Rob and Volk are the best combo ever in UFC history! I can’t explain enough how good of fighters they are, how good of people they are and how good they are at breaking down fights plus the humor in it! So humble and so nice duo that this must be put together a loooooot more! I’d want to see them so much more!
Australians have good personalities, Volk, Rob, Hooker, Tai, Riddell, and the OG Mark Hunt was hilarious too. They are good dudes, would love to meet Volk or Rob one day. Haha I've got Rob the Reaper as my skyrim follower. He can be found in whiterun teaching the children self defense 🤣
Rob and Alex are a prime example of no matter your background, Australia produces top notch dudes. I could sit back and listen to their expertise and banter all day and night
Leon is a well-rounded and ice-cold killer and he's not at a high altitude anymore but Usman's style does really well again Leon's style, no one can predict this shit.
Whittaker’s so right, these guys are all at a level where, one mistake is all it takes! We all have our favorites, but these guys are all highly trained & lethal….☝🏻💯💪🏻
@@bakeone4406 No one can predict or know, we can only guess. It's just like gambling, only if you want to win at mma, then just bet against me because I'm 95% always wrong!
@@lairdale7873 I think some of those people mean Hail Mary in that Leon drilled it but he didn’t execute it properly until the 5th round when he was down big and needed a finish. Would agree that it was planned though
It was a zig and zag for Usman. Sure It was setup but Usman went to that side which Edwards predicted and trained for but Usman could've gone the other way and would not have gotten ko'ed.
@@lairdale7873 tons of people train things they will never land in their life. You can train a round house kick every day for the rest of your life, if you hit it on Khabib you got lucky
Yes but if Usman zigged instead of zagged he may have not been hit at all, it's a metaphor for accidentally making one decision instead of another. If Usman pulled back, shot a takedown, ducked under, many different things. But he slipped right to dodge a phantom straight that never came
Not really. Cro cop never used it in the same way. Rob builds off his jab/jab straight to land the straight -> same side headkick with broken timing. He also varies the timing between the straight and the headkick a lot to catch people, watch the gastelum fight for a masterclass of it. Cro cop would mostly feint the straight and throw the headkick. Rob does it better than anyone we've seen in the ufc. Dillashaw did something similar (kind of). Cro cop also used the body kick to set up his high kick a lot iirc
Yeah despite Juiceman busting all the PEDs to ever exist, grabbing the cage, grabbing the gloves, faking nut shots etc Leon still was able to get it done.
@@Childofwealthh_ elaborate on 'deserve', like what did he do? I also don't agree with what masvidal did to askren after the knee or anyone that can clearly see youre out cold and continues to try and give you brain damage. Scumbag move imo
Everyone always mentions altitude, but it's still a factor in this fight. If someone trains at altitude, they increase their hemoglobin to adjust. Cardio just gets better at sea level because there is more oxygen.
Rob is so humble knowing damn well that combo of his is one of the prettiest fucking combos the UFC has ever seen. Only person that comes close is wonderboy
There's no way Usman loses this 3rd match, he's gonna play it safe the way he usually had fought before. He's gonna fight smart, stick to the game plan, outscore Leon, overpower him. If the round gets past the 1st round, Usman is gonna wrestle his way into the W.
EVERYTIME I see the Jorge KO I watch Herb Dean and how quickly he tries to sprint to get there.. CLEARLY Jorge is KOéd but he still stops his sprint to watch him take so many more shots haha
Herb is a horrendous ref because one of his consistent traits is inconsistency. He has no confidence in his own judgement, makes terrible fight-altering choices all the time
He didn't switch off, Leon faked him out and got him CLEAN. I do agree Usman was dominant, but upsets happen. Edward's is an underdog in a decent amount of his fights.
Crazy how quickly people are now questioning Usman's dominance all because of a KO, which let's be honest was a last desperation attempt in a one-sided fight. The whole altitude excuse is just bs.
Yo I didn’t know Both Volka an Whittaker did this show till they Interviewed Jon Jones now I’m looking for every episode lml, them boys Are funny Together.
How does Leon strike lighting in a bottle 2ce explain that to me please I don't see Leon winning this but the UFC is always one punch or kick away from a victory so who knows
Once they're done being active fighters, Rob and Volk should definitely do a podcast, but with a rotating 3rd guest host spot for a heel e.g. Izzy, Chael, etc.
Whittaker is a an absolute redact. Can’t tell the difference between practicing a faint to setup a headkick and intentionally loosing 4 rounds to use said headkick
Was it altitude or Leon's lack of experience using grappling in big fights? You are fighting adrenaline fatigue, the altitude, and not having the grappler's conditioning. Excited to see this fight!
A KO like this is always a problem. Even discussing now if Usmans legacy is tarnished because of it. It only was one move that wasn't countered/blocked at the right moment. Not saying Edwards is bad or anything, but a surprising knockout doesn't indicate which one of them is a better fighter as a whole.
So called 'trainer of the year' Wittmam between the 4th n 5th round told usman to go out and 'have fun' in the last round! Thinking the fight was won before it was over. Leon dominates this fight at sea level i guarentee it.
