They filmed this rushly at 3 in the morning with their schedules packed individually beforehand and afterwards. I might say GOT is actually a rushed unit since there was no proper promotions, no mv, and etc. SM just really tested the waters in here. Nonetheless, they did all their very best in this choreo. Seulgi, Karina, Hyo, BoA really shined to this choreo.

i mean to be honest most music show started their shoot at 3am or so because of the editing they want to maximize everything since it has no audience, so everyone who attended m countdown that day also shoot at 3am

Karina and Seulgi are indeed two aces but let's not forget the OG Kpop Dancing machine. Hyoyeon has become a mentor, idol of idols, soloist and a DJ already. She needs nothing to prove to newer fans. As a sone for over 6 years now, I have high respect to Hyoyeon. He ability and adaptability to any genre is top tier. No one can beat that.

I thought the same thing too! I feel like Seulgi, before learning tutting, already had a thing for enhancing her moves by adding hand and finger movements. And the tutting training really refined that, I'm so happy to see that it's paying off!

Boa did better than everone here. She's the one who mostly got the footworks right. Hyoyeon really lacked energy it looks as if she wasn't even trying and she simplified alot of moves

@@saving_graciela9203 This was a really off day for Hyo. The original performance video was so much better than this. Her energy was toned down in the dance practice but not as much as this. BoA's experience really comes out when she's put in a group with younger idols. Her ability to make choreos seem really easy to dance to is not a common trait. Plus, her hips are WILD. The way she can control and extend hip motions is at peak.

@@dantan7881 I do agree. Hyoyeon is still a good dancer. Her torso control is insane, however her lack of athlethicism and underdeveloped footworks really show in this choreography. In my opinion Seulgi also did better than her here. Also I'm surprised by Wendy too. Her energy and enthusiasm in performing makes me really enjoy watching her.

@@shujinko2944 I don't see any problem with it. Seulgi's isolating their arms so fast and to do that, you need to have a stiff torso. It's a technique used often we see it all the time in wacking where you need to move the hands fast and you wouldn't want a relaxed torso to properly execute the arm movements.

I think for Winter it's due to her style ? i don't know maybe she was exhausted but she wasn't as detailed in aespa choreos, her style is more soft and more detailed but for step back I didnt see her actually putting a lot than she can (im not blaming her) I really think SM rushed Step Back because we can also see that all the gurls are lacking where they cant lack

You don't understand how proud I am of wendy. One thing for sure, she's a diligent learner, her hard work is beyond people's doubt. I knew from the start she would nail this unit just like her other works. She improved so much in dancing these years, even before her accident, and she said that she wants to take more dance lessons this year. Yes please do wendy! I would love to see more of dancer wendy having fun on stage. Also, thank you for the analysis, I've been waiting for this kind of video especially for wendy's dancing.

Hyoyeon has nothing to prove anymore. She's been dancing for over 15 years. She's the OG Kpop Dancing machine and no one can beat that. I am a fan for six long years and I have seen both her old and new dances and man. She's over any dancers now. Also, never forget she once trained with make trainees because female dances are too easy for her.

Hyoyeon is definitely a really good dancer. In fact she is one of the best. But saying she's the best? I don't think so when she struggles in executing complex footworks, that's why she simplifies them. She simplifies alot of them here. It's not also her first

For being in a group for more than a decade, Hyo definitely knows how to held back her energy to match the others. You can see the power when she dances with Boa and Seulgi on the dance break but when it came back, her moves changes back again to blend with other members. And i just watched the dance practice and bestie doing her moves chill and clean. Also can we talk about Karina on the DP? girl deserves the appreciation finally😭

1:20 In my opinion, Seulgi does this move the best. Even though she doesn’t do the footwork like Boa or Karina did, it gives her more balance and control to cleanly roll her head (in sync with her hands), torso and hips; if you look at boa and karina their torso is relatively stiff, they don’t fully do the head movement (karina kinda does it, but she doesn’t move it in sync with her hands because they’re a little messy), their hip movements and hand movements aren’t as clean as they could be without the added footwork.

People rarely talk about it because she control her arms well, which makes her hypermobility went unnoticed. We never know for sure if the leg movement was indeed part of the choreo. Because if it was, I highly doubt the other girls couldn't do it especially Seulgi and Hyo.

Dancers needs to execute movements but if you can't make it appealing to the audience, it will look awkward. If you aren't a dancer, you wouldn't know that. BoA was the only one executing it full out consistently every chorus, Seulgi and Hyo did that move too but they only completed it the 1st time but went sloppy the 2nd time.

@@alexistudion3709 then this video should be best appealing performer, not ranking their dancing. BoA deserved a lot more than you credited her in terms of precisely executing the choreo. A lot of the times k pop dancers looks more appealing than actual dancers but that in no way makes them better dancers. Otherwise dancers would’ve taken over the idol industry already and idols wouldn’t have a chance.

They are most likely out of sync because they haven't spent much time on this (which is a shame given the lineup and... And clearly a LOT less than they spent on their male super group 🙄). They are all also from different teams that have their own way of dancing and timing. They also know when and how to hold back and perform as a unit within their own groups. It looks like Hyoyeon and BoA picked up the choreography in one go... Even though they are also main dancers, Seulgi and Karina as dancers overall are not as strong as Hyo and/or BoA, but they stand out more because it looks like they put more time into learning the choreography. Taeyeon, Winter, and Wendy all deserve a LOT of credit for not only keeping up with the dance line but holding their own too!

sm isn’t even trying to hide its favoritism. GOT the beat barely got any promotions, has no MV, and only one special stage? it’s doing so well in korean and international charts but it’s so frustrating to see that they’re being paid dust.
