I'm so struck by how Whitehorse looks like a small city in the Maritimes. Essentially low rise but modern. Moncton & Charlottetown are essentially low rise. No wonder teachers from the Maritimes often find their way north. Kudos to this pretty city along the magnificent Yukon River. Now if only I were 30 years younger.

Missing the peak solar noon of 1:30 local time.. Much brighter Head to Inuvik for true polar night

That doesn't look right for a solar noon. The sun rising just before 12 noon, and then not setting until almost 5 pm makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. Yukon's clocks are not geographically in sync with the sun. They need to adjust their clocks to fit within the proper time zone, about 2 hours back.
