For information, Tamil is the official language of Tamilnadu, Puducherry (Pondicherry) of India , Malasiya, Srilanka, Singapore and recognised as a minority language in Canada, Southafrica, Australia, Mauritius and Fiji. In 2004 UNESCO announced Tamil as the first classical language and many Tamil temples received classical site status! And after the research results at archeaological site keeladi by the government it is proved that tamil and tamil civilization is 10,000 years old ! And it is the oldest of all the languages in the world ! Still researches underway, it is expected that Tamil may be even older than this ! For clarification watch "Tamilii" web series by archeologists! Or you can directly come to keeladi site and check the results of Carbon dating!At present nearly 2.5 lakhs students of foreign nations are learning tamil for it's beauty, literature and culture! And a great Tamil literature "Thirukkural" is being taught in many foreign schools for it's great theme! In 2018 the government of Canada announced the month of January as the "Tamil Cultural month"!

Most tamils from Sri Lanka migrated elsewhere primarily due to mistreatment of Sinhalese government on the tamils, there are 2 sides to look at it because one corner thanks to countries like Norway,Denmark they gave tamil refugees a chance to rebuild their lives and intergrate well in society. Unfortunately now the scandinavian countries gave assylum to middle eastern refugees but they arent able to adopt with democratic society norms but thats a discussion for another time. The most painful thing the Sri Lankan sinhalese government did waa to burn the library till now the tamils will never forgive their misdeeds. Btw nice review and thank you.

At the same time, history can be recovered and viewed only with a social science perspective and some twists and turns. It is true that Dravidian was once understood as a language, race and land according to Caldwell's study. But as Devaneya paavaanar has researched and said that the northern Aryans called the southerners as Tamils without knowing how to pronounce it, Dravidian is only an ideology at present. Dravidianism is a counter-philosophy that works against Aryan dominance and its anti-human philosophy. The concept of Dravidianism is used to ideologically unify opponents of Aryan dominance in the Indian Union. Otherwise it does not propose to destroy or replace any national identity. The Dravidian movement identifies itself with the Tamil race and language. There is no order that no one should call themselves Tamil. Dravidianism is an ideological weapon that unites all nationalities while preserving their individualities to oppose Aryan domination in India, just like Communism did to oppose capitalism.
