@Ben Dover well jerk, they didn't change it, its simply another solo take, now there's 2, my dear friend Doug who played it, agrees. Doug n his family are dear friends, so bug off. The one I'm holding, I built jerk, been doing it since 1978, and a few well known guitarists own one.

@Ben Dover I've talked to Doug, they didn't change it, it's just another version, there were a bumber of attempts...the original is still on the original Forevermore track. Even talked to DC himself, stop being narrow minded, there's even different (other) Steve Vai's solos too

Have to agree. I think this solo is another outtake of Doug’s. It has a few of his signature runs in it, but I think they made the right choice the first time around.

Welcome to Whitesnake light.. An over processed version trying to be clever in the mids and ruined an original rock song with a masterpiece solo.. Such a shame as the original was probably one of the best classic rock songs to come out in a while.
