After intensive selection rounds, the jury selected this trio for the Young Captain Award 2023. In addition to their impressive business achievements, the three finalists have a strong vision on how to contribute to the challenges of today and have a perspective on a better world tomorrow. The jury annually awards the Young Captain Award to a talented business leader under 40 years old.
The three finalists for the Young Captain Award are Marc Josephus Jitta, Managing Director Alken-Maes Breweries (Heineken Belgium), Anneka Treon, Chief Economist International and Managing Director Advice and Professional Clients at Van Lanschot Kempen, and Sarieke van Wette, Director Liander Maintenance & Faults for Alliander.
Who among them became the winner?
On November 20th, the festive award ceremony for the Young Captain Award 2023 took place in the impressive Grand Foyer of Palace Het Loo in Apeldoorn. The palace, inhabited by the Dutch Royal Family until 1975, was the ultimate location for a festive evening for the leaders of the upcoming generation of decision-makers in the leading Dutch business community.
The evening's presentation was hosted by Lisbeth Imbo. The keynote speaker of the evening was Roy Jakobs, CEO of Royal Philips. The Award winner received the prize from Mrs. Karien van Gennip, the outgoing Minister of Social Affairs and Employment.
