Dengue is caused by a virus, malaria is caused by a parasite. Also the mosquitoes which transport each pathogen generally differ. Dengue symptoms resemble a stomach flu type illness & present much sooner after a mosquito bite. Malaria symptoms are more pronounced with neurological & sensory manifestations such as impaired consciousness & eye aches. Malaria also takes longer to show symptoms due to the complexity of its infectious cycle. However, there are significant overlaps in general symptoms involving immune response.

I'm sorry, but there IS treatment! You should drink LOTS of water. A minimum of three liters a day. It's CRUCIAL for controlling the symptons. Also, dengue affects the liver, so paracetamol (that also does it!) is NOT the best medication. Use dipirona instead to control the fever or body pain. Also, you should go to the hospital in the second the symtons start to show so that they can give you IV fluids. And, more effective that sleep in a mosquito network is to get rid of still water. Specially that one that stays on you plantas vase. With all due respect for this effort, it really seems that brazilian doctors are much more prepared to talk about dengue, including the other tipes: zika and chikungunya. That the WHO should do is press the governments for vaccines! This would indeed be an effective measure.
Dengue is a viral disease while malaria is parasitic. Malaria mosquitoes bite more at night, and dengue mosquitoes bite during the day. Malaria is more a rural disease, while dengue is more an urban disease. There are differences in the overall symptoms.
