The most famous Islamist group to emerge from Afghanistan are the Taliban who recently swept to power following a 2 decades long war against the NATO-backed government. However, it isn't the only such group, and as has recently come to light in the attacks at Kabul Airport, IS-K, Islamic St*te - Khorasan Province is still a force to be reckoned with inside the country.
