Ma lin of course.Persson did a spinny loop and ma lin just dropped it and made it bounce twice in the table! who else can do that?

Agree. Ma's drop shot had to overcome tons of top spin from the incoming ball and still managed to make it bounce twice on the table. Xu Xin's one was similar, but not as difficult as Ma's

Ma Lin's drop shot is in between a rally. It's not a chop block like Koki Niwa or Ma Long, which still goes forward. It looks lika a push returning a short serve.

Someone at my club did a Godlike dropshot last week. Sad it didn't get filmed... He took a smash from close to the table and did some wiping motion to take all energy and spin out of the ball and dropped it just over the net

They were laughing because of his deception buy that ball had no spin on it it was easy to do.

Of course Waldner. He established drops shots in table tennis. There is only one scene here of Waldner with dropshot. Just check out his other drop shot on YT. You will wonder. Its an art of Waldner and his ball feeling.

Searched for ping pong drop shot, wondering whether it is a possible shot in ping pong. Genuinely surprised and impressed by this highlight reel. It's very different to drop shots in tennis and badminton, but that's obviously going to be the case, same impressive finesse tho.
