This video is a step-by-step tutorial on how to whittle a cute sleeping cat figure out of wood. The project is beginner-friendly but in my opinion, slightly harder than my previous carving tutorials due to the more complicated body position of the cat. Still, this shape is hard to break mid-way, which is definitely a plus for beginners. Hope you enjoy!

Just go for it. At worst you learn a lot and waste a bit of wood. At best you learn a lot and have a cat.

This was my first time watching your tutorial and it is very well done. It looks like you use a regular Swiss army knife as your carving tool. Can you show a video of how you sharpen that knife, so that it cuts as finely as it does?

To be honest, I don't have much on that and should invest more into honing tools. All I'm using at the moment is a cheap kitchen knife sharpener
