Why are people so opinionated when it comes to wearing a hijab? I love any videos you guys make but I feel bad that you have to keep explaining yourself. It’s for your religion and for yourself. You look stunning and I admire how you look.
Thank you! I do have a question though, I converted to Islam last year and I've been working on wearing a hijab (I do know that once you decide to you're supposed to wear it whenever you go out, but it's been about 50/50 while trying to get my family used to it as well since they're mainly Christian and I'm the only one that's Muslim to my knowledge). Anyway, my question is that my chiropractor is male, along with his cousin and they'll frequently adjust my neck, even using a tool to help loosen the muscles, is it permissible to remove my hijab so they can do it (especially with the tool since it pulses at the base of my skull) since it's a procedure type thing? Mind you these men have seen my hair since I've seen them for years before becoming a Muslim.
Thank you for making educational videos, it's always nice to get to know things directly from people who live it! I do have a question: is it necessary to cover your neck/chest too with an hijab or any other form of covering? For example with swimwear or something similar.
What is modesty? The way I've heard it, women have to cover themselves so they don't "tempt" men. Is that really the purpose of hijab and long clothes?
Would you ever consider doing a video exploring different styles your friends wear? would love to see more non-hijabi women wearing/styling the. I want to incorporate them more into my closet (esp. the ones from your site), but don't know how...
My 2yr old who is my youngest out of *5 BOYS* just started daycare a couple times a week to socialize without me. The two owners are Muslim and honestly very sweet. Oddly, he didn't cry once and took to them. I asked one about her Hijab and she said got it from someone on RU-vid. Turned out to be y'all. I told her great choice!
I’m a 12 year old Muslim for Egypt and you guys inspire me ALOT. I’ve already hit puberty and I have been wanting to wear hijab but I’m not 100% sure I am ready yet. Ca you help me?
When I was 12,I didn’t wear a hijab to cover my hair. I used to use a dupatta. But at the age of 15,I tried hijab. And I was late. Now I am 16 and decided to wear burkha. Although I am not sure.
Please spend some time with David Wood, Apostate Prophet, & Jay Smith/AL Fadi, and Christian Prince to learn about the true Islam. AP is brilliant as he LEFT Islam when he saw its true face
@@jeanetteraichel8299 I actually took an entire course on this in school. I know quite a lot but that doesn't even matter, cuz all I did was comment that it was cool to hear what they believe.
If you were seeing a doctor for hair loss, do you need to request a female doctor or can a male doctor be sufficient if a female isn't available, since it's not life threatening? I'm just curious because I'm seeing my own doctor for hair loss ❤️
Wait, this is a little off topic! But can you talk about your laser eye surgery? I’ve been thinking about it but still a little nervous! Would love to hear about your experience
when I was younger **IM STILL YOUNG** I used to think a hijab was for people who didn’t like their hair! Y’all are STUNNING with or without btw! I don’t mean to offend anyone with this comment, I was 5. 😭
I ain’t Muslim, nor have personally known any Muslims (still dunno a Muslim irl) so when we went to malls and stuff and I saw someone with a hijab on, I thought that was the color of their hair and I rly wanted one, because I wanted to have cool color hair 😂 (Our fam went on a childhood video loop the other day for a family night and one of the vids was 3 year old me telling my mom and pointing at this lady with a blue hijab “Amma, she has blue hair! I want blue hair”) Also little violet, that reply isn’t funny
@@CA_RaeganRae oh sorry about that since I had cousins who did that we actually treated it as something funny I'm sorry if it was offensive didn't mean it to be- (now that I look at it it actually does sound insensitive my apologies)
Interestingly there are supposedly some really great benefits from scalp adjustments from chiropractors! It helps separate the fascia from the skull and promote good fluid flow and can relieve headaches etc and so is actually something worth exploring if you’re interested in that! 😊🤷🏼♀️ But of course that’s a personal choice and could involve a female chiropractor maybe? Anyway I love your videos, super happy and educational 😁❤️
Thank you so much for all these educational videos. I am not Muslim myself but I still want to be able to understand your culture and faith:) keep up the amazing work
I love you guys but chiropractors are a no go for me. I went to chiropractor and he left me with spurs on my cervical spine area that is consistently pinching a nerve in my left arm and also causing spasms. Nope I trust physical therapy only now. But I love you guys truly
Is it permissible to wear makeup in front of (gher mehram) males in islam? Do we need to hide our hair only?? Plzzzz answer. I've asked several times to u guys
@@saiqaawan1601 hey It is not permissible to wear makeup in front of gher mahram. It is mandatory to cover your hair in Islam (for women), but there's what we call Niqab ( which is a hijab + covering your face ) Some of our imams think that Niqab is mandatory and some of them think that hijab is enough. Hope it helps. And I pray to God to lead us to the right path. Amin!
I’m a hairstylist, we have a privacy shield for this reason but normally we’ll schedule them for a day when we’re not too busy so we can shut the salon down as well.
You guys did a great job and educating the public keep up to good work I am not lost that butt you’re breaking a lot of the stereotypes. I will be off Facebook and RU-vid during the lent season starting next month that’s our version of your Ramadan I will see u after Easter
During a trauma exam EMS processionals will most likely remove headcoverings (and everything else) but we will cover you back up a quickly as is safe. And sometimes give you a pillowcase to replace it.
Out of curiosity, if you don't mind answering: how would you handle a situation (i.e. the roller coaster incident) where the hijab does slip or come off and your hair is accidentally exposed? Thank you for the interesting educational experiences, by the way. I'm fascinated with other cultures and feel this is important to understand if I were ever to visit a country with these customs. I haven't gotten that opportunity yet, but I hope to one day!
that actually happened to me before i was riding a roller coaster and i was wearing a 2 piece and one of my pieces flew off completely and as soon as the ride ended i tried to cover my head as soon as i could but im not sure what i was supposed to do. my sister gave me one of ehr pieces while she was able to still cover completely
I personally am not a Muslim, but I do know an old friend aswell as a few Family members who are. When my Grandmother passed away almost a year ago,5 of my aunts came to visit. They were all Muslims and mom really admired their hijabs. My mom asked them if she could also try wearing one,and I didn't really know how my Aunt responded because I left to do something else. I just wanted to ask, are people who aren't Muslims, specifically SDA allowed to wear hijabs? If so,I am planning on getting one for my mom on my parents 25th anniversary. Thank you in advance.
Does wearing a hijab have any positive or negative effects on your hair/scalp health? I heard that it can cause hair fall if someone ties back their hair tightly. Would like to clear up whether this is true or not 💜
If you consistently tie your hair tightly in the same spot, it could cause breakage. Certain hair types are more susceptible to breakage. I would imagine having your hair covered completely would benefit your hair if it’s not being exposed to things that would damage it
fun fact: in my country (which has a heavy population of muslims) actually make all salons either boy or girl salons with no windows so muslim women can take their hijabs off for hairstyles
Two questions 🙋♀️ 1) are muslim women allowed to wear wigs? I mean it’s not their real hair. 2) what do muslim women wear to a pool or a beach? Most swimsuits are skin tight and you wouldn’t want your niqab wet.
1) no, wearing a wig does not count as a form of hijab as it still shows the neck and ears. the purpose of hijab isnt to simply just cover one’s hair, its for modesty, so wearing a wig would be pointless since it doesn’t fulfill that purpose 2) there are hijabi options of swimming clothes which basically are more loose and have the caps attached to it to act as a hijab (you can search up online to see since im not the best at explaining) hopefully this cleared things up for you! :)
I’ve noticed now at a few hair salons here In australia there are private rooms for Muslim women. Even though I am Christian ✝ I think it’s a great 😊 idea 💡
I'm from Nigeria & the Muslim population is over 50% which means I've grown up around Muslim culture & been to hair salons with them. Usually, as long as it's only women, it's all good. So, not even women are allowed to see your hair?
Hello! I work at a hospital & walked into a room with a male cohort; we were unaware that she was Islamic & she was without hijab-what happens in this case where a male sees an Islamic woman without her hijab?
You must have a **Very** nice hair stylist. Most doctors won't Even treat people outside their normal business hours for an emergency, let alone a hair stylist. They just tell you to go to ER. When you are getting surgery, hospitals do not allow any outside clothing. Have you ever had a problem with a hospital during surgery for your hijab?
Is it okay if a non Muslim woman wears a hijab/niqab? is it okay if your a Muslim woman and you don’t wear modest clothing sometimes? How do you know something is halal? (Sorry for all of the questions I really want to learn about Islam)
It's completely fine for a non-muslim to wear the hijab and niqab. But we do have to wear modest clothing all the time (except when at home you don't have to but it is preferred to) as it is required for a Muslim (Male and female) to.
What about emergency medical personell or (neuro)surgeons? It would probably be very difficult to arrange an OR with only female staff, it might not even be possible and there's no way you'd be allowed to wear a hijab during major surgery. It would be a HUGE infection risk. NOT worth it, trust me. Same with emergency medical personell, no way you could just keep the hijab on, that could cause so many problems I don't even know where to begin. And they could never guarantee female only personell, even in the ER, that's completely unreasonable.
Thank you for this very interesting insight!! But I do have a question. You always mention you go to female doctors, female hair stylists, etc... But isn't this a very heteronormative perspective?
They are not real doctors. By definition you have to go to medical school to be a doctor. That said, they are professional people with enough knowledge of the human body to provide that particular service and I personally respect them a lot
Hiiiii I am muslim too and I am from Palestine and I really need to ask a question and maybe you can make a vid on it since I don't have that many people to really ask. so ca you give me the full Islamic side of how we react and deal with LGBTQ+ since I have many people who have a bad influence on me so I really wanna get this out of my chest.
I believe, though I’m not sure, that it is more acceptable in their religion for an unrelated woman to see her without the hijab than an unrelated man.
I’m mostly against hijab due to how many women and girls are forced to wear them and grow up believing they have to- or they’re taught by husbands or fathers But this woman.. wants to wear it And I’m completely okay with that. I wouldn’t do it myself- mostly because I’m not Muslim. But she seems happy to wear it for her religion- and I’m all for that Full support from me, I think this is nice. Good for her
theyre taught by their mothers and sisters as well.. why only mention men? Most cases its in their heart to wear it.. but a few cases its not... of course theres no force in religion so thats wrong
I am someone with really bad migraines sometimes anything touching my hair makes me feel awful even though I still have to leave the house to go to like a doctor or work or get food you know the necessities. I know this is a really personal thing and depends on the person but how would you deal with it?
okay, this is probably a the bit under of the hijab! but some people may think it’s your hair! just letting you know u can see soemthing under the hijab
Just a curious question, don't have much knowledge Can Hijabi girls show photos of themselves when they didn't wear the hijab, when they were children perhaps?
Why are people so obsessed with seeing a hijabi girl's hair? I'm pretty sure its like any other head of hair on a middle eastern woman who is not a hijabi.
dw it’s not a weird question at all! hijabs are worn in islam as a symbol of modesty and religious expression. it draws attention away from physical appearance and allows people to judge you based on your personality instead :)
Yes. But it'll be best to show only to moslem women, as they're understand better the dos and don'ts, Or if they're non-moslem it is important to emphasize these (dos and don'ts) before taking it off in front of them.
@@SalehFamily that's what I thought- in my culture, it is the same. If a woman is married, you do not touch her, or speak with her more than necessary (not at all if she is alone w/o her husband, you can just nod) or say her name, or ask about her, or mention her, or even put her name in a letter. Love your videos, they're very good for Westerners, you have great energy Brother.
Love your content. I think your awesome...but I'm not religious and would like to know why you can't show your hair? Just curious, not being disrespectful.
Because I'm our religion women are precious so we have to keep ourselves covered like any other precious things are in nature (like pearls) since hairs are sign of beauty if we show our beauty to everyone we will loose our dignity and worth.
Us muslims are allowed to befriend anyone regardless of ethnicities and religions, muslim are unable to give support for LGBTQ over religious rule, but we are supposed to respect them regardless as a person.
