Silk sang as a unit. You can tell they have been together as singing group for awhile. Harmonies were like butter. Day 26 sings like a bunch of lead singers. A team of Lebrons and Steph Currys. All doing their own thing. Thats what theyre missing cohesion (sp)
This isn't fair because Lil g had to have been one of the best singers ever in R&B. He alone put their version over all others. Day26 did a good job but if you can't hit the notes like Lil'g could in his prime, don't touch this song.

this is like a no brainer. although I do like day 26, silk morphed into absolute sexiness. you could see them feeling the piano and the harmonies of each other's voices. silk did it better.👏👏👏💯
a bigger talent than lil G has not been born yet. but Day 26 is a close second for sure. if you're gonna do a Silk tribute, Day 26 is who you get to do it.. What a treat both performances💖💝

Day 26 did their thing. They sang they ass off. However..... You can't beat the emotion that that classic raw piano brings. That original is CLASSIC. As dope as Day 26 is, it can't be compared.
Silk is the originator. No one can compare. Day26 sounds awesome! And I think they made the song to pay tribute as well as show their vocals. They did just that! Kudos to both!

Lil g G is the king of ad-libs and he can blow, don't ever think for one minute that day 26 sung it better PLEASE!!! they sounded like they were running into one another.. like they don't know who's suppose to sing what part. SORRY! but LIL G voice cannot be duplicated....
Day 26 does not even come close to Silk. Day 26 try’s to out sing each other instead of singing as one unit. Day 26 can’t sit with Silk! There is no comparison
+R&B Nights That's what I was going to say too. Lil G is a beast and I think very underrated as a singer. My only thing about the Day26 performance was that they didn't seem like they were really together on the song in the beginning. While Brian was singing, they were back there laughing with each other.
Day 26 was a DOPE group, and I just don't think people knew what they were hearing with these guys, considering real r&B had been gone for a good while. These dudes were the TRUTH! They survive in the 90's if they were there.
BlueSkyTradingLLC day26 slept on. Vocally as a group day26 is better. Silk has the best singer in lil g. But after g and John, the other guys can’t match day26 vocally.

day 26..take notes. this is harmony and sheer beauty of fluid voices..each note is a caress ,a tickle,a grab..the voices are instruments they perfected.
I think the answer will always be Silk but Day 26 definitely is right there with them on their song y'all. If Day 26 could keep the group together they would be bigger than Jodeci. All of them have amazing voices.

Ok..So this is really about ole skool versus new. Day 26 showed how advance the song was from when silk did it. but to say they did it better would be an insult to Silk because they invented it. Silk in there prime, Day 26 wouldn't stand a chance. I will NOT knock Day 26 because if I had never heard song done by Silk I still would have bought it because it a dope song period
