Technically, depending on how much you wanna get into semantics, DBZ was Planetary from as early as the Saiyan Arc. Vegeta would have destroyed the planet, and that's why Goku didn't dodge his galic gun, and instead had to get into a beam clash. So yeah. DBZ is really fuckin' ridiculous when ya get down to it, even from it's earliest arc. It's kinda a miracle that Toriyama managed to keep things from reaching Tournament of Power level stakes sooner.😅😂
To be fair though they didn't have the power to destroy planet, they did it by attacking the core and causing the planet to explode even with freeza hence the whole escape the planet shit

Muhfuckas can use whatever reasoning or semantics they like, but if you can destroy a planet then *you can destroy a fucking planet.* One you reach that kind of nonsense, that's it. You're done. To hell with the reasoning, it's the destruction of a thing that at minimum is like several ten thousand times your size. There comes a point where the power scale tips so far reasoning ceases to matter, and "can destroy planets" is the marker. You can limit it however you want, the fact remains, success means space dust and several million casualties at minimum in most settings.

They were Planetary in the Saiyan Saga. Vegeta was bout to Galick Gun the Earth, and Goku pushed that mess back. And both still had energy to keep going, especially Vegeta.

6:28 Lets be honest, as much as we love memeing Yamcha as the weakest DBZ character, that dude is still a multi-planetary treat in almost any other animeverse. A single kamehameha wave form Yamcha aimed at a planet WILL make all life on that planet a memory and if that is where Yamcha stands on the power scale it is silly to compare other characters who could not even blow up their own world the DBZ characters.
