I do press on nails as well and I have to say that refill bags are necessary! I started with Makartt because they were cheaper but I was wasting so much product (you should see how many extra thumb nails I have lol) and as you can see ended up spending so much more over time. Just found your channel tonight, great videos! I've heard such horror stories about ENC, I wouldn't even consider the brand. When I first started gel nails, Painted Desert and NCE (I so love Suzie!) wasn't yet available. Of all the brands you've shown here, I have tried the Apres and KS systems. I wasn't impressed with either because I wear shorter nails and neither were short enough for my liking. Enter my pick: Kokoist. A Japanese brand. They are pre-etched and don't require anything except alcohol to prep the natural nails as well as the inside of the tips. They do recommend their own gel base, but any gel base would work, I think. I do use their mega stick though. I wear the short almond and file down the tip to be a short coffin. They also sell individual refill sizes and since my index and ring finger duplicate sizes, I was able to double up. The majority of gel polish they sell is potted and a dream to work with.

I can’t thank you enough for doing this video. I would have thought the Daily Charme would come close to the Apres but was way off. I’ve been getting acrylic on my nails for over 10 years up until last April and made the switch to gel. What I discovered that works the best for me is I put a layer or two of builder gel on top of the tip and it makes it very stiff like acrylic. It works really well and is my goto. I’ve been looking into the Apres and judging from this, it really looks like a promising alternative.

Apres is a good alternative for sure, and even if you are REALLY rough on your hands a quick coat of builder in a bottle will make them stiffer and more acrylic like (though in my experience I’ve never needed it!).

I went through all manufacturer’s instructions/tutorials and none say you need anything more than gel polish, though some companies suggest you do if you want more strength. That’s another reason I love some of these brands, they’re strong right out the gate and don’t need any help!
Aprés nails wear really well. I am at day 12 after deep cleaning house, meal prep, yard work, car seats, bath time, and a kid accidentally slamming the door into my hand these nails are still here.

I emailed ENC on the XXL square bc I got them and they definitely weren't XXL in length and thought i got a mislabeled batch. The XXL comes in width 🤦 He could definitely help by adding sizing in his site.
I like Painted Desert more with each new shape I try. In my opinion, Painted Desert is KS 2.0! If you like KS, PD will be right up your alley 💜 Hope you enjoy!
Short tips that are actually … short? I’m excited to try these. People who make these need to understand that short is not just a length preference, some of us have short nail beds, so even short is usually way too long for me. Thanks for your work on this!
I swear by Apres but they didn’t have almond so I took a chance on the Painted Dessert extra short almond! I’m applying them later this week but I was SO close to buying igel and I’m glad I didn’t!
That’s the same reason I tried another brand the first time. The more I wear the Painted Desert the more I like them, I think you made the right choice! Plus the Pained Desert ones have a nicer shape in my opinion

I prefer the sturdier tips so they last through the gym abuse 😂 This video was amazing: the humor, the editing, the information. It’s the best tip video I’ve seen. I went ham on the enailcoture sale they had earlier this year and bought 4 boxes of different tips but they’re not my favorites at all. Then I went with Apres and I knew what a good tip was after that! I use the enail ones to practice nail art on now 💀Thanks again for this!

I’ve come across a couple iGel tip lovers out there, but from my experience once they try another higher tier brand they realize they really aren’t that good 😅 They were bending on me and I am so easy on my hands. I very much appreciate the time it took, it definitely solidified for me that my first choice despite the cost is the correct one. If possible, could you do a video on nail curvature please? I have been watching videos and looking at so many photos and I still can’t figure out how to judge if nails are flat or curved and I’d like to know if to purchase natural or sculpted nails. ENC could do much better especially with customer service. Didn't receive an item and they blamed the company that delivered. Their nails for me.. 2 weeks with ballerina nails, applied with the ENC DIY gel.. painted with a2 color gel coats and ENC shiny top goat. They are sturdy!
Hey, for the price they could be a good place to start! 😄 Or at least some tips to practice nail art lol. If you have any builder gel they could be fine if reinforced 🙂
I get 2 weeks of wear with my I gel tips. Not to mention best customer service I’ve ever dealt with. I prefer they are thin cause they flex to fit more of my clients nail bed shapes. I’ve had enc and to say I hate those is a huge understatement. And by far worst customer service. Not to mention an owner who slams anyone who disagrees with him. But my point is just cause someone apparently hates a company doesn’t mean you won’t like it. 😀

I have ordered from Enailcouture like 4 times. In my last order I didn't receive a product. I emailed them and they emailed me right back. They asked for a picture of my products and the package slip. I sent them the photos and they got back to me very quickly. They apologized and sent me a code for 15 percent off. They also said they shipped my missing product out. I love their products and Madam Glams products because I have allergies. I have personally never had a problem with the company.

SO far- your videos have stuck with me the most-. Scrub like you spilled koolaid on a carpet and your mom is havin a dinner party....you made me laugh .. But i hear you every time i put acetone in my tip-... I am one of the few people Who have an issue... My nails are almost concave....ive tried natural apres... una gella.. i make them °work° but bubbles always find a way... i ordered some orly builder gel... do you think id have better luck doing tips and building a nail..? . its taking me so damned long to do these extensions.... to the point of crying. lol ive tried almost every glue or builder gel... so anyway maybe nobody will see this. but finding anything about flat nails is almost impossible. youtube always shows me videos for Wide instead of flat no matter how i word it.
