Who has the Highest Win Percentage in Supercross History? In this video we look at the Riders who are in the top ten in 450 Supercross wins and we divide that number by how many total 450 supercross main events they have raced. This paints us a very accurate picture on who is truly the best Supercross rider in History. This shows exactly how dominate they were or are currently. We also sow some stats from the 125/250 class and more. Riders include Eli Tomac, Ken Roczen, Cooper Webb, Jeremy Mcgrath, James Stewart, Ricky Carmichael, Ryan Villopoto, and many more. We thought it would be neat to take a look at this as we head into the 2024 Supercross season. Enjoy! Other topics on this channel include Jett Lawrence, Hunter Lawrence, Eli Tomac, Chase Sexton, Cooper Webb, Ken Roczen, Jason Anderson, Justin Barcia, 2024 Supercross, 2024 Anaheim supercross, the Deegans, Haiden Deegan, Brian Deegan, Dirtbike, Dirtbike shorts, Dirtbike highlights, motocross shorts, world supercross, mxgp, mxon, motocross, motocross highlights, supercross, supercross highlights. #supercross #supermotocross #motocross

Maybe an unpopular opinion but Villopoto was the most impressive rider after RC. Villopoto even retired in his prime and could've won another 2-3 titles easily if he wanted to continue racing. Dungey lived in RVs shadow until he retired then rode around a rookie field until Tomac, Roczen and Webb got their speed and consistency together. Dungey was very talented obviously however I believe his stats are inflated especially compared to RC, RV, JS, and CR who pretty much rode against a stacked field their entire careers. I was surprised Reed even made the list with how long he "raced" without being competitive. For the future it will be interesting to see if Sexton can iron out the mistakes or if Jett will really go on a streak like RV did.

Idk about that. Easily would be tough. And outdoors I give the edge to RD. That 2011 title should have been dungeys, but his team failed him. RV beat Dungey by 12 points, but Dungey had a mechanical with 2 laps left running way out in first at freestone and ended the moto 25th losing 25 points. And the motor issue at southwich where he started a minute down from everyone.

@@seaeff6428I definitely agree that RV wouldn’t have just won all them titles. RV was burned out, big time. I don’t think he would have kept that kinda intensity for another three or so. Flip side a definitely would have padded his record with a lot more wins and more then likely a title or two. That being said he tapped out, didn’t want to do all that it takes (which I don’t blame him). You’ve gonna be there and make the effort and Dungey did and was 💯 champion them seasons. I feel bad for Reed being sandwiched between Ricky and James. If he didn’t have them guys there’s every chance he mite have surpassed MC. Guy doesn’t get enough credit in my opinion. If you look back at it he was RC and James biggest rival, not each other. All their champion ship battles (talking in doors here) were with him. Cap it off with I’m lucky to have been able to watch the greatest sport on earth since the 80s.

@@jameszbierski391 Yeah RV in 3 more season probably could’ve got to 55ish wins and maybe another SX title. Especially if he was SX only with no outdoors.

Ryan Villopoto is the unrecognised GOAT. Too much noise around RC, JS and JM but I would put RV above them all !

It would be good to know the percentage of wins before age 25, Hannah did all his winning in the premier class by age 23, if not for that water ski accident, the GOAT stats wise would be very different!

McGraths return wasnt just for fun… He trained his ass off. You have to factor in all McGraths official AMA starts… therefore, James Stewart has the highest percentage of wins, with Ricky Carmichael in second & Ryan Villipoto in third? maybe? How many ama supercross races did McGrath compete in when he returned in 2005-2006?

This is stupid comparing both classes against each other With Travis getting in the top 10. He should be out and that gives KR tenth spot.

Imagine what Carmichael's combined 125/250 win % would be if he stayed in 125's a 3rd year to pad his stats the way Stewart did. He moved up in 99 after only 2 years of 125 supercross to try to take down McGrath. Ballsy moved for a 19 year old. I often wonder if Stewart would've moved up in 04 if RC didn't have the knee injury in the off-season leading up to it.
@Aretumis
@Aretumis 8 месяцев назад
Yeah then he moved back down to 125 outdoors cus he couldn't hang in 250s. And Carmichael himself said he wished he didn't move up in 99, and that it was a mistake.
@thegrossmansmx

McGrath raced against a bunch of scrubs from his time. I'm usually not one to say that as I know how eras are different. But McGrath had like 1 or 2 real competitors in his career at a given time. If you 100% put that dude on a factory 450 and pit him in today's field he would maybe break a top 10 once in awhile. And if you put villipoto, Dungey, reed carmichael, Stewart, tomac, webb, roczen, sexton, Jett, Anderson, ect all in the same race all in their prime with the same knowledge and the same track McGrath would be last. What made him so dominant is he came into a sport that was in a era of old ass technology and supercross was like a mid arenacross track. He was a BMX rider. And he capitalized on that skill mixed with supercross. In an Era where barely anyone else could figure it out. He 100% shaped supercross to what it is today but he is not the best rider ever in supercross. And he is FAR from the best to ever swing his leg over a bike. He was the scrub in motocross
@DonHewlett3
@DonHewlett3 8 месяцев назад
Scrubs? It took RC 3 years to figure out how to beat him. Stanton Bradshaw Larocco Emig Henry Windham Lusk I guess national champions and guys with double digit sx wins are scrubs though.
@thegrossmansmx
@thegrossmansmx 8 месяцев назад
@DonHewlett3 yes guys back then were doing it for fun. Even McGrath said himself he couldn't keep up with ricky. Once ricky got past his 250 struggles he was unstoppable. You should look into Ricky's full upbringing. He always took it seriously and whopped everyone's ass along the way. Until McGrath. And he hated it he rode over his abilities. Then he got tired of losing and being told he wasn't enough for the 250 2t. Then he busted his ass and isolated himself from the world hired a trainer and came back and lost the 1st round. And I'm pretty sure he came back next week and won and McGrath never won another race after that. Yes Jeremy was at the end of his career but so is Eli tomac. If tomac didn't tear his Achilles I believe he would still continue to win. Jeremy was good but the level of competition and actual skill is not even close to today. If you put mcgrath in this day sx/mx he would not be close to Winning. If you put any top 10 guy in 1990s mx/sx they'd lap the field. And I said he was a scrub in motocross. Not sx. He had 1 mx championship and only in the fight 1 other year.
