REMASTERED IN HD! Official Music Video for More Human Than Human performed by White Zombie. (C) 1995 Geffen Records #WhiteZombie #MoreHumanThanHuman #Remastered
When this song came out, I worked at a bar in Texas that had shitty air conditioning that was always breaking down. Our DJ used to play this song and call it our theme song: "More humid than humid".
I still rock this shit today. And I'll be 59 in 6 weeks. I turned 60 in February and we're still going and this song is still the shit. Waiting for the Munsters to come out. Life is good.
Best compliment I've ever gotten from my grandson: He caught me with my PA hooked up in the garage, jamming on the bass to this, cranked up to the point my rig popped a breaker. His reaction: "Poppa Alan, you still know how to rock!" I almost sniffled.
@DAO nice. I prefer tourniquet by Manson when it comes to his '90s songs. Its very grungish and new metal all rolled into one song. By far the best music.
My dad flipped his car in the middle of a highway and he always tells me the story on how he was listening to this song while he was upside down in his car
I was one year into a law enforcement career at the time this song came out. I responded to a disturbance call at a local bar. Small town road house. We walk in to this free for all biker fight and this song had just came out that summer and the dj played as we walked in. Me being a true metal head regardless of the uniform saw this bar fight scene set to this song thinking how badass can you get?! Lol!!! Love it.
@@vipersb1 then why does it say that it is on Google? If you type White Zombie in to google it says it’s a heavy metal band. Have an absolutely wonderful day.🙂
Nostalgia's a hell of a drug. This song occupies a dearer place in my heart than it actually deserves. So glad I found it on RU-vid and can play it over and over again.
It's not just the song but the moments in your life that went on when you listened to it. First time I heard this I was listening to radio by myself. Second time I heard it was on school bus and everybody got wild, for 7th graders mind you. 20 kids yelling "yeeah!!" every time rob did. Good times.
I've heard this song a million times and this was the first time I listened with subtitles on... I had no idea what like 95% of the words were before now.
More human than human is a marketing line from a fictional android company in "do androids dream of electric sheep?" A story by Philip k Dick made into the movie Blade Runner. I want more life is a line from the movie.
Its called Sanity! We all daydream about the same shit. Some of us write novels, make music, take drugs, watch porn or actually go out and kill people. The Killers may be the only Sane ones. At least they are Honest with their thoughts. Holy Shit! Did I just say that??????
I remember being about 13 and borrowing this CD from my friend at school, only having heard the radio edit. My mom picked us up after school and I put this song on in the car. The first few notes went as expected and then I learned that there was such a thing as the album version and that not every song is exactly how it's played on the radio edit.....Full on panic set in as I fumbled for the fast forward button. 🤣
I went to private Christian school but I loved white zombie, korn, Marylin Manson, mindless self indulgence, Static-X., lords of acid, and luckily my mom didn't prohibit me from listening to that type of music.. she always wanted me to enjoy and love music regardless if not her forte
@@thecasualfly That's great of her to understand that your tastes aren't necessarily the same as hers. I loved all of the same bands. But my mom thought Marilyn Manson was the devil and tried to prohibit me from getting into him. That just made me love Marilyn Manson even more. They were my favorite band and I ended up seeing them live 5 times. 🤣 We look back on those days, my mom and I, and laugh. But it was extremely frustrating having her try and "cleanse" me from such devilish things. She took my poster off the wall and lit it on fire in the backyard and it wouldn't burn. She said SEE - The devil! 🤣 I said, no - it's the poster print coating that's not very flammable. 🤣 🤣 🤣
@@aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaasdf That's what happened. Yeah. During that time the media was talking about Marilyn Manson and calling them a Satanic band and to keep an eye on your kids. Marilyn Manson was being banned from performing in cities and had shows forcefully shut down the day of the concert by various elected officials in different cities. It was the exact same repetition of the Satanic music scare in the 70s when parents tried preventing their kids from listening to KISS because KISS "stood for Knights In Satan's Service" 🤣. This was all pre-internet so whatever the media said was always believed. I love KISS so to me it was a kind of badge of honor - my favorite band was the next and truly last shock rocker to scare parents. She tried taking my Antichrist Superstar Album away so I went out and bought another copy. She threw my hardback copy of Long Hard Road Out of Hell autobiography, after I'd already read it. Now looking back she admits she went over the top and fell for the media induced fear.
Never gets old….especially volume on high at a stop light freaking people out next to me while dancing in my car😍🤘🏼when I listen to Rob Zombie so does everyone else😂
I have a memory of this song. When I was younger, I was listening to this song with my dad. In the unedited version, the intro is the sound of a woman having an orgasm. I asked my dad what she was doing. Without hesitation, he says "She's using her favorite shampoo. She really liked it." I'm scarred for life now.
This is the song that got me into metal. I was four I think but headed to daycare and my mom had it blasting on the radio. I was a complete hellion since that moment. Thanks ma! 😂
I didn't know those movies existed until I legit overheard a cop talking about how scary it was....haha what a poocee (avoiding that algorithm censor so ... Sound it out)...anyhow I was a bit surprised to hear nice inch nails and Rob Zombie in the first 5 minutes....BUUUUT then Fear Street 1994 launches into Garbage's I'm only happy when it rains....the lead single from Gargabe's debut album....from 1995....and Machine Head from Bush's Sixteen Stone...and maybe I'm splitting hairs here BUT it's fall/October/Halloween time in 1994 and Sixteen Stone wasnt released until mid-December '94. Then of course there's *this White Zombie tune here...featured heavily in Fear Street:1994 and the #1 single from White Zombie's Astro Creep released in..... ding, ding, ding ...1995* Closer by NIN is the only song that was out in '94. And sure....they're still all good songs and its whatever....but I was 13 in '94 so I know there were great 1994 songs they could have actually used!!!
@@pelicanphuucker4life I was thinking the same thing... It bothers me how they think they can "encapsulate" a decade by using a couple of random songs. And whats even worse, songs that would not be out yet.... Guess the movie is for kids who wouldnt know the difference. Also, the fat guy was seen playong genesis. But he had snes cartridges on top of his tv...
Ha yeah this is shit I grew up with. I also have a remix album. The actual song of this starts with this girl orgasming haha. But they couldn't play that shit on the radio.
*Leaving this here for myself:* Yeah, I am the Astro-Creep A demolition style hell American freak, yeah I am the crawling dead A phantom in a box Shadow in your head, say Acid suicide Freedom of the blast read the fucking lies, yeah Scratch off the broken skin Tear into my heart, make me do it again, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah More human than human More human than human More human than human More human than human More human than human More human than human Yeah, I am the jigsaw man I turn the world around with a skeleton hand Say, I am electric head A cannibal core, a television said, yeah Do not victimize Read the motherfucker psychoholic lies, yeah Into a psychic war I tear my soul apart And I eat it some more, yeah Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah More human than human More human than human More human than human More human than human More human than human More human than human Yeah, I am the ripper man A locomotion mind, love American style, yeah I am the Nexus-One I want more life, fucker I ain't done yet More human than human More human than human More human than human More human than human More human than human More human than human More human than human More human than human
Still one of my favs from the 90's. On my playlist along with NIN, Rammstein, Prodigy, Jane's Addiction, System of a Down.....when I bought my first brand new Jeep Cherokee with a surround system (CD) I played this over and over as loud as it would go.
I was working on my grandfather's old '92 Deville, had the Delco-Bose Audio system. This song came on on the radio, and the punch out of those Bose speakers felt like a punch in my chest. It was so badass, needless to say I listen to this song regularly now.
More human than human was Tyrell Corp’s motto. Roy Batty is a Nexus 6. Top of the line replicant produced by Tyrell Corp. He’s the best of the best and he wants more life because he will be expired soon. I was blown away this song talks about the philosophy of human/replicants from Blade Runner ❤
You saw White Zombie eh? What's next? You goin to a show to see Phil Anselmo, Zakk Wylde, and Charlie Benante and tell people you saw Pantera...? oh nvm that's really a thing -_-
26 years later and this song STILL goes harder than damn near anything else. The volume can never go high enough for this song!!! Edit: Just bought a 200$ set of Logitech speakers for my computer with a ten inch subwoofer. The bass and volume can only be on half because I live in a trailer park and don't feel like talking to the cops. \M/ >_< \M/
I don’t listen to White Zombie very often but when do so do my neighbors...and they like it so much they threw a brick through my window so they could hear it better..
Basically it was a scene for scene remake of “The return of the Texas Chainsaw Massacre” made in 1995. Devils rejects stole a lot of intellectual content from Chainsaw massacre 2 which came out in 1986. If you like his films watch the movies he stole from. I like rob zombie even back to the white zombie days but his movies are basically products of the theft of intellectual property.
@@ChristopherLandonPhotography Though I'm not disagreeing. I think you meant 3 not 2. 2 goes complete off rails from the first one, while 3 is more of a sequel. (because of censorship we get the shit movie that is 3.) House is more of a combination of 1 and 3.
@@enrkm85 I can get on bored with that assessment. My main point is I don’t understand the celebration of Rob Zombie movies when he doesn’t even give credit to his source material.
@@ChristopherLandonPhotography You are completely right thou on him. He just keeps remaking Texas Chainsaw. The devils rejects is just a clone of Natural born killers. I must admit I liked some of his newest album, but its just him trying to be like Prims from the 90s. White Zombie and his first solo album seem to be his peek.
I once went to a rob zombie concert and he walked out into the crowd and i reached out amd touched his arm, it was cold and sweaty just like how i imagined a zombie would feel like lol
I saw Rob Zombie and Korn in concert together, we were standing on the balcony and Rob came into the crowd and over the balcony. It was only a club and was squishy, so we had to shuffle out of the way for him to get past. My brother (he thinks he's funny) yelled out "ughhhhh he smells like piss!" Rob just looked back at us, kinda sad 🥺
obviously you have not heard of '' american pie '' [ by by miss american pie, drove a chevy to a levy , but the levy was dry ] the song is about everyone wanting a slice . plus also it is about all the musicians and their road to fame and disaster. there is a biography about it. the writer/singer does not ever have to work again. lol
I love this song. I'm 47 and female. I have been a headbanger for as long as I can remember and I will be till the day I die. If you can't handle seeing someone like me at the next concert you go to, it means I'm rocking harder than you ever could! To all of my brother and sister rockers reading this : Keep your horns to the sky, the music loud, and ROCK ON!
i'm near 70 and i hate to be forced into dance offs. i win, but i just want to groove. these kids don't realize, if they're lucky, they too can be like us. otoh, i relish the look of the over 50 shy crowd when they realize they aren't the oldest geezers in a club or at the burn.
Man, I wish White Zombie would get back together for another world tour...one band I never got to see and looked like their shows always kicked it 🤘🏻🤘🏻
I remember when this came out -- I was only 8 years old but I'll never forget hearing it for the first time, and then obsessively listening to our local stations to catch it again. I'd go NUTS if it came on. I wasn't aware that I could buy the album HAHA
classic Rob Zombie.. a staple of my 90's teen years. just like PWEI , Pitch Shifter, Korn (before they went commercial like linking park and limp bisket) and Fear Factory.. awsome times back when and as a student fun times with friends in the 90's
I’m pushing 72 and have the cassette tape of this album, that I bought just for this song YEARS ago. And his DRAGULA song is on my exercise list, along with this one.
Kind of ironic too, that both bands "exist" in 2023 as a shell of their former selves by the frontman of each trying to ride the nostalgia wave. Rob still plays WZ songs on tour, and Phil Anselmo trying to resurrect "Pantera" in name only
