The Whitetop Mountain Band is a family-based band from the highest mountains of Virginia. Whitetop, Virginia is an area rich in the old time music tradition; this band has deep roots in mountain music. The members have done much to preserve the Whitetop region’s style of old time fiddling and banjo picking and are legendary musicians and teachers of the style.

I figured it out. They play old timey dance music. They don’t want you to sit and listen, they want to move your feet.

I'm gonna tell you now,I LOVE THIS BAND.THIS IS A PERFECT EXAMPLE OF WHAT THIS WORLD NEEDS MORE OF TODAY.Miss Martha is cute as a bug too.AND,I've not seen a scale in which to measure the level of talent these folks have .. Y'ALL GOT A FAN IN SOUTH CAROLINA....ALL THESE GIRLS ARE AS BEAUTIFUL AS THEY ARE TALENTED

Just love bluegrass its soo nice to hear it....would love to have been sat on that porch listening and dancing too..... not only carter family but theres definitely the Stanley Brothers in there to.

Cacklin' Hen - Outstanding band. Perfect timing, and can't tell where one ends and the other begins. Good solid sound - could listen to this one all day.
