I always wondered what magical words Robyn could have said to her in that brief moment, before Bobby came and whisked Whit away? At that time, Robyn clearly was aware that Whitnet was too deep into the drugs.....& wasn't listening anymore, but Robyn wasn't afraid to take a shot at it whenever the opportunity presented itself. That's what you call a true friend who cares & has much concern for a friend who is lost!👌🏽
Whitney had so many things she was dealing with in her personal life so the drugs she was doing she just wanted to not feel the pain anymore of what she was going through.
Yeah in the interview with Oprah, she said that she was using drugs to escape about the reality and cover her pain. Very sad that she saw the drugs like a solution😩😢
Bobby knew about Whitney and Robyn's romantic past but he never discussed it with her (Robyn) .- instead he lashed out. Bobby cussing out Robyn over a shirt, undermining her role, slamming the phone down on her for no reason etc ..all that anger and hostility seem to be covering a deeper issue, which is he didnt like the fact that his wife kept her ex around.
Bobby said in a televised interview that "It was extremely hard.....when one is clean...an the other didn't wanna stop. A person has to want to stop.....it was very rough!" Bobby Brown was still drinking but he had gotten clean from the drugs. Whitney wasn't trying that hard to quit then.....so sad...😪💔
Whitney knew deep down that was a lot of the reason for his behaviors during that time. I honestly believe Whitney's rebellion with the drugs, especially after Bobby got clean from them, is what lead to his uncaring attitude....& infidelities in the later yrs of their marriage.
This really broke my heart 💔 when I found out Whitney Houston died . It was painful hearing you cry Lola I feel ur pain I honestly feel like no matter where you were on February 11 ,2012 her death just hit you like a ton of bricks . I just wish Whitney would’ve had a better ending an never had a tragic ending . I firmly believe childhood trauma , being bullied , not feeling loved and being able to be herself on top of being sexually abused really played a factor in her demise .

The situation between Robyn-Whitney-Bobby was very delicate. It was like a bomb which was ready to explode. Say what you want to say, but Robyn wasn't only a best friend and business partner, she was also Whitney's ex. Bobby would never accepted that kind of relationship. If Robyn was a man, Bobby would have had the same reaction. He was very jealous even of all the men that Whitney worked with.
Before Robyn made her resignation official, she wanted to speak to Whit (considering their long history) but Whit kept postponing the conversation. Donna Houston (Whit's sister in law) who did not like Robyn told her 'Whitney accepts your resignation'. As Robyn was writing it, Donna was dead silent, there was no - oh my gosh, cant believe you're leaving, ya'll have been best friends for 20 year, you're my son's godmother, why dont u re-consider.?..etc......none of that. As soon as Whitney received the resignation she called Robyn back immediately, kinda shocked and said you're really leaving huh (not the reaction of a person who said 'tell her i accept her resignation'). Its possible Donna Houston succeeded where others had failed - got rid of Robyn for good.
In a recent interview in 2020, Robyn said it dawned on her much later that Whitney's shock reaction to receiving her resignation did not match the message she received via Donna which was 'tell her I accept her resignation'. Seems like she was tricked...still worked out for Robyn tho coz things were getting out of control with Whit n' Bobby, she left at the right time.
@NIVEA why they were pissed about the drugs use??? I mean if someone come to me and tell me "my son or my daughter are using drugs", I would not be pissed, I would say "thank God that you told me". The Houston are dysfunctional people.

Probably because she sued Houston. She complained to Whitney about Bobby's behavior and the hostile working enviroment he created then she was fired. Whitney's lawyers countersued. After she was fired I dont believe they saw each other again.
The last time Robyn and Whitney saw each other was at Divas 2003 show. They hadn't seen each other for the last 9 years of whitney's life. Whitney called a couple times, but they hadn't seen each other. That was shocking to me!!!!!

Whitney called quite a few times at least more times than Robyn. She worked at ESPN between 2005 and 2009 and her work colleague who was close to her , said she told him that Whitney would call occasionally and they would chat about her wellbeing. He said he would see the heartache and tears in her eyes.

And I forgot to point out a hypocrisy that I couldn’t shake, everyone was hot and bothered about gay rumours but not about drug rumours. They intervened when Clive and higher ups showed concern, cos they k ow they weren’t going to pay a Whitney that can’t sing. From the book also I noticed Robyn had many cars, a Range Rover, a Mercedes and then the Porsche which she didn’t mention in her book too. So was Whitney buying the same thing for her other employees? Or even other family members? Robyn wore a lot of designer clothes, I peeped that in most of her videos, nah that’s a relationship right there. At the end of the day Whitney loved getting high more. Lisa saying she wouldn’t mind having Whitney in their lives.😂 she would have snatched Robyn right back from her. That can drive anyone to do things, that may have never been. Even before that, Cissy loved her kid's but was said she was hardly home, and the kid's were living with all kinds of people. Her brother said that. You give something up, for money, and fame, and sometimes, you can never , go back to your carefree life you had before stardom. Still some of us know it wasn't her time, someone, made it her time, to go. God see's all, tho, and whomever is responsible, there's a payday, for all that do wrong. No more struggles, and gossip. People are still living off of her name. All kinds of shows and documentaries, Whitney will never DIE in our Hearts. I know you really loved her as well.
I said it before and I will continue to say it. Bobby should have continued to focus on his solo career. Even if his album "Bobby Brown" didn't have the same success like "Don't be cruel", He should have continued maybe try to adapt his music to the new generation and maybe work with new producers like Pharrell Williams. But He gave up, he wasn't hungry anymore and he became lazy, very sad cause he was very talented.
When Whitney showed him that she didn't really care one way or the other....especially when he told her, "Don 't worry about it, I 'll go with you", Bobby ran with that. He knew Whitney much rather had him close to her for the protection & affection......while away from home so much on tours. Whit ry was earning lots of $$$ and Bobby knew he did 't have to want for anything. Whitney was cool with it!

She might though that it would be something brief, but it became an accommodation, I don't think that she was happy anymore. There were times that she would like to rest, but she couldn't because a lot of people were depending on her.

Whitney and Robyn each had a character flaw which would eventually lead to the demise of their friendship. For Robyn, she would want to know something but would never ask, Whitney on the other hand would not offer an explanation but will if you ask her (albeit reluctantly). As a result, Robyn aint asking and Whitney aint explaining...so things remain unsaid. It finally dawns on Robyn following Whit's passing when she says, she was waiting for Whit to reach out and Whit was waiting for her.....Teachable moment is 'Don't wait'.
@NIVEA it coulda been Pat Houston to help reunite the friends but she was loyal to her husband Gary who hated robyn. . I don't think she fully understood how deep whit and robyn actually were until she went through whitney's personal belongings following her passing and discovered whit had kept robyn's love letters from 1981. Pat is on a whitney personal belongings selling spree, I hope she doesn't sell the letters to make up from the loss incurred from the cancelled hologram tour. Jus sayin..

Robin Crawford's book just proved everything that we all knew very early on.. Bobby Brown was not a good choice for the Whitney Houston. So many girls growing up fall in love with the absolute worst possible guys, and they ended up in similar life stories as Whitney. Maybe not their child drowning in the bathtub and the girl drowning in the bathtub... That literally never ever happens. But their lives become a train wreck when they choose these wrong men. I don't know her well, but I have met her and certainly run into her along my travels. If I had spoken to Robyn while her impending job at Arista was at stake, I would have advised her to either take the job to get her foot in the door or forego Arista and seek work at another label other than Arista. Bobby Brown gets a bad wrap - true.... coz for years folks blamed him for introducing Whit to drugs or being the only physically abusive partner despite Whit telling Diane Sawyer that only she hits him when she's angry. So why is he still the villain? ......When he married her he promised to support and protect her but he failed woefully!! He supported her bad decisions and didnt shield her. As the head of the house, he was suppose to be a leader but instead he was a follower.
Whitney took Robyn for granted, I dont think she ever expected her to leave. Around the time Robyn left, Bobby went to prison, Whit's father was dying, she was all over the tabloids, she had lawsuits hanging over her, money was tight, Clive was leaving Arista, she made the painful decision to gradually lay off her staff eventually shutting down her company.....she had alot going on and appear to have fallen into a deep depression.

She sold off her shares and in spite of this she was still taking care of everyone and her health was failing her. It’s so heartbreaking to hear she couldn’t afford her last attempt at rehab. Bobby was done with her, Robyn was long done and her record company wasn’t helping her that much. The Houston’s downplayed everything Robyn (and Silvia) was doing for Whitney, look what happened after they left? Nothing would have made Robyn go back to Whitney, cos the her brother’s wives were there full time buying whatever they liked with limited money and Whitney was still knee deep in drugs and didn’t know who to turn to.

Yea everyone and their mother can call Robyn all kinds of names and the woman she spent the best part of her years with chose Bobby Brown over her on national TV, I bought the book and glad I did. Whitney wasn’t loyal to Robin no matter how their story is told.
