No silly music, no narrative, just the sound of the knife on the wood and a figure slowly emerges. Masterful!

A good example where you don't need a collection of various types and makes of knives just the skill to use any wood carving knife.

Awesome, may I ask what type of knife you use? I know you said fish knife, but did you modify it and do you sharpen your own tools?
@TheRoadDawg
@TheRoadDawg 4 года назад
Kevin, do you offer patterns or other tutorials to help us try some of designs, or do we need to pick up what we can by watching? You are incredible, and clearly have strong hands to make those cuts! I carve, but have numerous autoimmune diseases and not as strong as I once was. It takes me many more, smaller cuts, and irs difficult to follow along, even trying to pause, Thanks either way, and keep on inspiring us all with your brilliant talent! Steven

Very impressive! Is that the only knife you use? I am new and am thinking of reprofiling an old hickory paring knife. I've had good luck using a Swiss army tinker but the steel tends to dull fast. Thanks for the video -Kevin
