Love me some funky old school soul! It's true, I remember the 70s. Not only a great performance from Violet but from everyone involved. The difference between your older music (which I still love), and the more recent material is now this is a world class band!

Beautiful Whitesnake style version of Bobby Bland classic. Very talented musicians all of you with stunning vocals.

Can't beat the classics and speaking as a huge Whitesnake fan, you did this one more than justice! Props to the band and backing vocals as well, your guitarists in particular killed it during the solos!

This was timely. Last night my uncle went to see two former members of Whitesnake. Used to listen to this song a lot myself, as I played their greatest hits CD regularly in the car (when cars still came with CD players) while delivering pizzas. Excellent work, as always.

I'm so used to hearing you do darker rock/metal songs. Hearing your soulful vibrato on a bluesy song adds a new dimension. Great stuff.

Growing up in the late 90's, feels like spending quality time with my dad. Getting into the goove, and jive again of that era "the 80's and Whitesnake" its beautiful. I feel your working on something for and from you. Can't wait to hear it. Thank you again for the smooth melody to grace my ears with happier times of my life.

This is one of my favorite songs now. I must have listened to it a hundred times in a row, and it's not enough. It does what only my most beloved of tunes can do - take me places mentally. It's like how they say that a picture is worth a thousand words, and that books can take you to different worlds. Song lyrics are poetry. Many words condensed into a precisely chosen few for enhanced expression of only exactly what you want to say. When I listen to your cover, one of your expression-dense words brings a thousand wonderful and vivid pictures to my mind. Imagined images and impressions of what life in a city must be like for people en masse, and for the particular person who is the speaker in this song. The music during the chorus especially helps me to imagine a life that I've only seen in movies, because I'm from such a small town and don't travel much. So big cities are almost only ever just places on TV or that are briefly visited. I love it when music transports my mind out of the present moment. Makes stories in my mind, or lets my consciousness surf on pure imagination to places that it's never been or that don't exist. It's wonderful and incredibly relaxing to drift away to.
