Pitch correction has been around for a bazillion years and even Whitney benefited from it indirectly. When you heard all these 80s singers who had reached another level of intonating their voices it was specifically because they had pitch corrected tracks to practice against, strobe tuned instruments to sing along with, and quantized beats to help stay in near perfect time. You don't have to diminish today's talented artists; Whitney stands on her own.

@@I-AM-BELIEVER Not true. Most of her concerts were filmed because of the screens that she used on her concerts. Even ET has full professional footage from her second night in Japan from this year. There is footage. Estate doesn't release it unfortunately, that's the thing with it.

i think he meant televised as in actually broadcasted haha but yes, to our knowledge, most whitney concerts were professionally recorded, but there's just no way of knowing for sure. footage we see in TV reports are mostly amateur recordings, and the big screens on her concerts (a.k.a. jumbotron) most times aren't actually recording, because they aren't recording devices (though there is the possibility for someone to have plugged one and recorded it)

@@whitneyandmariahremasters8597 I do agree the estate has some behind the scenes "candid" recordings of her singing, they should release. As well as Clive, who may have something in his vault. I also would love to hear masters or demos too.

Her adlibs were crazy and added so much flavor to the songs!

Did she ever actually sing Taking A Chance live? I'd love it if she did, but never seen any such footage. A pitty because it's a really fun and catchy song, but not may people outside Japan know about it.
