When you enter the alchemy table it mentions water fire wind and earth (dont know the order but note how they dont refer to elements of teyvat but to avatar the last airbend type of elements) but correlating them to the shades, water would be to the shade of life, wind for the shade of time, fire for the shade of death and earth to the shade of void, with like you said the imaginary element for the primordial one, but since quantum cancels imaginary in honkai star rail and pneuma and ousia being likely the same concepts is safe to say the second who came should harnessed the power of quanta since they are said to be equal in power but the primordial one left weaken, but thats just my theory ;b
I think it's gonna end up being the opposite and the Primordial One will be the one that wields the power of Quantum. Since that is the strongest force if memory serves. The elements are the weakest force and once belonged to the dragons as primal natures before they were usurped by the Primordial One. Prior to the defeat of the dragons and the usurping of their domains and authorities, the Primordial One had no power of creation.
What if, if the shades became playable their elements DON'T react with the elements of teyvat, like in the character screen for the shade of the life it's says "water" not "hydro" but only react with the element of another shade, meaning, if all four shades are playable, we could make a full "heavenly principles" team comb 😂
I'll be frank I have no idea how the traveler is a descenders beings that are supposed to sustain, destroy or create worlds I aint seen one good feat from them to even be considered one of these godlike entities except get their ass beat in every nation we come across

Traveler definitely has a personality, he warms up to the inhabitants of Teyvat over the course of the story, and he does plenty of cool things (usually with the power of friendship - it seems that like gods, Traveler can transform other people's emotional support into miracles).
I believe the sustainer can use quantum and imaginary, the reaction is probably some kind of explosion, just like the light and dark elements in fontaines overworld puzzles

Idk why but i never made the connection of sustainer being the shade of void mainly because her title is literally being "the sustainer of heavenly principals" or in simple words the protector of heavenly order Since she is part of that group there will be more gods revealing themselves to be responsible for different parts of heavenly principals And on side note heavenly principals should be the law that was established after the war of vengeance that almost broke the world since we know primordial one only created 4 shades and they were used to bring life to this planet and introducing humanity to the world which is why sustainer to me is just the one trying to save the world from outsider force and abyssal corruption the cubes in irminsul were there because it was corrupted Sustainer stopped us because of our sibling since khaenri'ah saw them as abyss Sustainer had cubes going down to khaenri'ah became abyss was there so yeah sustainer is probably against abyssal invasion

Dragons put up a long fight but how much of that was their own strength and how much of it was Forbidden Knowledge. How do we actually know that elemental authority increases the strength of dragons above archons, just because dragons can do more with it. I don't get any sense that Neuvillette currently can beat Zhongli in his prime with the feats they have shown. Even the twins. They were beaten with low effort by the Sustainer (which may or may not be a shade) so where do they scale.

Im a bit late to say this but connecting the shades to the elements does make sense. Even though your bbg Asmodeus doesn’t look like it, her cubes are CUBES like zhongli is holding in his statue. I know that’s really silly to reason with but also the patterns on them might be like the geo hypostasis (or maybe I’m hallucinating because of Chasm Starshrooms) I’ve seen another theory of the shades being the second descender, and the PRIMORDIAL ONE claiming them to be his. The shining descenders turned to shining shades, thus your bbg has gold but also dark red (half n half) on her char. Design. Maybe the humans of teyvat don’t know the full truth, and to them the shades aren’t descenders, but to nahida they are or smth. It’s a POV thing imo, which is also why many of the wars sound similar

If the PRIMORDIAL ONE and the Four Shades created everything then what was Tyvat like under the sovereigns? A chaotic mass of just existence where time, space, life, death, and even reason didn’t exist. Man those damn dirty dragons were living in a constant high where they can’t even experience existence. Which means what world were they even fighting for other then their state of being high, selfish dragons. No wonder they resorted to dragon crack after they lost. And Noobilette has the audacity to try and judge the Heavenly Principles for bringing all these wonderful things into the world and hosting their Heavenly Intervention.
I am under impression that the world under sovereigns was not necessarily an incomprehensible mess, and space, time, life and death existed even before the Primordial One arrived. But the "light realm" of elements was a lot harsher. Volcanoes were erupting, seasonal cycle was covering the world in ice in winter and burned everything in summer, hurricanes were constantly blowing, and yet plants were tough enough to survive that. Of the animals, only dragon-kind, and maybe Hilichurls, could survive that. And the void realm of the Abyss was also a constant threat. But then the Primordial One arrived, and reasoned with the dragons: I can help you to keep the void realm at bay, but you'll have to let me tame the elements and populate the world with humans. Because there is no way someone whose "element" is Reason would just randomly attack the dragons to take away their home. Some dragons agreed, while others had to be fought, but in the end, Primordial One got the right to shape the world. And so, climate improved enough that animals and humans could live there. Even though, according to the elemental circlets, things were pretty wild at first, before the gods got a hang of keeping a good climate.
You know one day I will get tried of the primordial one hype. But that day is not today. So, hail the true lord, the PRIMORDIAL ONE, A PROGENITOR GOD HAILING FROM BEYOND THE STARS!

About elements and shades, what if they had to create Egeria, because nobody among their ranks was of Hydro element? Or they could have multiple elements. Like Life being in charge of Hydro and Dendro, while Space being in charge of Geo and Electro. Geo for cubes, and Electro because Electro seems to mess with space a lot. Of all the elements, Dendro is most similar to Reason.
Not really related to the vid, but I hope we get a more detailed version of Egeria’s appearance. Maybe in a 2D cutscene or random artwork. I find her very intriguing and wanna know more about who she was a person. We only know a few tidbits about her as to what kind of Archon she was. Maybe 4.6 and the Remuria map expansion will give us these?
Like you said, it is very likely that both the travelers were weakened at the time. Or it is also possible that the travelers were never that strong to begin with. Maybe the abyss sibling only got strong when they learned to use the abyss powers.
given they both had their original power and swords, I see no reason they would have been in a "weakened" state. it could simply be the sustainer is just that much stronger, but its not really possible to say why they lost so badly rn
I have a new topic to think about, who could be the PO or from which story Genshin could have borrowed the idea for the PO - Annunaki and Nibiru. The long story short from the Sumerian myth. Going to earth for gold is the stupidest thing every, earth has only few amounts of gold, but outer space and asteroids have a LOT of gold, (because gold is created when two stars smash into each other, it can't be created naturally on earth, or any planet for that matter)

Always enjoy the artwork Given that Humanity came from the Primordial One and the Shades, is there a chance that the rest of the races of Teyvat such as Yokai, Seele, Adepti, could have existed during the reign of the Soverigns; perhaps even being oppressed by them? It could explain why none of those races ever made an effort to help the Dragon Sovereigns

The Sustainer cube could e pyro actually nor just because we see her contain explosions but in the deshret ruins some of the defence mechanisms (not the triangle robots) used similar cubes scattering attack which applies ptro on contact. That attack is similar to the Electro Cube's pulsating eaves of electro cubes.
I don't see how columbina could be a shade, since shes only 3 of the harbingers that would make pierro, on level with the primordial one, I think its more likely that columbina is the first seelie.
