Will's version is good, but you just can't replicate the richness and texture of Vessel's voice. Once you hear Vessel sing it, everything else pales in comparison.
@@Kelly_Cook Yah, man. The vocals aren't meant to be harsh and overpowering. That's not the point of the song. Will's clean vocals here just sounds like a guy attempting a cover. His cleans don't fit the mood of the song at all, and so, he resorts to what he's comfortable doing...harsh deathcore screams, which on their own are cool, but they don't really fit the mood of the song. There's nothing hypnotic about someone doing deathcore screams. Vessel's calculated breathiness and repeated vocal runs are what's hypnotic, like someone in a trance repeating a chant over and over.
Will Ramos isn't human. No human is capable of generating those sounds. They stuck a camera down his nose and I directly watched him, but I still don't believe it. It's those damn chemtrails.
“To the hellfire” is a showcase of Will’s vocal talent, but the “pain remains” trilogy is where the feels are. Pull up the lyrics, watch the music videos, and have yourself a good cry.
Love Will as a vocalist doing what he does best (death mode) but Vessel is better at the cleans, technically. Putting vocal tone preferences aside, Will has a way to go on cleans. I have no doubt he will get there. The wig looks good on you I think but If I never saw your vids and I randomly saw you in public I might think you were one of those people Tom MacDonald raps about. 😁 Also check out Jinjer if you haven't yet. Tatiana Shmayluk is insanely good at what she does.
It's insane that the first time you heard Will Ramos was when he was singing. So backwards. You were right about one thing -- His screams are the best out there. His range in screams is unmatched. He's straight up metal/deathcore.
this is one of the times that the cover really competes with the original, but he put so much emotion into it especially with the screams it was amazing.
His ban is named Lorna Shore has some bangers! Wanna cry? Listen to the Pain Remains I, II and III. Wanna get adrenalin bump? Good, listen to To the Hellfire or to Sun//Eater. All of them are so soooo good :)

I give Will Ramos credit for the harsh vocals in his music, but I still think Vessel's "soulful" sound in the heavy genre is too unique to not want to explore more of.
Sleep Token did it better, but Will's version is still Epic🤌🏼🔥 if you do react to Lorna Shore then definitely listen to the Pain Remains trilogy and watch the video that has all 3 music videos together. Also, make sure you have tissues ready. Your eyes will water😭 Will has the best harsh vocals ever in any type of Metal. To the Hellfire might be a better song to react to first. Leave the trilogy for a follow-up to it.
I remember when this dropped and everyone heard Will do cleans for the first time and we were like 😮 If you’re checking out Lorna Shore….its NOTHING like this and not a clean vocal in sight 😂 Will is also a HUGE fan of Sleep Token.

I will always appreciate Will's love for Sleep Token. But his music is not for me. It's what people have came to dub screamo. For alot of casual listeners, they have never heard Will's clean vocals untill the Sleep Token covers.
Nah, people haven't "came to dub" it screamo, because "screamo" is an *actual* hardcore & punk-adjacent genre that's been around for decades, and it's nowhere near the stylistic spaces that Lorna Shore move around in. And it ain't even casual listeners, like, Will's fans didn't even know the man _could_ sing until he started playin around with ST lmao That said, Lorna Shore isn't my thing either, but I love Will Ramos anyway. He's such a kind and charismatic guy, how could you not!
@@Trepanation21 you're totally right. I really don't get into his style at all, I've just heard people on social media call screamo. But I watch all the videos that he did with The Charismatic voice. I saw the one where he pretended to be her and made a video reacting to one of his covers.... It was hilarious. Their relationship is unexpected but amazing.
Blue or black hair still pretty. Im with you Tokens cleans better, screams took the cover to another level. You have a beautiful (not sure its the right word) but huskier voice. Proper training you would sound low key amazing on sad songs. Thats a compliment cant stand the poppy higher pitch stuff. Good reaction.
If you listen to them back to back its really hard to say the original is better. I love sleep Token and generally prefer their style to the lead singers band (Lorna Shore), but the mixing and details he adds during the cover make the original just seem basic. I truly enjoy both versions and of course, all due respect to the original writing, however for me he out does them in the cover from start to finish. My sole critique is that when he was hitting those falsetto runs in the bridge the vocals should have been bumped up 1 notch because the runs he performs there are just flawless and after every listen I always wish they stood out more.
Vessel wrote it...Will only covers it. Personally Ive never listen to Will and honestly never will (all pun intended lol). Nothing beats the ORIGINAL creativity of a brilliant musician who COMPOSED all of these amazing songs from his imagination. One is a King the other simply a follower riding off the coatails of anothers creativity. Being a musician myself I stand behind my honest opinion. Always luv ur reactions tho so keep up the good work 💯❤
Lorna Shore is so good...but this is NOT what they do. 😄 They are EXCELLENT,so good, but they dont do this. Do go check them out! You will have goosebumps!!
If you like this one you need to do Will doing sleep tokens chokehold. I think it's even better than this one. Then you need to get into some of Lorna Shore
I prefer wills cover if hypnosis and chokehold. It’s don’t care for will version of dark signs or rain. He sang the wrong lyrics in rain 3 times and I can’t get down with that 😢 I do love his cover of slow dancing in the dark and his song riptide. Lorna Shore is death core metal dunno if you’re into that. He sounds like a demon lol

I honestly can't stand "covers".....and Sleep Token covers are not it for me at all 🤷🏻♂️🤣 you can't even remotely come close to his voice or styling....and usually a cover is a person's take on the original....but people should stay away from doing ST covers 🤣
I personally disagree I think his singing is better than sleep token I notice more emotion and personality in his singing and it sounds really clean imo

While I appreciate the love that Will shows for Sleep Token, I think all his covers are ass. Don’t get me wrong, he’s VERY good at what he does, but these are subpar IMO.
Those shoes are way too big, wayyyyy too big.! Compared to Vessel's rich sounding british pronunciation, Will's american pronunciation sounds totally wrong. It sucks how he's pronouncing the lyrics. Nice, but it's far away from being great.
Considering the Brits just basically make shit up when they're pronouncing things (and have *literally* like 40 different dialects for a place that's 40x smaller than the US) that have absolutely no bearing on the actual letters involved in the words they're saying, I find your comment highly amusing.
