Yes, dont change a thing. You are my inspiration for audio electronics and amplifiers. I have learned so much from you. Your loyal fan. I love your videos just the way they are. No bu*****. Just cut straight to the case. And you are a great Person. Like vulcans would say Live long and prosper.
Your good. Don't knock yourself. Real people are more important with this subject. Your real. A lot of channels are way too manufactured and come across false.
Hey man you are one cool dude. Keep up the vids please. What you think is not good enough is only because you are very skilled an therefore self critical at a level which others would see as perfection, jusp slam up unedited vids. Thanks
i am elaines husband , talk to people online. that is a good way to talk to people . I met my wife online at 55 years old. it is never too late. trust God and faith can change your life. Love your channel.I started building tube amps at 57 years old . My guitar instructor likes them.! Take care buddy.
Hey John. New hobbyist here. It's funny. I have been watching some of your vids over the last two or three months and was telling my wife about them. If John lived round the corner I'd like him to be my friend I said. Fantastic delivery, great subjects and fab content. Thanks mate. Don't stop. ;-)
Hi John, I've been enjoying your videos for a long time now. It's great to see your face and know who's been teaching me about circuits. I'm a computer engineering student and your videos help me a lot. We don't get much practical knowledge like you show. Keep up the good work!
Hi John, You remind me of a TV repairman I knew. He was single and had and loved cats. He always was very helpful to me as I dabbled in electronic repair. He sadly passed away in 2012 from cancer. Most people appreciate your help, as I do,and please continue. Stay well, Jack, from upstate NY.
John, your presentations are great and your voice is nice and easy to understand.....been watching your video's quit often the last few mouths. I have subscribed and can hardly wait for the next video.....I have learned alot.....cheers from KY.
Hello John, I'm from Malaysia. Great to see yr face after following yr channel for more than 2 yrs. You hv the voice of a teenager! Keep up the good work. Learnt a lot from yr channel. We share a lot of similarities.
Hey John, been watching your video's for ages and only just seen this one about yourself. I love the work you do and the way you present it. You are spot on. keep up the good work.
John, it was like I was in the room with you! Your videos are not over produced and still very informative. That's what a lot of us like about them. If you are having fun making them, then by all means keep up the good work! Like others, I have learned a bunch from you because I like low wattage amps. You have introduced many IC chips that I did not know was out there. Thankz!
You don't have to apologise to anyone for anything. You're in a slump where all you can do is batten down the hatches & ride it out till you get there. That's enough fortune cookie philosophy. You're doing what you enjoy & sharing it - Thanks 👍😉
John, I like your demeanor and candor. You have a great way of presenting your passion and I enjoy each and every piece of content you offer. I’ll rewatch many of your videos to get the complete thought in my head. I’m a little slow too. lol
John,do not sell yourself short.your videos are really good and keep it human(that includes your cat)-forget about how other people present.keep up the good work.
John its individuals like yourself that freely give your time and knowledge to us that enjoy electronics. I enjoy ALL of your presentations and thank you for your efforts.
You've just made another fan. Keep up the good work. It's a pleasure watching your videos. And whatever you do,do not stop drawing. You have a gift share with others that gift.
Hey John! There's nothing wrong with anything you do! I'm so happy you've decided to share, there are not a lot of resources this useful anywhere. I would love to see that video with more art! I think the balance between logic and art is a large part of what makes us human :D
The only thing wrong with your channel is that you don't post enough and we want to see more;) Your presentation is awesome and you have a great personality that comes out - so keep doing what you do and you will grow and this will help support you. Often, we are our worst critics. Of course there are always the folks out there that will give a thumbs down...for some reason that is beyond us... Thanks for doing your channel and remember how you are helping others all around the world. Cheers!
I just found out about this video, but I've been watching your channel over 1.5 years now... I allways enjoy your content, and I find the way you explain things very easy, educational and fun to follow. I'm Dutch (from the Netherlands) but I've learned this U.S. expression: 'When life gives you lemons, make lemonade !' Which as far as I'm concerned should mean; it don't matter what life throws at you, find a way to cope with and enjoy it which you we're given. Stay healthy and I'm looking forward to your next video John (and cat😁) 😉👍
Class of 86 here. Your "interview" was very real and candid. I watched it all the way through. Thanks for all the great electronics info. btw cool taste in music.
Hi John. Im a bloke from Sweden and I really like your videos. But I didn't know you had a channel about LEDs. I would really like to see those as well. You're werry bright and soothing to listen to. I have had a lot off help from your videos and I like that you're so casual about your cat (Snickers) entering your clips. Keep up the good work. You're doing great!
+Anders Ilstedt Thanks for the kind words. I don't have a separate LED channel; this channel is my only one. Even though I call this channel JohnAudioTech, I do other subjects as well.
I hear ya John... I hear ya. Been watchin your vdos some years now and really enjoy them. Loved this heartfelt presentation of yourself. Keep up the spirit. You are a wonderful person John...lookin fwd to many more vdos from you. God Bless you and your family 🙏🏼
I do like your videos...they are excellent....your style is unique... a very few people do such kind of videos, and yours are precious to each one of us.
John, Thanks for sharing your personal story, and journey in life so far. You're doing just fine with your videos and presentation style. Many youtubers don't even talk in their videos! Just music in the background. I've been watching lately to some of your older stuff and learning what some of the basic are with these little amps. I'm an audio/computer gadget freak too! Keep up the great work my friend.
Hi John. As an audio geek myself in the UK, I found your channel recently and it's one of my favourites. The presentations are always interesting and without unnecessary dramatics, keep them as they are. It's a pleasure to have nice guys like yourself on RU-vid, keep up the good work.
This is the man who helped me building the best amplifier I ever had. It really makes a difference, even though the speakers haven't changed. My Sziklai-Amp is VERY simple but high-end, pretty much the same specs as symasym, that legendary amp by M Bittner. Thank you, John! ... and a few minutes after commenting I have to add: Just purchased the mentioned LOVE-Album as CD. Didn't ever hear of that band but discovered some other unknown ones, so I probably can give two tips in response: The bands "England" and "Fruupp". So long
New sub here. Thanks for sharing your knowledge here on YT. For me looking back at almost 70 years, wish I knew a fraction of what you know about electronics. Retired from totally different field, but always loved all stuff with wires. Thanks again John.
Hi John Nice to get to know you. I wish that you wouldn't be so hard on yourself. Lots of us appreciate you. For me what keeps me coming back to your channel is the calm that you bring to me, especially since electronics is the hobby that helps me unwind from the high charge work at the office. Though I studied electronics early on, my life took a couple of different turns. Your videos bring me back to my younger years. In particular, I like your projects that take an LM or TDA chip and build an amplifier or something. These are projects that I can show to my daughter as they are simple enough. They also fit in my small time budget, as the family and work take up a lot, obviously. It is especially important for me to understand as much as possible about what we are doing, and that is much more important than short video time. Actually, my commute is about 40 minutes... It is very important to me to know what to measure and what to expect. Keep up the good work! I hope that you and your family remains healthy and I wish you lots of great things. Cheers Mark
You are doing good... in fact I like your style of speaking and presentation. Keep up your good work. You are giving to the community that is priceless.
Normal guy, doing normal stuff, living a normal life. Keep it up. I look up your videos regularly for my hobby. You give the info that matters. I like the "I've given up on art", after showing an impressive sketch. I chuckled when you said that.
I like your presentations. I was looking for someone that covered a wide variety of amp reviews and builds. Don't quit man we need your expertise and advice. Your doing a great job.
John, I really liked your pencil drawing of the lioness, really wish you would do more of that and incorporate it into your segments! I'm very glad that you made a video to introduce yourself because you come off as a good person (which is always such a crap shoot on the interwebs) Thanks for all of your great videos. :)
I'd be honored to have You as a friend. Our lives are too short to be bothered with shallow success and trophy wives (families). Live Your life like You see fit and enjoy it to the best of Your abilities. Keep providing the content and I wish You the best.
John, you are a good egg! Man after my own calling. Brave to show your workbench, mine looks similar, or worse! Valve, (tube) amplifiers been my passion for nigh on sixty years.
John, you're a great real person! There is nothing wrong with you at all. As you've stated, "Enjoying life is the most important thing to do". I hope you do! You seem too sad, maybe depressed, for me. I hope you feel better in the meantime. Wish you the best of luck ^^
John, you are doing just fine, promoting a hobby and a passion about electronics and amplifiers the honest way. I heart you talk about a lot of things that apply to a lot of people, including myself. I admire the rational way you handle things. Keep on making video's and share your knowledge. You are well over 15K subscribers by now. That is just wonderful and something to be proud about.
This is a great channel dude! I can wrap my head around most things except electronics and roller-skating. You've clarified a lot of things relating to amplification for me. Now you've just got to stop me falling on my ass!
Hi John, that was a great video, you and I have a lot in common, I was interested in electronics at a young age. went to a community college took the electronics program, like the Beatles, classical music, like hearing a album all the way through. I was an introvert for my younger years, a was a loner for much of my life, I retired as an union electrician at 55 that was 5 years ago. I just love speakers, amplifier circuits. since my retirement I got back into electronics, and will never be sorry that I did! I thank guys like yourself who teach us so much, it's better than going back to school. as far as you style, don't worry about it!!! you are who you are!!! and that is what brought you to over 6000 subscribers. you are well liked, as I read from the comments below!!! best regards, and good luck to you in your endeavors, keep up the good work, and I will be here with you. mike
Thanks Mike! I hope I can retire early. I'm not making the money I need at this point to do so. Although I call myself a loner, I do have a friend I visit in Michigan about once a year. He just retired in his 50s. Whatever happens we me, hopefully I'll be happy in it.
John I'm sure I'm not the first nor will be the last. I sincerely want to thank you for sharing you knowledge. Your videos are GREAT! Forget about the haters. Your the man.
I think you do very just fine, especially for those of us still learning the basics. I see your words as coming out slowly and carefully... And that's a quality many others could use these days.
John, it was interesting to listen to your story . I am here becasue of my journey of electronics which I've started to enjoy in my 32 . After 3 years still considering myself as a beginner . I am learning this beacuse of audio amplifiers , not guitar, but audio. And I am learning by doing. Not an easy path but very very interesting . Best regards
Back again after a couple years. I still love the way you present your videos John. Easy to handle content for someone like me who doesn't have an electronics background, just an interest in the hobby...
Are you kidding me? Your videos are classic. My goodness, you make them understandable! I have gained so much from your descriptions and demonstrations. I know life is challenging but you do very well indeed. Thanks
I've only just started watching your channel and found your amp construction series excellent. Such an amp would seem a daunting challenge to someone just starting in electronics. It's very relaxing to watch and easy to follow, however, despite the amount of technical information provided. I think it's down to your manner of delivery which doesn't feel artificial or scripted at all without however being bloated with waffle or unnecessary information. Great channel!
Nice to meet you. I've enjoyed your videos for years and just stumbled on this particular one. I hope you and yours are doing well. Thanks for the great content!
Thanks a lot for your videos, they are absolutely perfect. I have learned many things just by watching your different videos, you are making a difference in people's life. Please keep it up. Greetings from Germany.
Stop knocking yourself ,Your pretty good at what you do john,I've got to admit-When heard your voice I thought you were even younger. Keep up the good work, your vids are good and very informative,All the best from UK
John, you are one hell of a guy. You are unbelievably knowledgeable and talented, and you explain things in a really understandable way. Can't thank you enough for your work. You should write a book🤗
Love your videos john! Just getting into the amplifier module boards and modifying my guitars after watching your videos amps are quieter and I'm not burning up all my chips. You are super knowledgeable and you seem to really wana help ppl learn. Thanks for videos and thanks SERIOUSLY
I enjoyed the video. I was born in Xenia- survived the tornado! My dad worked for several small companies in Dayton designing Airport display systems and then PA speakers. This was back in the late '60s to late '70s. He taught me how CRTs and amps worked, so I got into building Radio Shack amplifier kits and designed hi-fi speakers with their speaker design book. I've never lost interest in either. I really enjoy your amp design and repair videos. Thanks!
Thanks for your comment! The same storm system went though Indianapolis where I lived then. I remember hiding in the bathroom after tornadoes were spotted in the area. I was just a little kid.
Hey John, I am right now seeing some videos of you,r channel. It is awesome, rich informations and a very nice way to explain, really like it. i am being a big fan from you. Still making your videos. Hugs from Brazil.
Hi John, I have to agree with everyone here. I find your videos VERY informative and really easy to follow. I do not have a degree so it's very important that I can follow you and build my knowledge base with copying your work. I find your personality warm and inviting which is nice and I LOVE that you don't add any sillyness to your videos. So Please keep up the good work. FYI, I also was very much into Lighting in my early life and actually designed and built a multicolored automated light fixture using FIber optics and Dichroic filters. My Good friend was deeply involved in that area and was the first to apply DMX to an automated light (Even before Vari-Lite). I would be more than happy to talk about any of that if your interested. Wishing you success in all you do -Tim
