*Absolutely beautiful work. WOW! Love it. I noticed 3 things: 1- That you're an excellent artist. 2- that you have no eraser. 3- You have a boo-boo on your thumb.*
Same old knife, same old pattern, same hands! Different piece of art every time!! That fish knife in anyone else's hands would just be a fish knife. Thanks Kevin for your time involved in making this and all the others.
It is always a pleasure to watch your videos. Thank you for this gift you are giving to all your viewers. Your work is truly amazing and peaceful to watch.
Beautiful work sir. I did notice that you carved a tie and shirt collar but they were not there at the end.....did you not like them? Either way it was a pleasure watching you a chunk of wood and transform it to something so nice. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Kevin, just finished watching your video. Great job. I am always amazed how you can take a block of wood & create a person that instills a story & image of a person selling door to door. Really enjoy all your videos & I hope to give this one a try as I continue to learn about carving.
i am just curious as to where you purchase your wood from. It looks like white pine. I live in Vienna, Austria (formerly an American), and have bought some kiln-dried wood from stores similar to Home Depot in the State (some kind of pine/fir) that is quite dry, brittle, and a challenge to carve. But your wood seems relatively easy to work with. Just wondering where you get it from. 🙂
I get it from a Home Hardware store. They get it from here on the east coast of Canada. Nova Scotia or New Brunswick. Not quite sure which province. For the most part it’s pretty decent.
