Thank you, you make everything you share seem like the rest of us can do it too. Yet, I know to get to your level takes a lot of time and effort. Thanks, again for sharing your talent.
That's Awesome. So much detail and tiny marks from such a Savage looking knife. You are sooo talented. I was thinking your knife is like a chainsaw cutting a daisy. So brutal but delicate. Great job sir.
I love your work, can I ask, how long have you been carving ,and when you carve do you work him from your head as you go or do you have a picture your work is fantastic..
Kevin, do you offer patterns or other tutorials to help us try some of designs, or do we need to pick up what we can by watching? You are incredible, and clearly have strong hands to make those cuts! I carve, but have numerous autoimmune diseases and not as strong as I once was. It takes me many more, smaller cuts, and irs difficult to follow along, even trying to pause, Thanks either way, and keep on inspiring us all with your brilliant talent! Steven
Very impressive! Is that the only knife you use? I am new and am thinking of reprofiling an old hickory paring knife. I've had good luck using a Swiss army tinker but the steel tends to dull fast. Thanks for the video -Kevin
Thanks. That’s the knife I use most. I have a couple more fish knives I use on bigger carvings. I also use a flexcut roughing knife for my detail knife
Hey Kevin. Very nice job. Can I ask what a good sealer for these types of carvings would be? Something that will work over a stain. Also what type of knives are you using? Thanks.
Thank you. I used only a flexcut roughing knife to carve with for a long time. Any good quality carving knife should be fine. You can easily do a character with just a knife. All it takes is lots of practice
@@KevinCoates98 Thanks for the reply, yes I agree, my first 4 carvings looked like a monkey in distress, even though I was shooting for a wood spirit, bwahahahaha. But I do want to do this, and my 5th one is coming out better, thanks man, and You make things better in this day and times by giving us something to do, much blessings from Jurupa Valley, California!!
Bonjour j'aime vraiment vos vidéos vous êtes sacrément doué ! Quel bois utilisez vous ? Vous êtes gaucher ou droitier ? Quel est votre couteau ? Merci d'avance pour vos réponses ! J'aimerai débuter la sculpture.
hello kevin, what you do is great. It will be much more beautiful if you share the wood dimensions you work in your videos. I can't understand because I just started. Since the unit of measurement in Europe is cm, I am also zoeed. please share the wood dimensions you work in your videos :)
