31 years ago I made a similar figure from a small piece of pine wood while our holidays in Sweden for my 4 years old son with a little but sharp knife from Mora . I know he still has it in his treasurebox of his childhood. It was the summer of trouts, pikes, mushrooms and wild berries. 😋
Kevin, will you please post a video of carving the lady pictured with the fella? I enjoy your carving tutorials. Please keep up the good work. Thank you!
Dennis, I would if I could. Sorry to say I didn’t do a video of the lady. I just got the old fellow. Probably wouldn’t have the time now to do another. Thank you for watching
I am amazed how you can carve so much detailn into such a small piece of wood and make it look wonderful. I enjoyed this video so much. I am not sure i could carve something so small. But i may give it a try. Apart from getting all the detaill in there is the need to apply the right amount of pressure and control on the knife in carving a minature. I always tend to take off too much wood. Mybe trying a minature will help me with better control and perspective.. Thanks Kevin.
Kevin, I understand how that can happen. Perhaps you could put carving a lady on your future to-do list? Carving tutorials of women are few and far between. They don't look that difficult, but I would like to watch the process an accomplished carver uses. Thank you, again.
