You know Flimnstuff did a better job against Judge Doom! You can also trap him to the left counter to the screen and power up your punch to full strength and keep punching until he falls down. You don't necessarily need to use the weapons!

what I've learned about the cigar item in this game, it has two uses. one being a weapon against Judge Doom, the other is to get information from Baby Herman

This is a nostalgia blast for me. I played this a ton as a kid. I loved bombing around in Benny. Never did beat this game. Came close several times but could never figure out how to use the dip cannon properly after picking it up.

Yeah it was a ton of fun rolling around in Benny. That's rough getting far enough to knock Doom down then losing on the dip. I feel for that!

That wind up punch is quite satisfying. My friend had this game, and I remember fighting Judge Doom once or twice every time I went to his house for a while, but I could never beat him.

I adored this game as a kid. It was a serial rental for me, and took me weeks and weeks to even get to Doom. I can't remember if I actually beat him or not! I mostly remember discovering the secret House of Replenishment - one of the first game secrets I ever discovered on my own. But damn it can be hard - if my fists had been big enough to go through a wall back then, they would have hahaha.

@@VideoGames101 The first time I saw someone beating him the first round was after getting frustrated I let my little cousin try and somehow he backed Doom into a corner and kept tapping the button and he just kept power punching him through the wall and as Doom would rebound back. Eventually he knocked him down and I was shocked it actually worked!

This game is like an early version of Grand Theft Auto. It has car chases, a big city to explore. And you can attack any NPC on screen and just be a menace to society.

Great Video and great walkthrough, love fluf facts and also I remember you can corner the last boss and punch until knock him out in just matter of seconds.The ending of this game is perhaps the most dissapointing ending in the history of the NES games.

I like that Doom is as difficult as he is. He felt unstoppable in the films until he got dipped. Fitting that his in game version did too.

I got this game for Christmas back in 1992. I would agree about it being difficult. Especially if you don't know the right punchlines if you get caught by the weasel patrol. I do like how if the weasels chase you while in the cab the music speeds up incredibly fast.

Yeah you can figure out most of the punchlines most of the time, but the time restraint becomes an issue later on.

It took me forever to beat this game! One time there was some sort of glitch where all the other weapons like the glove, pie, crowbar and things like that actually did damage to Judge Doom like the cigar and bombs do. I was pretty stoked about that but I'm pretty sure he killed me that time and I never could get that to happen again...

@@VideoGames101 This game gave me so much anxiety and even nightmares haha. Beating it was definitely an accomplishment! I didn't know what to do when he was knocked down the first time and seeing him get up and slug the crap out of me was definitely a jump scare!

Some ways to die: Fall in a hole in the caves Get attacked by the snake in the caves Get hit by a flowerpot Get gotten by a red cat, dog or mouse Psycho hits you too many times Valiant gets ran over (Roger is fine a second later) Doom's Vulture grabs Roger Lose to Judge Doom Fail to make the Weasels laugh Get hit by Stupid outside Doom's warehouse Don't get to the dip sprayer in time Don't blast Doom fast enough at the very end.

This game is definitely a 7-8 in difficulty out of 10 but I'd agree this game is fun and way ahead of it's time for nes with the free roam and the vehicle that's practically unheard of in nes , even SNES and Sega didn't have many open world games that let you pick how you progress I know it's limited and not completely your choices but for what it is this game is dope!

did you not watch the movie there is a reason doom is immune to most damage also the gun is more of a plot point in the movie Eddie used a toon 6 shooter with a brass finish just like that

Yep that's a fair point. Admittedly I haven't watched the movie in quite some time, but the cigar and bomb still work. Not sure if that's consistent with the film or not; I doubt Rare followed it to that level of faithfulness.

Unlike Simon's Quest, at least the "townspeople" you can talk to actually give useful hints about the searches. As for Anticipation, could be a fun game for you and the gang to play! I love the music in this game. Definitely caught the Anticipation vibes as well. I played this before seeing the movie, oddly, so I always thought the main theme was really great (and learned long after that it's a good rendition of the theme from the movie itself). 39:12 I've never seen Benny land on a roof before! An Al Lowe version of Jessica? Hubba Hubba. As for the Doom fight, if you get the timing right, you can get a charged punch up, release the button and then tap it again quickly. If you get the timing down, you can hit him rapid fire with full strength punches (if memory serves it's close to twice a second).

Yeah they're the anti-Castlevania 2 people in this game. Arguably the most well informed NPCs in the history of video games if you can detect whether or not an old fish bone has been removed from the mouse hole in one of the apartments in the building that you're just passing by.

I don't remember being able to pick the token in that game; I thought they were tied to the player. I liked the teddy bear and ice cream cone, though. And that's an excellent idea regarding Let's Burn; surprised I didn't think of that as a good candidate!

I got this as a kid and figured everything out. I was a teenager before I beat this game. I've beat it once and that was enough for me. It's a boring, cheap, sadistic game. I think anyone involved with the making of this horrendous piece of s*$t should get child abuse charges brought up against them. I don't remember that part, in the movie, where Eddie had to hit Judge Doom 450 times to defeat him.

That's roughly the natural FPS of the NES; a lot of walkthroughs or playthroughs record at 30FPS out of necessity/limitations so I wanted to make it clear that this is the natural and smooth FPS of the NES.
