I’ve been struggling with my weight for my entire life. I have actually been going through a situation similar to this. Instead, I am the mistress. I found out 4 month into our relationship that he was married and instead of leaving him..I stayed with him because my self-esteem is so low. I find it so weird that this video popped up on my suggested videos. For weeks, I have been thinking of how I can muster up the strength to leave this relationship because I know I deserve better. I have been refusing to confront my truth about why I am in this relationship. And was really eye-opening. I am a big girl with a pretty face. I always felt that I deserved to be with a guy that wasn’t also overweight. It’s a deep rooted secret for many overweight people that many of us don’t want to admit. This Avi guy probably isn’t all that great, but because he isn’t overweight and he probably made those women feel very beautiful and sexy they overlooked some of his flaws and major red flags..that’s what I did with my boyfriend. I know that if I were a healthier weight, I would have a higher self-esteem and feel confident knowing that there is a good man out there that would treat me so so well. I’m not saying slimmer women don’t get cheated on or don’t have relationship issues. I am just saying sometimes us bigger people stay in unhealthy relationships and ignore the red flags in fear of being alone. I never wanted to be that big girl that people look at and think, “She will never find love because she is too big.” So instead, I often end up settling. Watching this has helped me see my truth through the eyes of an outsider and I want to really get serious about being healthier. The thoughts have been brewing but I always felt helpless. I would rather be single and work on myself and be content in the love I have for myself than to be in this kind of relationship. If I end up finding someone-great, if not..I am at peace with possibly dying single. Maybe that was my destiny. Idk why I just exposed all of my business online, but I was thinking maybe it might speak to someone in a similar situation. Just how this video helped me.
