insomniac by pastraspec at the moment there’s only vol 0 two side episodes and vol 1 but it’s very good also great video
I feel like making that series must have been very fun for the actors. It's very eerie and scary, but it's incredible how creative the analog horror people are.
The book of Enoch wasn't removed from the Bible. Rather, it was considered non canonical and thus not to be joined with other books of the Bible. This is because there were inconsistencies that made it apparent that the writings were not of the era it claimed to be and made it unreliable in the process. Cool video though.
Fear the forest is a very good bit of advice, just in general anywhere near the Appalachians, those forest can be dangerous for all manner of reason. Dense. Dangerous Wildlife. Dangerous People. Horribly dark. all in all, just avoid it if you're not prepped for it
4 Plus, you GOTTA make a video on Tryred Witness Archives. It is such a criminally underrated series that's very well-made yet is unfortunately unknown to some.
Here’s a little note on the Bible Verses mentioned in the story, the church in question appears to be catholic and they have additional books of the Bible that aren’t in the Protestant Bible which is the one most people think of when they think of a Bible. The book of Enoch is one of the books that is in the catholic bible
So there’s a lot of Biblical references in this one. The Adversary is actually a name for Satan. The flaming sword is a reference to St. Michael, who of all the Archangels is against Satan. Also, I believe Grand wood is the area of the Pine Barrens where the Jersey Devil was born. Edit: you said most of it. Lol
