I still find it insane how Kushina not only survived after giving birth and having 100% of Kurama extracted from her, but she was also able to create a barrier of chains that blocked out the Third Hokage and restrained the entirety of Kurama. She is a beast. Not even Naruto survived a Tailed Beast extraction, and even then, he only had 50% of Kurama, plus he didn't give birth in a high-stress environment. I loved seeing her get developed in the Minato manga. It is funny how she is typically used as an example of a "badly written woman character" due to her getting the iconic Kishimoto Housewife Treatment, but that short manga automatically made her a great woman character.

The ramen guy has more chakra than Hashirama and Madara combined.

But didn’t Tsunade drain herself during the pain fight? She got old and was severely depleted to the point she went into a coma. Soooooooo Tsunade didn’t have years to refill her hundred healings seal. She had Months at best From the time she woke up from her coma to the moment she entered the war to fight Madara. Just an FYI.

Kushina was stated to be born with strong chakra. Even for her Uzumaki Clan.

I feel like Gaara is at least an honorable mention... Not only was he a jinchuriki, but he fought the whole 3rd war and was very active until the end without even complaining about running low in chakra.

I feel like a decent reason a lot of people got insane chakra buffs at the beginning/during the 4th great Shinobi world war is that everyone barring Madara and Obito were fighting for the fate of the entire world. If spiritual energy is half of the equation, I feel like your spiritual energy will spike insanely knowing if you don't win, the whole world is screwed. Pretty decent way to raise your spiritual energy. Kinda like when Jiraya pushed Naruto into that cavern to summon Gamabunta, it was life or death so even though they weren't any physically stronger their spirit kicked into overdrive. Just a guess though

I remember there being one quantifier of Sakura's chakra - in the Last, she spent 3 days straight refilling Naruto's chakra, which is a long time but the fact she was able to do that is still impressive

Tsunade was healing the whole village with her base reserves. She then used her seals chakra to shield every villager from the attack. The way the anbu addressed it I feel hints this. If her base reserves are enough to pump to a village puts her above Sakura alone.

While Kushina was sent to Konoha, it was also after Whirlpool was destroyed. She was the best option for Kurama to be sealed within since most of the Uzumaki were scattered.

The fact Sakura is on this list is Astounding. She doesn’t come from a ninja clan & her parents were civilians not Shinobi. Also, you could argue Might Guy could have the most chakra because of his physical strength.

I'd love to know more about prime Hiruzen and see how absurd his chakra was. We know that as an old man he was able to perform partial reaper death seals on Orochimaru and his presumably imperfect edo tensai Hashirama and Tobirama simultaneously using two clones, so at his peak would he have had enough chakra to actually seal all three of them? We obviously can't know the answer to that, but it's still incredibly interesting to think about.

Honest question since he is famous for spamming flying Raijin, teleporting tail beast bombs, using the reaper death seal and still have enough chakra while impaled to finish sealing Kurama into Naruto, and if you want to include his Jin cloak there is that to, but maybe I'm wrong and both Sakura and Tsunade have more chakra

First off, awesome video nick. peak Naruto content. now, with that said. I would like to object to a couple things on the list. First off, is sasuke not being on the list. I know it’s a quite a popular meme to say he doesn’t have any chakra, but we know he has at least enough chakra to open 3 dimensional portals, bringing people with HIM! And we know (im saying this from memory so correct me if I’m wrong), dimensional travel is the most chakra depletive jutsu we’ve seen. meaning just doing it 3 times should give him high uzumaki chakra reserves. Next is that hiruzen should be on the list. He has (IMO) one of the greatest chakra feats ever. That being he was able to (as an old man), seal hashirama and tobirama through SHADOW CLONES! And since reaper death requires you have as much chakra as the victim, (as I’m aware it’s most likely hashirama and tobirama were operating at 70-50% chakra when they fought hiruzen). This is an insane feat, especially since he sealed roughly 50% of orochimaru after. It’s no otsotsuki level feat, but the fact he did it as an old man should mean that a prime hiruzen should have at Least uzumaki level chakra. Last would be minato, I’ll make this one quick. we know after fighting Obito and spamming flying raijin, rasengan, and holding the nine tails seal. as well as teleporting a Biiju Dama. he still had as much chakra as half the nine tails. (and we all know how unfair hagoromo was when dividing the ten tails). I think this gives him a list worthy feat. Oh, and I forgot. but hinata deserves this list to. after inheriting Hamura’ chakra, she had enough chakra to refill Naruto’s reserves without! falling unconscious. something that took Sakura, with a full seal! 3 days to do, and left her exhausted. Anyways, awesome video nick. great as always.

In the minato manga we saw the 4 & 5 tails using chakra avatars, something we thought only exclusive to the 9 tails/naruto. Given this does it open the door for every bijuu having a chakra cloak mode? And if so could we see it in boruto possibly with himawari if she takes on the 2 tails?

When Hashirama said that Naruto almost had as much chakra as his he wasn't talking about Half of Kurama + Naruto, it was actually full Kurama + Naruto + Minato, the manga showed that they were all linked together when Minato and Naruto fist bumped, Naruto's half even told Minato's half that what they were doing for the alliance was only possible due to them being together and Tobirama later explains it.

Yeah I'm pretty sure I've brought this up before, but that's not how the Strength of a Hundred Seal works. You don't just put what you have left over into it, oh no no, that would be way to easy. The seal requires a constant amount of chakra poured into it and whatever you have left after that is your Chakra for the day. That's what makes it stupidly impossible to do. If you don't pour enough in, seal resets the counter. You pour too much or don't have the capacity to do it in the first place, you die. It's technically filler but the second chunin exam arc shows exactly why it's a problem for most people. Sakura straight up collapses because she overexerted herself trying to maintain the seal while also taking part in the chunin exams. Then in the literal next battle Ino was trying to figure out how the hell they were going to fight back when attacked by an enemy team that had a giant Akimichi puppet and a Haruno with barely enough chakra to stand up let alone fight. So yeah it's basically impossible for most people because it not only requires god level chakra control, but you also need to be able to maintain the constant input of chakra to the seal, while also not killing yourself in the process doing your normal ninja things. Also when you think about it, all of the shit Sakura did in Shippuden, she was basically doing on next to no chakra until she finished the seal in the war arc.

I love how Tsunade is written as a character, but in combat she makes no damn sense. She depleted a large chunk of chakra fighting Kabuto and Orochimaru in her first appearance. I get that she hadn’t fought in a while at that point, but that shouldn’t have had an effect in her overall chakra pool. The seal on her forehead even disappeared even though at that point she should have had years of chakra stored up, (even if she didn’t bother to store more after leaving the hidden leaf). She went into a coma after protecting everyone in the village from Pain’s almighty push, and again, despite the fact that she should have had years of chakra stored up at this point her seal disappeared. Before she even started the fight with madara in the war, she had to use her seal to regenerate her body being ripped apart from that teleportation jutsu, literally the most damage she’s taken up until this point in the story, yet the seal did no immediately disappear then. Not only that, she was able to use it for half a day while fighting madara, healing from blades bigger than her body piercing her, healing the other kage, giving chakra to the other kage and keeping them alive while she herself was cut in half. The point in the story when she should have had the least chakra stored up, she some how used up more? This woman is descended from the Senju AND the Uzumai. Not only that she has perfect chakra control. Shizune herself said that the hundred healings technique is the pinnacle of chakra control and that even though healing techniques take a good amount of chakra control to do at all, Shizune could never do it because her chakra control was not perfect. The only reason Sakura could do it is because her chakra control is perfect. This is also why I don’t buy Sakura being stronger than Tsunade by the end of Shippuden. They both had the same level of chakra control, but Tsunade hails from two clans with massive chakra pools, she has a technique that allows her to store chakra for YEARS to use later, and her chakra control is perfect. Perfect chakra contorl means that none of it goes to waste when she uses any of her techniques. Sakura only has two of these, Tsunade should literally NEVER be running out of chakra but it happens all the time. Naruto, who’s only an Uzumaki, had enough chakra to make thousands of clones as a child without Kurama’s help and fight all of those clones for an entire day before he ran out of chakra. He also does not have perfect chakra control, meaning he wastes more chakra making a shadow clone than Tsunade would if she used the same technique. People say it’s because Tsunade uses jutsu to keep herself looking young, but she would only need to use the transformation jutsu to do that. You know, the technique that they teach kids before they even officially become shinobi. That should take barely any chakra. It’s clear that the hundred healings has been retconned more than once, the chakra storage was never mentioned when it was first used, and remember when they said using it a lot would shorten your life. Yet Tsunade is still kicking at the start of Boruto and looks absolutely fine despite taking several fatal injuries and using the seal to heal them. While I’m ranting, why the hell did Tsunade not have any techniques to seal Edo Madara? She’s descended from a clan who not only excels at sealing techniques, but also created the seals that keep the tailed beasts inside the jinkuriki. To add insult to injury, in the light novels, Sakura develops a sealing technique that allows her to seal people that she punches, that should have been a Tsunade ability form the get go.

That Kushina feat proves one thing for sure. Kushina definitely has more chakra than Neji did.

Every additional shadow clone divides the total amount of the user chakra again. Naruto can make 100 shadow clones and give them all a giant tailed beast planetary rasenshuriken. Most people wouldn't have the chakra required to launch one base rasenshuriken, and Naruto can do a 5x better version with just 1% of his chakra in 1 out of 100 clones, for every single clone.

I do wish we can get a relative number on how much chakra someone has. We kind of just have to assume based off of how much someone goes. "I'm running low on chakra" or a jutsu they may be using which may or may not be using that much chakra in the first place like Flying Raijin.

I agree that Naruto should probably be at the top of this list, but a lot of what you were saying took into account Kurama's chakra. I was under the impression that we were talking about Naruto by himself without Kurama. Not after he loses a lot of it because of baryon but just him without Kurama. So this is a question I have how much Chakra would Naruto have if he didn't have Kurama and not have lost a bunch of it in baryon mode.

Hot take: naruto did start with nothing and worked for everything he had. I like to believe the burden of living with kurama is a greater hurdle and more mentally devastating than it is helpful. Only a pure heart like Naruto could befriend and gain the power of kurama.

I’m sick of people not understanding kakashi was always stated to be getting stronger. Each use of the sharingan made him better at it, same with mangekyo. And in part 1 he went back to training on the cliffs after being threatened by orochimaru and kabuto. You can literally see his growth each arc.

A fanfic brought up an interesting theory about how chakra developed from the mother to the child. the theory stated that a woman's excess chakra during pregnancy is guided to the child so it explains why ninja of ninja descent have more developed chakra systems and why ninjas of civilian descent have less chakra and more control and why ninja clans require training for children to control their chakra. a personal theory of mine is that the Uzumaki had some secret fuijutsu knowledge that wasn't passed down to kushina or she kept secret for her safety. it is also my belief that if naruto was character-focused more fuinjutsu instead of ninjutsu e would be more powerful as it brought the idea that a ninja art that is not pursued by most is easily accessible due to it difficulty and a probable theory as well is that minato wrote books on the subject in order to encourage other to explore the art. and it would be interesting as it could bring unique training to naruto's character like chakra seals for muscle density and sealing tattoos that can seal weapons or houses due to the proficiency at which it was created.

Minato sealed two halves of the nine tails, one half while impaled. With the new manga, did a Rasengan (incomplete) clash with a full nine tails bijuu bomb, yes, it was restrained but still is crazy that teenage Minato did this. I honestly believe that Minato's fuinjutsu is stronger than Hashirama's but his strength is probably 2/3 of Hashirama's in base. If Minato is in Sage Mode, he nearly surpasses Base Hashirama. Hashirama's Sage Mode however is like Doubled over Minato's strength even with his Sage Mode, but when Edo Minato gets the Kyubi, KCM Minato is probably 2/3 the strength of Sage Hashirama.

To spam a technique through Edo Tensei you must first be able to use the technique you want to spam at least once, and Edo Tensei might reduce your capacity depending on the version used on you and the skill level of the user.
