Man I'm in my room literally watching this show right now. I just finished watching it on TvOne. It was the episode where they sleep together after Whitley started dating potential Senator Byron Douglas. This was the last episode for tonight so I IMMEDIATELY went to On demand to watch the next few episodes. I totally loved this tv couple! I can watch these episodes everyday/all day. My favorites are Whitley, Dwayne and Kenu (only because I love love, but Dwayne didnt have that with Kimusabi),and the ones right before they get back together up until they do. Especially the one the day of her wedding to Byron. This show was just perfectly written and I still love it at 45 yo!
I know these were fictional characters but the love was so realistic. The wedding is something that I had imagined for years when I was a kid (still do sometimes). The love Whitley and Dwayne had was...is what I've always wanted. But I want mine in reality with a man like Dwayne Wayne 💯💜👩🏼🤝👨🏿
All the young ladies from a different world were dropdead gorgeous they deserve an a plus that includes ajai sanders this show will always be a favorite hats off to the cast of a different world
I do agree with this. They had some absolutely stunning women on A Different World. Ajai Sanders and Jada Pinkett being on this show was amazing. And Charese Brown playing Kim Reese like OMG! She was really beautiful. Jasmine Guy aka Whitley Gilbert-Wayne was gorgeous too. Cree Summer aka Freddie who is very unique. Dawn Lewis aka Jaleesa was stunning.
Man listen, if you didn’t experience running home Thursday nights to watch Cosby and a Different World only to talk about it the next day at work, you missed an era!
He took a already good lady and pull her together into the perfect woman without yelling at her belittling her for hitting her I love them together oh, it was a scene when he said he won't be without her one more night oh, you should have seen how fast she was saying goodbye to all her friends so she could get a home with her man
This is the best TV love ever. For two totally different individuals to come together and create beautiful love like this . Love this show forever. Don't care what know one say this is the best love and show ever, The whole show had great topics. Good job to all those involved.
This couple was the true essence of real love,,,,, The Good The bad and The ugly,,,, they grew up together in college,,,,, went through struggles and then married one another,,,,, would love to see a spin-off,,,,, by now Dwayne and Whitley are grandparents,,,,, 30 some odd years later,,,, would love to see their house full of children and grandchildren that they themselves can't get rid of,,,,, just like,,, cliff and Claire Huxtable,,,,, the past merging with the future,,,, the Wayne family reunion,,,, what a show that would be 🤔💯🤷📺
Whitley and Dwayne are as natural as Cliff and Clara. There is just some acting,that is absolutely chemistry connected. Although cliff IN real life was married and with 5 children, he and Phylicia had natural chemistry. Camille Cosby write many scripts for the shows based on her and cliff's real lives. Whitley and Dwayne were the best young college in love actors ever. The next best,was Love Story.
You seriously did your thing with this video featuring Whitley and Dewayne because although I fell in love with the original version of "Can You Stand The Rain?" by New Edition when I was a baby this acapella version from Boyz II Men just melted my heart and it still does now that I'm turning 33 in August of this year.
That night before the wedding scene was just everything! Better than the wedding scene bc it made everything solid. She knew she was still in love with that man ❤

I swear I had a friendship & relationship just like this . With a certain young man who was so infatuated with me . And he honestly became my best friend, my confidant, my lover & my everythang . Cool montage, but in today's world, this wouldn't happen. Dwayne would've stopped chasing Whitley and been completely focused on Kinu or someone else due to her inability to recognize or appreciate his pursuit of her earlier.
