I like to think Jaspers not even upset that they’re accusing him of things and he’s mostly just upset they went through his stuff.

I literally cracked up when Jasper is talking about all the other vampires think its all about being fancy and spending money, and Victoria Nelli and Victor all just look at each other like "yeah"

So....can we give Alex a goddamned Emmy for this episode?!

You know, it’s so hard to picture Jasper as a wretched monster when he’s being compared to puppies and labradoodles. I just think he’s adorable now.

I actually feel more for the Nosferatu than any of the other characters. Didn't think of the newbie vamp "extreme privilege" until this episode. I just applauded her trying to maintain her humanity, especially with the Brujah emotional problem.

Taliesin showing up to read the announcement about Season 2 IN CHARACTER was a stroke of genius. I love hearing him call Annabelle Babydoll, too :D

Jasper is for real a realistic kindred. He admits the monstrosity of their existence. The other players kind of hide behind all kinds of justifications.

Being someone who has loved Bloodlines, but never played the tabletop, and watching the beginning of this I couldn't help but laugh when I imagined how interesting it must be to be a Storyteller and have your players randomly growl and hiss at you lol. Also LOVED watching Jasper lay it all down in the beginning.

As a French person, I always smile when they pronounce "Le chat noir" in French. it's very nice and charming with the English accent.

Alex's acting for Jasper is great. Nellie G. is the sexy vampire lady. Victor's the power hungry vampire and Jasper is the aloof guy who hangs out with these two. Annabelle is the new kid on the block and I for one hope she will never lose her hope.

I absolutely love the relationship between Anabelle and Jasper. It feels like they are forming a true friendship. I wonder if we will see our illustrious storyteller take advantage of that relationship. #evilgrin

weird that Therese showed up and not Jeanette. You'd think a party at something called the Succubus Club would be more to her tastes... Damn I love this, the characters are all so great. Jasper of course, but props to Victor the amazingly convincing Ventrue!

I remember when I first read VTM as a tween back in the 90s and thinking it was wild the Cam didn't want to use phones, and the young Anarchs were all about modern conveniences. But now the Anarchs being like "yeah, let's just live stream our immortal selves through apps that sell facial recognition data, use GPS to go to our secret hideouts, and talk about killing people in group text" knowing what every millennial knows in 2019 feels wild. Like, they literally know the feds know at them by name and were getting tips off from a salty old man neophyte, who's suddenly going missing, and they're more trusting of social media and the cops than my parents. I dunno, I'm starting to the Cam and shovel heads were right, at least about going old school off the grid. Really curious how, rather than if, this stuff is going to get them in trouble in S2 as the Storyteller seems to keep taking notes based on Group chat.

I legitimately thought the lady playing Victoria was Jennifer Lawrence for a hot minute.

Spoilers When Victor tried to wheel and discuss, whilst Nelli used Rapid Reflexes to put the knife to the imprisoned Kindred's throat and Annabelle cried out, "What are you doing?" - I feel like that really encapsulated the characters. Victor trying to reach a middle ground, Nelli cutting to the point without hesitation, and Annabelle trying to moralize something clearly wrong such as this Kindred hiding secrets, but being blinded by the fact that she's been imprisoned.

Jessica is on point as Victoria, especially when she gets snippy with Victor, telling him to have a drink.

Can we just acknowledge that Victor absolutely KILLS IT in eyeliner

Poor Jasper xD I wonder if he had any willpower at all to help, but probably not. Lol. Man, poor Jasper. Honestly, not a huge fan of when people force characters to do things, but this is Vampire, and he took it in stride, so props to him! Jasper is definitely one of my favorite characters though.

Literally 6 minutes in and Annabelle is crying. Record time.

“You’re well on your way to being the first...not horrible vampire, so...keep it up.” The thing I find most fascinating with Jasper, Nelli, and Victor is that while some of them don’t outright say it, (Nelli, I’m looking at you) all three of them *want* on some level for Annabelle to prove them wrong. To prove that you can be a monster in body but not in spirit. That there is some measure and means to balance power and respect among the undead. Keep it up Annabelle. For their sakes as well as your own. I for one cannot wait for the new story for our coterie, and see what all sorts of deliciously dark trouble they can get into. What a lovely way to start the new year of 2019!

Hi, I'm ST, I'll be playing fan number 12 and I too am very happy to have Jasper back.

I started with episode 5 to watch Taliesin. Quickly realised this was no ordinary roleplay show. Went back to episode 1. So glad I did. I ended up subscribing to Alpha and watching the whole series over several days (including the wonderful epilogues). The character interactions in LA by Night are just a joy. I expect that quite a bit of preparation is needed to keep the improv humming along so smoothly, but it hardly matters that it all seems rather more tightly scripted than, say, Critical Role. I mean, how else can you confidently declare the name of the episode before it even begins, unless you have a pretty clear idea what's going to go down in what order? But this isn't a criticism. I love it! You can really see the difference that an actor brings with all their physical presence, even when the focus isn't on them. It's absolutely compelling to watch these guys do their thing. And Jason Carl just ties it all together perfectly. Bravo! By the way I think some of the best scenes are in the epilogues, especially between X and Annabelle. X goes from crazy to deadly serious in a heartbeat and it's just electric. I could watch him all day. Can't wait for season 2. Such inspiring storytelling! More please!

This episode was absolutely amazing. Alex playing Jasper is just the best. The lines he comes up with are GOLD. I was laughing multiple times from every character. The storyline is fantastic. I'm super glad I found this, well done guys and I'm looking forward to watching the rest of this, I don't want to catch up too soon though.

I wasn't ready for the very emotional moment between Jasper and Annabelle!! I almost cried there. Victoria was such a badass but funny character. I loved all the guests, I hope they'll all return.

On my second watch-through of this series, it can get so dark and serious and grave that I'm grateful for moments of levity and joy like Jasper's moonwalking.

Jasper being persuaded to dance was the funniest thing in the world!

I love Jasper's smile.. soooo wide and encompassing and dellightful as it sort of gets.... revealed

I've watched the first half of this episode over and over again on Alpha. There's some stellar role playing and character stuff going on, and I love Jasper calling the others out on how STUPID they were to believe that he had embraced Tara. I'll give Annabelle the benefit of the doubt because she's been Kindred less than a month, but Victor and Nelli really should have known better.
