@@datonedude152 The Beatles, Mozart or Beethoven. One of those honestly. You can technically say Guido of Arezzo as he created the Western musical note names.
@@mal7040 Yeah. Also, his first four Albums, and his last two albums weren’t that good; But apart from those 5-6 Albums and 5-6 year old kids… _Mostly_ *Untouchable.*
Michael Jackson is the greatest musical artist of all time. He sings, dance, composes music, etc. His sound is so unique and I don’t think it’s ever been matched.
People like you are the type of people who don't even listen to popular enjoyable music, you just listen to stuff to make you seem different. Also do you even go outside? Besides MJ, Drake would probably be the most popular answer
Michael Jackson. That’s the most simple question. No celebrity can ever reach his fame level, with over 4.8 Billions fans. That’s half the ENTIRE world.
Aye I heard that & said, “DAMN… DEF didn’t see that 1 coming”. That’s 1 of those : “c’mon bro… Why’d you have go there, you know damn well I can’t dispute that.”😂 Whitney is Forever cemented in my Top Female Vocalist of all time.
It's easily Michael Jackson. He is the only artist I have ever seen in my life where EVERYBODY loves his music and I mean EVERYBODY every age every race my 9 year old nephew my 6 year old niece my 66 year old auntie all love Michael Jackson music My nephew played the MJ WII game for years and the game was like 3 years old when he started playing and he loved it. I'm talking kids born after he already passed hear his music and loves it
you are right, my little cousin went on a full on mj fever when he was about 6, and he was born in 2013, he would dress up, sing all the songs and dance all mj's musics
Michael Jackson WAS and IS music, when he danced he became the music, his iconic ad libs, he was innovative, no one’s ever come to his level ever since
@@Opuss55 MJ did it all he’s the king of pop, rock and soul. His rock, funk& soul songs are better than the people in these genre. Whenever he experimented in a genre he exalted in it, no one can pull it off like him
@@kaylumboi I mean out of how many albums and mixtapes 2 misses aren't that bad, I'm not saying he's the best but he's getting way too much hate since only 1 person picked him
If anyone answers anything other than MJ, they probably havent seen his work. I forgive their ignorance. Michael Jackson just stood out in EVERY SINGLE ASPECT. His composotions, beat boxing, and above all, his dancing. He was way way way way way above anyone else past present and future.
I’m extremely familiar with MJ’s work; So, there’s no need to “forgive my ignorance”. So, can you tell me how familiar YOU are-with the Work of: _The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, Radiohead, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Charles Mingus, Velvet Underground, Van Morrison, The Band, Sam Cooke, Big Star, Otis Redding, Tom Waits, Nick Cave, Jeff Buckley, David Bowie, U2, Fiona Apple, Bill Withers, Nirvana, The Verve, Neutral Milk Hotel, Bjork, Nick Drake, My Bloody Valentine, Brian Eno, The Beach Boys, Roy Orbison, Bruce Springsteen, and Sly+The Family Stone_ ?
@@CacktusOnCracktusI can understand that but think about it this way they didn’t dance or make music videos or write lyrics that already puts Mj with 3 more skills who would you rather watch them play a piano or Mj play a Piano write a song from scratch then also make a dance for it all in like a few days
People just can't accept that there was never anyone on Michael Jackson's level EVER, and there upset by that so they have to rewrite HIStory to make him seem not as popular as he was and STILL TO THIS DAY is... And I say that as someone who never grew up knowing who the guy was, but ever since I saw Thriller I been a stan of his since, also he's innocent and Wade and James lied for money.@@holy_vortex5226

@@forever9043 music is subjective, so i get if you don’t like him, but personally i think MJ is like the most common answer when it comes to a question like this. Who’s your favourite tho?
Why? MJ is amazing but it’s def not undisputed. The Beatles would be another easy answer. Along with that of Madonna, Elvis, Prince, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Mozart, Beethoven or even Bach who is considered the father of western music.
I would choose Michael Jackson too. There's no other answer that feels right. Only Michael. Cause the whole world recognises his music and loves it. And he's a versatile artist as well. So yeah... Michael the king of pop Jackson. #Respect
@@Emily12349 you must not know who mj is and what he did for music in general kid music wouldn’t be anything if it weren’t for him like that’s the goat
MJ, even tho there're more musically versatile artists like Freddie Mercury, Prince, etc.. Michael you can put his face or an audio of him singing on a lost village in Africa and there would be people that recognize him. He embodies everything an artist has to be from the music quality, the personality, the vocals, image, performance, impact, etc... R.I.P The GOAT.
yeah but MJ’s versatility is top tier tbh. he could do pop, funk/disco, rock, R&B, new jack swing, hip hop, ballads and mellow songs, and in a lot of his songs, it’s hard to assign a genre to it cause it’s just so different and unique 🐐.
@@lukerman510 I'm not saying that MJ wasn't versatile, I'm talking more about musicians that have not only more experience in other genres but also experience on other ways to make music. For example, Prince can play a ton of instruments and make all the instrumentals for an album, Freddie played Piano and Guitar since he was a kid, in Queen they tried a ton of different styles in his music too and has a bigger vocal range (the dude even sang opera). Again, MJ was versatile too, but there're other artists that were AS versatile if not more in other areas, even if they aren't as iconic as Michael.
@@SpiderJAAM Michael did classical too. And most DEFINITELY has the voice for opera. You gotta listen closely. And AS???... Are you kidding me... Elton ain't touchin him, Madonna ain't, Whitney ain't, Springsteen ain't, Laupher ain't, Richie Ain't, Kiss ain't, Axel Rose, Journey, Joel, Nirvana, Aerosmith.. hell Freddie ain't did no Soul, Jazz, Hip-Hop, New Jack Swing... THE HELL ARE YOU TALKIN ABOUT
Prince is our Mozart, he mastered over 14 instruments by age 17, he could dance, sing any note, rap, he wrote, arranged, performed ALL his music, including wrote hits for other artists, he has covered almost every genre, Metal, Punk rock, hip hop, pop, r&b, soul, jazz, blues, Disco, Gospel, country, ambience, classical, techno, house, instrumental. The Multi-Genre God. He could play anything, and your favorite artists have been deeply influenced by him. Corey Taylor, Whitney Houston, Steve Vai, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Lil uzi vert, H.E.R. , Paul Mccartney, all worship Prince to just name a few. Prince recorded his first 2 albums at 16 all by himself, all instruments, lyrics, arrangement, composition & vocals were all by him. He was such a prodigy, that music executives wanted proof, they would fly across country just to see if he could really play all instruments, because it was so unheard of. Prince has over 50 official released albums and when he passed, they found over 10 thousand unreleased Prince music in his vault. He then came into the business and was the FIRST to fight for artists rights, and he WON. He would write "slave" on his cheek and go to meetings protesting against the industry. Prince was also the first artist to sell his music on the internet. You are talking about the most talented artist we will ever see.
@GM Well this is what you mainstream bots try to convince us but numbers actually don't mean anything. For example you use technology everyday but you don't know the names of the people that created that phone or app you use every day. Is that person less important than Oprah Winfrey because they're are not popular? Power isn't just popularity it's what you make people feel & if we are to go by your logic, than Justin Bievers & Drake beat MJ in his ladder years because they sold more? I'm personally touched by Prince more, i don't care about numbers sir & if the world was to black out today neither would you. That's why no matter where you go, you will always hear oppisite opinions. It's like two youtubers arguing over who's more talented & one has 13M subs the other has 15M. It's so silly , they both are powerful in their own realm.
@@_booth7992 L take. Stevie revolutionized RnB by popularizing the use of synthesizers, something that is widely used to this day. He won album of the year three times back to back; no one else has done that. Lastly, a large number of his songs hit #1 on the charts and many of them still have radio play! Stevie is easily in the top 100.
Chris brown as the GOAT of all music is like calling The Room the greatest film ever made 😭😭 edit: btw im not sayin that CB is the "The Room" of music I'm just highlighting how crazy it is to call him the goat

Chris brown isnt as bad as a lot of people make him out to be but come on guys be serious greatest of all time? He will never be greater then mj hes literally chris browns inspiration and is even bigger and more critically aclaimed.
Respect your answer, Bob was a legend but if the criteria you're basing off who the greatest artist of all time is "spread positivity", it would still be Michael Jackson 💀
@@johnwise4341 great song, you have to keep in mind that, yes anyone can make a positive song, but very few choose to spread that same positivity and love to others in the world. Bob Marley brought 2 rival political and gang leaders together and raised each of their hands on stage while performing Jammin in Kingston, 1978 in a show of unity and love. Can you name another artist that makes such a difference to that extent? Someone that puts their life and career at risk just to make the world a better place?
I definitely say Michael Jackson, but Whitney Houston is a solid pick, wouldn't have thought of her, but her voice was amazing and there won't be another like her.

Obviously Ice Spice, she influenced music so heavily. You go back and dig into it, Beethoven cites her as an influence. Even with hip hop, Nas says Illmatic wouldn’t have happened without her. I think Biggie said something similar about Ready To Die as well. And Lil Wayne said Ice Spice is his biggest inspiration. And both Kanye and Kendrick say Ice Spice are their favorite artists of all time.
