I don't think Whitney was high during this interview. Whitney is normally hyper and goofy with people she's comfortable with. This is the side of Whitney that alot of people talks about that we the fans don't see. And I think that because it was publicly known of her drug use, people would like to sit and analyze her every move and reaction and wanna say "oh she was high". If you can't sit back and just enjoy Whitney in her true element, then don't come to youtube and watch any of her interviews or performances. Whitney is resting in the bosom of the Lord so let her rest in peace without any criticism.
Exactly! Everytime she's goofy or playful, people are like, "She's high." And I'm like, Damn! She's not high every single time you see her having fun, give it a rest. If nobody knew about the drug use, they wouldn't even think that.
She pbly was high. Whitney said herself that after bodyguard drugs became an everyday kinda thing. I doubt she would go public without a little bit just to get things going. She was under a lot of pressure, she needed it and who am i to judge. Maybe had i had her life, going thru what she went thru, id be doing it too.

anjelheaven Agreed I LOVED the wig she wore this period of 1998. Same wig as on Rosie O'Donnell show and the Soul Train Awards. It was VERY flattering to her face. One of my faves of hers.
chasenip2 Yes! It was definitely one of her best looks. I loved the short wig she wore in "When You Believe" too. Her makeup was the best during this era right on into the promotional appearances for "My Love Is Your Love". It was flawless on Oprah when she performed with Mariah. The way they did her eye shadow was so pretty.
It's funny how some of you can call yourself a fan. In every video and or where Whitney was someone has to mention drugs. It's crazy because first off Whitney is very clear and gentle as she always was in the video. Stop looking and pointing flaws, even in death she's still being treated that way. Wow this interview was soooo good! Whitney look like she was having so much fun and you can tell it wasn't about her being "Whitney Houston" she was able to truly be herself. Very playful, humble, and the energy was magnificent between everyone who participated on this show
The vacuum part was funny!! 😆😆. Magic looked like he wanted to just melt when she started singing 😊. She always had a great personality & was always real. Really enjoyed this video. She is greatly missed. 😔💖🕊💯

Im not sure how many are realizing it, but she did accapela here, yet the voice itself is purely beautiful that It almost feel like her voice doesnt need any music.
She looked so happy and healthy here. I know she was partying because of what we hear now but, she must not have been doing it much during this time in her life. She seems clear headed and just beautiful and her voice is perfect. God, she had so much talent. Off the cuff singing was perfect. No other talent out there like hers.

She'd have been sweating by the end as you did see her sweat before long at times she was clearly clearly on something. Nope. I think she was excited for her friends 1st show. Happy to help him out by helping him have an A List star out the gate to ensure other top stars would be guests to his show. And she was just comfy and happy to help a friend. Just like she stopped everything she had going at the top of a new career to sing back up for Bebe&Cece on their 1st tour. Her best friends. And she paid for all the wardrobe for them, the band and everyone in stage so they could make a good appearance. Top singer in the world stops everything to sing backup. How humble must you be!

being high does not make you dumb or incoherent ;well maybe if you're high on weed, or other downersbut definitely not uppers like cocaine. trust me I've had some very interesting conversations with highly intelligent folks who were on coke, or other stimulant drugs . Whitney was sassy and whipsmart always, but she was was even smarter and snappier when high. I'm as big a fan as you are, but I am also very objective.
Master Superblaster Same here. God knows I did it enough (just recreationally in my 20's, and no, I'm not proud of that) that I absolutely know it when I see it. Whitney was FAR more outgoing when she was on it. She was happier, bouncier, smiled more and bigger; she also "twitched" a lot, and I don't meant that she was sketchy, she just moved differently. She was happy to talk to people and do interviews (both of which she HATED doing more and more as the years went by). Sober, she was actually very quiet and chill and wasn't very forthright; interviews bored her and it often times showed. When she did a little coke it completely brought her out of her shell. That's the same reason I enjoyed it when I was younger.
