Actually, it came from me having 2 separate drums parts recorded for one part of a song. I didn't have the 2nd drum part muted for play back and, when I heard them together..... I thought...that's wicked cool. D.
@alkaline300 YES! Labels like deathcore, nu metal, or whatever, those are what is dividing the metal fandom. Who cares if you don't like the band, it's still metal, and you're still a metalhead. Don't like it, don't listen to it, there's no reason to hate on the ones who do listen to it.
Haha! That's a brilliant accident, incidentally it's one of my favourite grooves, sounds so thick and the accents just give it an extra bounce, awesome :D
@cody181818 it isn't all about the size of the studio - Jason produced bands like The Black Dhalia Murder, All That Remains, Trivium, God Forbid and many other bands.
@perfectdisasterband fuck thats a good line up wish they would come to australia like that lol although whitechapel and trivium are both playing at sound wave and chimaria is here soon to.
@VXMetalheadXV, no man. I listen to Nile and WC and I love them both. It's about what sounds good not who can play the fastest or most 'difficult'. Just saying. Besides 3 guitarists has a really heavy sound. And the lead singer of Nile has a double guitar so that sorta counts as three. It's all about what sounds good and who it sounds good to.
What happened to Kevin? I heard he had tendonidus or something in his foot and couldn't play for a while. I met and watched their back up drummer tons of times but I wish I could have seen Kevin. Hes a monster!
@@davidmagidson5181 Unfortunately. I don’t mind their cleaner stuff, Hickory Creek and Orphan are good songs, but I kinda wish they stayed with the sound on the first 3 albums.
@Eleutherarch Hi dude! Well here's is what I would do: When your Evans head is getting worned out, the switch. You don't gain alot to switching to Remo, if you have brand new Evans head:) But yea, new Remo head do sound better than new Evans. They sound more alive and "real". Sorry for my bad explanation, I come from Sweden!
@MarcAntoineVezina No, they didn't. And no, Ludwig doesn't now suck. They remain the best drum maker around. What other major companies still manufacture their drums straight out of the US?
not really doubting kevin's out though. he's always had long hair and the last 2 shows i've seen them at the drummer had short hair. plus, i have a signed poster of them and for the signature over kevins picture, that signature in no ways looks like it could say Kevin Lane. not great evidence, but just some little things
@MarcAntoineVezina How many Ludwig drums have you tried? Let me guess, you think they suck because jazz players and vintage rock guys play them? They not metal enough for ya?
i always go back to these videos to see kevin lanes face, to hear his voice, and to hear him rape the shit out of his drum set. we miss you kevin lane.
