It is not rumoured, it is hers. Plus, “My Love” too. For “Mirrors” when it was conceived it was about Britney too, but once it developed further it was inspired for his grandparents anniversary too. Mirrors was conceived in early 2007, he met Jess in Jan 2007. It cannot be about Jess since they just met.

Everytime is the only track by Britney Spears I like. It genuinely has a sorrowful emotive melody and her apology is honest and heartfelt. She was very young when she cheated and has SO much pressure on her at that point in her career. She had released her debut album, was considered this most beautiful youthful icon of flawless morals etc. Due to the manipulative way her image had been marketed by her label she was having to lie to the public about being celibate b4 marriage and I think the dishonesty weighed on her, she didn't want to lie to her fans. She was a decent person with a kind heart and the pressure to be and look perfect all the time hurt her badly. This was confirmed sadly later on when she suffered a nervous breakdown and shaved her head. She had lived with enormous pressure and unrelenting biased media attention, similar to Princess Diana ffs. The poor lass was followed everywhere, and ruthlessly scrutinised. Justin would have seen this and known his part in it. He reacted like a typical thoughtless young man when Britney cheated, decided to showcase their private life to the world and made a hurtful song and video such as this. And then another one in "What's comes around", a decent song with a famous stunning actress featuring in the video. I forget her name but it doesn't really matter, it was all about Britney again. Even years later he couldn't stop punishing her, insulting her current lifestyle, trying desperately to get back at her. His face when Madonna kissed Britney at an MTV awards event said it all. He was sneering, his eyes full of hatred. This was literally a decade after. I'm not excusing Britney cheating but no one knows what goes on behind closed doors. If Justin had been treating her nicely and she was content she would never have done something so foolish and throw a relationship away for no good reason. I like this track but Justin's actions over the years only served to hurt Britney"s mental health. I don't think he's the nice guy he pretends to be. Britney is openly herself, she doesn't pretend to be perfect. It's unforgiveable the way she was treated.
Apparently Justin cheated too but the media was way more misogynist and harsh on women back then so people just piled on her without confirming. He spent years shit-talking her, spilling embarrassing secrets about their relationship and generally trying to make her look worse. Knowing what we know now about what Britney went through definitely makes everyone second guess the whole situation.

All these people talking kept messing with my head You should have picked honesty and you may not have blown it. You don't have to say what you did, I already know..I found out from HIM So now there's just no chance for you and me There'll never be. Don't it make you sad about it" I don't think a case of cheating has been documented so openly b4 that time, he told the world what she had done via this song. She ignored the baiting elements of this song with commendable dignity and it's follow up "Britney cheated on me part 2" also called "What goes around comes around" But she did address it by apologising in "Everytime". It's interesting that she referenced this real life event for long after it actually played out and speaks volumes that she was only able to create by far her most relatable song when she was free of the clutches of her management. They planned out the songs she would sing and in what order. I'm not sure why you think Britney didn't cheat just because it was a long time ago. She was only young, he was very bitter about it and she remained a stoic silence.
Wasn't even the biggest fan of this song when it came out when I was a kid. It's definitely grown on me over the years, it's a great song. I miss those days.

This has to be one of my favorite videos because of the vulnerability that you see in Justin's performance. The song is really haunting, but especially so, when you witness that scene at the end where you see the extreme pain in his eyes. Who is he kidding? The guy was gutted.
This is from Justin’s first solo album, “Justified”. It’s rumored to be about Britney Spears, who was his girlfriend and supposedly cheated on him with Wade Robson (choreographer/ dancer). Their relationship was pretty high profile which made this video a bit harsher, especially since the blonde girl in the video looks a bit like Britney. Talk about airing your dirty laundry in public. Timbaland produced the song.
@@MrHale Nah, maybe you don't remember the early 2000s but he got so many accolades for his first two albums and any time he talked shit about Britney to the media (even though she stayed classy, to this day). Taylor has her fans but the narrative is that she supposedly talks too much about her love life, it's a meme at this point. Justin Timberlake is a bit of a dick for sure. But I love his music. He does a great live performance with Chris Stapleton singing Tennessee whiskey and another. There you can hear his voice, I think at it's best.
He just apologized to Janet too for letting her take the fall for the Superbowl fiasco, but there was more to it. He didn't reach out to her for years. His label had told him to distance himself because he was new as a solo artist and.....this wasn't just about business. It was personal. Jan was divorced & she had "friends" & JT was one at the time.
Well she did cheat on him with her back up dancer Wade Robson. But there was no excuse when he joked on a shock jock radio program that he slept with her. I think he publicly apologised for that recently as well.

If you followed their relationship during the NSYNC days, you’d see how obsessed he was with her. He would visit her on set, at her concerts/rehearsals, tons of over the top PDA (he rarely does that with Cameron or Jessica), wear ‘JT loves BS’ tshirts at his concerts, the Pinky and Stinky nicknames, and he got his cross tattoo during a trip with her (he got her a cross necklace to match and she later got a similar cross tattoo during her meltdown in 2007). They were even engaged to be married. So I was not surprised that he was so angry and bitter when they broke up, she was his everything like he said in this song - “You were my sun, you were my earth”.

Mind you, Britney wasn’t innocent either, she was hanging with Ben Affleck while Justin was away. When they made things official and public in Sept 2000, Justin was already committed to her. Then Britney cheated on him with his best friend of all people, the guy who was writing songs with him and choreographing both nsync and Britney dances on tour. She cheated for almost a year and all of her dancers knew about the affair and hid it from Justin. He has all the right to be angry. And the worse part is that when he confronted her about it after SNL in Jan 2002, she lied and told him it was just a kiss. He forgave her (coz he knew he cheated before too) and they patched things up. Then in March 2002 Wade Robson told the truth that it wasnt just a kiss with Britney and that the affair lasted a while. He got so angry he broke up with her by text. That is why he wrote Cry Me A River. While we’re at it, let’s ask Britney why she cheated on Justin when she was also sooooo in love with him?

How do we even know he cheated in the first place… all hearsay from her friends etc. But anyway she could have left him if she was so bothered about him cheating but she didn’t. She then went to cheat on him as well. In the end they both hurt each other even though they loved each other.
Yep. As everyone is saying it was about Britney Spears who supposedly cheated on him. The girl in the video is supposed to be her - looks very similar, which was on purpose. Her "Everytime" song is for him as a sort of response. The situation goes back far actually. They knew each other from a young age (11 or 12 years old) because they were on the show Mickey Mouse Club on the Disney Channel in the early 90s. So, since they were childhood sweethearts, it was a big deal back when it happened because people loved them together. And it's another reason it hit Justin so hard because she was his first love and he expected them to be together forever. Actually the Mickey Mouse Club had a lot of stars in it including Christina Aguilera, Ryan Gosling and JC Chasez who would be part of 'NSYNC with Justin.

Why is Justin not allowed to be heartbroken when the woman he loved and believed loved him back cheated on him? Since when aren't artists allowed to write about their heartbreaks? Justin never owed Britney an apology. He was hurt, just like she was hurt. He chose to express that with this, and she wrote "Everytime." Both equally valid. And I say this as a Britney fan.

It's so much fun seeing an artist surprise you with their vocals. Watch the CMA's live with Justin and Chris Stapleton singing Tennessee Whisky and Drink You Away. One of the best live performances I've seen on an awards show. You wouldn't think of these two sounding so good together being from such different genre's of music, but then, Chris Stapleton sounds good no matter what he sings. Blues, country, rock or bluegrass, Chris Stapleton has one of those voices that you feel in your bones.

Wade also worked with Justin as the choreographer for Nsync. And at the time he dated Britney, he was also in a longterm relationship with Brandi Jackson since they were 12!! On top of that, Wade dated Prince's ex-wife.
Another Justin song/video I'd highly recommend to you is "Say Something", which is his duet with Chris Stapleton. Also, "Mirrors" is another one of his best (and unsurprisingly, I can see a few people have recommended that one to you already).
I love JT. Most of his tracks are simply brilliant. An although most people would say that Futuresex/Lovesound ist his best album to date, Cry Me A River remains the gold standard for me and the one song all his other tracks have to be measured by.

This song touched many of us then and a lot of people felt for him and felt he was brave to share his raw hurt with us . Everyone pointing out the obvious. Remember, NSync was formed by Lou Pearlman. The entire movie ‘The Boy Band Con’ was made about the man. Lou for sure robbed all of these bands of their fortunes, robbed his friends and family and has been accused of unmentionable crimes involving the underage boys he was managing. Of COURSE that doesn’t make this video okay. But Justin dealt with some really awful things as well. We all need to calm down. It’s okay to call this video premise out for being wrong. But everything isn’t absolute. There are artists who make songs and videos about their high profile exes all the time, Taylor Swift as an example. It’s easy to say in hindsight that this video was messed up, but I think everything needs context. I’m not even certain Justin was out of the management of Lou at this time. We all know there was the Britney documentary, I don’t think anyone thinks this video was cool in retrospect. But remember everyone LOVED this song and video at the time. Just saying.
OMG! Listen to 'What Goes Around, Comes Around' and 'Sexy Back' by Justin. Both songs came from his album Future Love Songs/Sexy. That album was fire, heard it everywhere because it produced many hits. 👍🏾👵🏿🎵❤.
