I just love Whitney. She seems so down to earth and sweet! I love that she set boundaries for herself on both shows, and I’m glad she had a normal college experience. She’s always been just a chill, yet fun loving girl ❤

I loved this episode so much. Love how open and honest Whitney was about her experiences and friendships etc. Audrina is the best moderator / host, and would really love to see the two women co-host a podcast together
This is great. I recently rewatched The Hills and The City. Brought back so many memories and you all influenced my own life to make changes and go for things in life. So sorry to hear about Whitney’s Dad and her miscarriages. Whitney is a lovely lady. I was getting so into The city and was annoyed that season 2 was only 12 episodes. But I could tell Whitney was getting Bewildered and was looking a little overwhelmed towards the end. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing you all again. Your good people.
I think “The Hills - New Beginnings” could’ve had a good chance if it was the original production team. The way they filmed it was just brutal. It was filmed absolutely NOTHING like the original and that turned off most viewers (especially me), and even you cast members. If I was producing it, I would’ve kept the families completely out of it and just filmed all you characters that we all know and love. But like Audrina said, I think covid really played a huge part in screwing it over, as well, because places you could film was so limited. Also, another huge factor….most people in 2023 now realize “reality” TV is mostly fake. In 2006-2010, this wasn’t the case. We didn’t know that. That takes a LOT away from shows like this. I realize the original “The Hills” wasn’t all fake (it got faker as the years rolled on), but in 2023, producers pretty much make it all fake to generate the most drama. Laguna Beach and the original Hills were just from a more naive and innocent time. But as far as cinematics, they should’ve kept it to the original.
This was a good episode! I think they need like a podcast host that guides and asks real questions. and then have Audrina reacting to stuff …. Kind of like Stephanie Pratts podcast for the new beginnings! That was always fun!

When Whitney had Lauren on her podcast, Whitney even asked if Lauren was mad because she had fallen out with a mutal friend. Whitney seemed to take Lauren taking a step back personal, but now she said she didnt want a friendship outside the show. What? Lol
On that podcast both Whitney and Lauren confirmed that they weren’t actually real friends. I think Whitney is just being more matter of fact. I don’t think she took anything personally
why are you lauren fans so annoying? Whitney didnt say she never wanted a relationship outside the show. she simply said they didnt have much of one. What I know about reality TV is sometimes its actually better to not see each other when not filming cause then you have more to say during filming. Its more spontaneous & youre not repeating stuff you already spoke abut off camera.

Love Whitney! But she has a very different attitude towards Lauren here compared to the "reunion" interview she did with her on her own channel a few years ago. Here she seems a little indifferent, dismissive of LC, whereas she's kind of all over her in the 2021 interview.
I don’t think so, I think she’s just being very factual and telling her side. She’s not dismissing or dissing Lauren. Also bear in mind they were cast mates not friends and yeah she was really happy to see her because I assume they like each other but even then they admitted to not having a real friendship.

It's the total change in tone that confuses me, in her convo with Lauren she says how she's been in turmoil for years thinking they'd fallen out, and that she has so much love for her, they share a unique bond etc. Whereas here, to me, it comes across a little dismissive and like they were never, ever really that close. Again, just my opinion, and I LOVE Whitney!
Does anyone know why this seems to be the last episode on here and it was 4 months ago? At first I thought maybe they break the podcast down into seasons but why stop at episode 2/3 season 3? I’m just confused.

I'm not defending Perez by any means because his website is trash and how he treated young girls like Britney, Lindsay, and others was vile however he didn't start the rumor. He works in entertainment news, so he reported it from a known source, Spencer
@laurenmeltzer7159 right?! When heidi was on she blamed Lauren for world hunger it seemed like. Like Lauren was a very self aware/mature 22 year old, who at times wasn't perfect. But, one of the most well adjusted people on that show during/post.
Heidi and Spencer explain what happened to this podcast on their Spotify podcast “Speidi’s 16th Minute.” Basically Kast Media, the company that put on the podcast (and several others, lots actually), never paid their podcasters, and everyone quit. That explains why the podcast was horribly produced!
Why is Broddy so disinterested?? He should had not be part of this episode. Is literally only Audrina doing the whole episode and Franky chime in. is obvious they dislike Whitney lol
I can picture them getting tired of talking about the same stuff over and over. They have done about 30 podcast of approx 1 hr in length and are only halfway done the series. As much as they try and specifically talk about what happened in that particular episode, topics get overlapped. How many times can you talk about how fake some scenes were or the fights between people without getting sick of it? I think probably would have been better if they bulked a 3 or 4 episodes in one podcast.
Yes, I noticed they kept kind of circling back to the same things and nothing new was being added. Still, you'd think that there would be some sort of official statement on their social media or at least a post on their RU-vid community page saying that they're done with this, especially during the season where the show really seemed to take off.
@@keekthegeek24 well we have no idea if they have actually stopped or just taking their time. Who knows. I do have a hard time believing they can do another 30 more podcast recaps to finish the series. The one thing I liked about this episode is them saying they were not a fan of the new beginnings. Especially Frankie saying he wished they did more about their actual real life and not forcing them to go to clubs, etc.

Heidi continued to degrade and humiliate lauren conrad on their podcast with spencer the speidi 16minute on sotify. 😅😅😅😂😂😂. Nothing new until heidi and spencer is still alive, they will never give lauren conrad peace of mind.
Have y’all cancelled it? No mention whatsoever on their social medias. I’d rather them recap 2 maybe even 3 episodes in one podcast episode rather than 1 episode a week if they are getting bored of recording them all.
This was one of my favorite episodes, even though they didn’t follow any specific hills episode it was smooth, organized and Audrina did a great job. Frankie and Brody are just deadweight. I keep saying this. Audrina and a producer or guest each week would be great.
Yes! I keep saying it too! Audrina is great but Brody's narrative of everything being fake is so annoying and Frankie constantly coping is annoying. I'm relieved that Heidi isnt back either. I actually like her but this whole blame game and Spencer supposed genius producing skills is such an eye roll. I really love Whit and Tim's channel. Maybe a pod w Audrina and Whit would be great!!
Frankie tries though...so I give him credit for trying to engage and ask questions (even though he may fumble sometimes, he seems rather genuine)...the rest (à la Brody, Audrina and guest/producer, I 100% agree with! 😉
Whitney & Audrina were always the 2 nicest people on those shows so its great seeing them have a conversation. I feel they really relate to each other. Im surprised theyre not real life friends.

the show was about Lauren, of course she will be a central focus of rewatch podcasts. Its like doing a friends rewatch podcast and expecting people to pay Jennifer Aniston residuals.
HUGE fan of Whitney and her husband Timmy and I have been waiting for Whit to be on here! This was awesome guys, very well done. I’m with Brody that they should pick up the cameras and film you guys with your families as adults. I know I can speak for everyone when I say I would totally watch that. Also, I love that Frankie wants to golf with Timmy ( Frankie is the sweetest and Timmy is HILARIOUS) and I think Whit should film your lunch and put it on her RU-vid channel.

Yay Whitney ! Glad you got to chat to Whit and she could explain that she was kept separate from the group by producers. I completely agree with Brody with regards to The Hills new beginnings being told producers were going to follow their lives now, would have been great rather than the club stuff they went with. And I agree my thoughts have changed watching these re watches with what really happened. I agree with Audrena about Justin leaving his helmet and getting upset but it was a producer who did it !! The producers were very sneaky with a lot of what they did!

Why is Whitney carrying the podcast she is a guest on? 😂 I could listen to her speak all day. Audrina is stepping it up in terms of hosting, while Brody and Frankie are deadweight and seemingly do not like Whitney (probably because of Spencer). I wish Audrina and Whitney were doing this podcast. They have more insight and generally don’t seem to hate anyone
@@malinss2143 Don't know if you've seen Whitney's vids about rewatching The Hills...they're really funny and mostly light hearted...but they mock the whole thing pretty hard. And everyone in it...including herself. Her husband spearheads most of that.
Doing a podcast recap for each episode of each season is probably getting tiring and boring. Stories get overlapped and only so much you can say about how fake scenes were, arguments between people, etc. They've done 25 or so podcast and only halfway through the series. It's probably getting to him!

Makes it seem like they didn’t even care that much about the pod. They never gave an explanation as to why Heidi left so suddenly. Anyway. Sucks because I actually enjoyed watching these.
Whitney gave great insight as always. And Audrina is a good host. She should always be in charge cus I feel like she actually keeps things on topic and makes guests feel comfortable.

Love Whitney and Timmy!!! Things got awkward when Heidi was brought up. But Audrina did great! I think she just do the podcast with guest. Brody said maybe 2 words… Frankie just talks in circles.
Audrina is always the strongest interviewer on this show (even though I hate that there was a pivot away from the Heidi questions, she handled it well and it felt as though she had to at the moment?). The Heidi host taboo is freaking weird though for a podcast that is meant to be down to earth and upfront with its audience and get away from facade - hopefully whatever restrictions there are get resolved behind the scenes atm. Frankie is always a present and considerate host which I appreciate. Whitney is Whitney, appreciate her always, super sincere. No one else really spoke so there's no one else to mention! In all seriousness though, c'mon dude.
It seemed that Audrina ad Whitney were naturally carrying the conversation so the boys listened. No bad blood. But I think Brody is generally sick of recording this podcast. All his energy from the first season is gone.
also Frankie said she was elegant & classy. Then said he'd double date with her to play golf as they live close. So he has no bad feelings. I still think Brody may be pissed about something they may have said reviewing The Hills both old & new. Theyre never mean but Timmy likes to joke around which could be taken the wrong way.
