a couple of young white tailed deer wandered out of the woods and into a clearing near one of my tool sheds. They seemed rather tame but they're certainly not pets and it's important to always remember that wild animals need to be given space. Petting or moving baby deer, however well meaning, could easily lead to problems for the fawns so it's always necessary to watch them from afar and never touch them, one can appreciate them while respecting their space. Though I appeared close, I always kept at least 8 to 10 feet between myself and the babies.
