Follow them in Govan every year. You can go from Lorne Street to the toon and back and never hear the same tune twice. Amazing repetoire. Maries Wedding, Big Kilmarnock Bunnet. Don't get me started. They have that "bounce" to the beat that is hard to explain. I don't know if the side drums are tuned tighter or what but it is irresistable. Them County, Netherton, Motherwell, Drumchapel, to name a few are brilliant but it's hard to beat the rock. Peace.
Couldn’t agree more, I follow them around on the apprentice boys parade in Derry every year and the stuff they play and the way they play it, nearly makes you want to dance. The County Netherton etc, are a style of band that’s very much a popular style today. 👍
I lived at the rear of Whiterock orange hall on the Springfield road as it was built when they hadn't uniforms and would prade the entire area run collection this is in areas that are now republican strong holds. I collected even played the triangle and symbols as a kid my brother Big Isscc his mates big Red and Davy Sales founding members. Greatest band in Belfast. If your loyalist then no way could you vote SNP
