I feel like the Doctor’s is satisfying simply because of his laugh when you get a survivor with Treatment. He’s having fun, so it kind of rubs off on you sometimes
Well in case you forgot his ability used to be well not that. What his ability used to do is that he had two different modes one where he could hit the survivors and one where he could use the shock therapy bot you couldn’t have both active at the same time so you had to constantly switch between the two while chasing a survivor
I'm glad I'm not alone in that, I find here on of the most interesting to play because not only do you have options, but Survivors do too so each game is unique.
In my opinion the most satisfying killers to use are wesker, deathslinger, blight, and Knight is actually pretty satisfying to use when you send a guard to a generator further away and you get the down it feels pretty good
As a Trapper main, Trapper is definitely a high-risk-high-reward character when it comes to how satisfying his power is. If nobody steps in traps, it feels bad. If someone *does* step in a trap, it is *the most satisfying thing in the game.* Other satisfying power moments I absolutely love: getting the perfectly-timed Knight double tap, slamming one survivor into another as Wesker, stealthy gen grabs with the Sneeki Snek characters, crossmap bird snipes with Artist.
I think nemesis and pyramid are very fun because nemesis feels like an unstoppable force, because he can hit over pallets and windows (2 of the only things survivors can do to stop you) and the same with pyramid, but he feels a lot more calculated, and the payoff is HUGE when you basically guess where they will go and you land the hit with no view of the survivor as his punishment of the damned can go through walls)
I haven't played Wesker much but I do find him satisfying when you managed to get a Bound off just right. Artist, I am happy you do find very satisfying cause it does take practise for long shots, and even with loops it can be played around, so getting a hit is really nice. Main bias, maybe but there's few characters I enjoy more with their power than her (which does make me want to give Huntress a proper crack cause I feel I would get a similar level of enjoyment from it). Spirit is another I genuinely like, especially with the Furin add-on. And Skull Merchant I do enjoy when I build her as a kind of stealth character.
Wesker's a ton of fun, agreed. Can be frustrating when you miss and go flying, but when you get the grab it's great. Getting a hit with the Artist is definitely up there. It makes sense for you to feel that way if she's your main, I would expect anyone's main to be among the most satisfying to them, because obviously there's something about their gameplay that is a draw. I definitely think you'd enjoy Huntress! I need more time with Skull Merchant to truly make up my mind to be honest. What's your stealth build for her?
@theARoberts Been a hot minute but I ran Brown Noise Generator for Oblivious, and could go for either the aura read or speed boost as far as add-ons go. Perks, I went with Plaything, Tinkerer, Face the Darkness (Eruption, Brine or Lethal works fine as well. Really this slot is dealer's choice) and Jolt. Actively using drones while having one or two in strategic locations make it harder for survivors to know when you're coming if they choose to keep the drone live. If they disable it, then you get the speed boost and if you get Plaything live then they may have a hard time evading you
video suggestion: Rank main survivor perks. What I mean by this is the most game changing perk per survivor. Like Flashbang on Leon, blastmine on Jill, ect.
I appreciate the suggestion! I fear I play Survivor so little though that I wouldn't have much of worth to say. But I am trying to play more Survivor lately so perhaps I can put that on the list for later.
Just so you know, Onryo does slow slightly when manifesting, but not at all when demanifesting. I think her invisibility mind games w/ newspaper and watch are very satisfying too!
Really? Did they change that? I could have sworn that when she released she didn't slow down, or is it just so slight that it's not that noticeable? I'll have to try out those addons, I'm not familiar enough with hers to know which ones are good.
Sadly I've only been able to play against her 1 or 2 times 😢But I'm grateful to know you enjoy going against her so much, usually I hear from people who don't enjoy it so much. I find her a ton of fun to play because there's multiple options to choose from on both sides.
I play dbd for about 3 years, and still I'm the worst killer ever as I play as survivor most of the time :D But I main Trapper, and the most satisfying thing in this life is to see, how little poor Dwight get trapped in the same trap for 3 times Also your videos are sooooo cozy! I'm new one here, so thank you for your work! Your videos are really fun 🤗
I'm so glad to hear you agree, that makes me feel a bit better. The trails are what I feel worst at. But yes, the ranged attack is so incredibly satisfying. I've been practicing and getting a little better!
I will say it would be cool to see you incorporate some more of the special variations and outfits into the more killer based rankings obviously not this one. But I do find these videos really good and relaxing sometimes and while I don't agree with them all the time obviously since we all got different opinions and rankings and such, I do still enjoy them and can agree even if I disagree sometimes. Keep it up!
I find some of the sounds super stimmy and satisfying, especially Sadako's and Clown's, even though I don't like Clown ...sometimes I'll fire him up just to throw bottles from the saloon. A+ noise for me. (I know it shouldn't be all about the noises, but it's so hard for me to disentangle them!)
@@theARoberts I understand that completely.. OR.... Have a playlist series where you let us, the fans, make your build and you try to make it work 🤔🤔 just a thought.
There are two different kinds of killers that I really enjoy in general and both include sounds somehow. The first category of sounds include killers that have some kind of a sound notification when you trigger something with your ability. With that I am talking about killers like Skull Merchant (who I btw really like to play as and I do not play the three-gen strategy, but having that map control is simply satisfying), Knight (I agree that he lacks some skill though I already have faced some incredible Knight players with an interestingly good playstyle) or Artist (well as a regular Artist player I would not dare to say something else). The second sound category includes the general atmosphere. Of course the Dredge is one killer in this category and I think I don´t really have to explain why because you already mentioned it. But Wesker, Nemesis or Demogorgon too with their terror radius and chase music also spread a great and terrifying atmosphere (though speaking of terror radius, that is something the producer never fails with, exept the wash machine chase music of Ghostface haha). The Doctor also can be put into both categories as he is also one of my main killers. Coming to the killers that I surprisingly do not like that much to play as: I don´t want to break your heart but Plague is actually one of them. The last time I remember playing her was (no joking) on the Hawkins Lab Map. I mean don´t get me wrong, I kind of understand why people do enjoy playing her but I guess it is just not my play style (see it in a positive way it is always good having players with different interests, the variety of the game allows it). The second one there is also a surprise: Pinhead. I like his voice lines, his teleport ability but somewhat he does not feel really rewarding at all (could also be because I am a terrible Pinhead player). The third (and let´s say last one for now) is Pig: It´s not that I don´t like her ability but I do have that feeling that something is missing. I love the Saw movies and because of all that I feel like it could have been more than this random factor with the bear traps, but it still is an interesting idea (from survivor´s perspective). Great work btw with the video edit again, I really like how much effort you try to put into it. :) Just an Idea because I mentioned terror radius before, I'd be really interested in how you rank all the killers terror radiuses (not chase music because I know you already did a video about it). But which killer has the best terror radius in your opinion?
It's amazing how much the sound or atmospheric elements can lead us to enjoy certain characters more. The sound (including music) in this game is so incredibly well done. Don't worry, you're not breaking my heart with Plague 😂 I can totally understand why she's not for everyone. I have a couple of friends who are emetophobics too so they don't go anywhere near her! I'm with you on Pinhead. His atmosphere is great, but his actual abilities are meh. As a Saw fan, I could understand you feeling underwhelmed by her. I've not seen the movies so I just approach it from a DBD perspective myself. Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed the video and thank you for sharing your thoughts. I actually am planning a terror radius list, just haven't gotten to it yet. I'll probably do an updated chase music list a couple months from now too, once the old one is at least 9 months old.
I gotta respect you maining Twins! I will agree that hitting with Victor is pretty great, I just do it so little that I don't get to have that feeling often 😂
as a spirit main, i have to say one thing i find just SO satisfying is getting gen grabs out of a phase-walk. it's so fun. i don't play many killers, but i think the most satisfying to watch are ranged attackers (mostly deathslinger and artist for me, but of course you can't beat watching a good huntress land an absurd hatchet) and the oni (i love watching people get those onehit downs with a well placed demon strike). nurse too, but what is nurse if not a ranged attacker who uses herself as a projectile?
I can definitely see the gen grabs out of phase being immensely satisfying. Gen grabs in general are pretty great but getting one off of a Killer's ability just elevates it. I can agree that the ranged attackers are often more interesting to watch. Lol you're right that the Nurse is really a ranged attacker using herself as the projectile 😂Had never thought of it that way but it makes sense
I’d put Wraith in A tier it’s so fun to zoom around the map plus with the silent bell add-on to jump scare survivors or grab them off gens it’s also not complicated to use and I think survivors have fun when they hear the bing bong coming
The Silent Bell is pretty great, agreed! I didn't mention it in this video, but I think one of the reasons I find his ability less satisfying than I otherwise would (because I do find him fun to play and always enjoy it), I have a weird issue where I constantly misjudge the time it takes to decloak and am always messing that up.
This seems like a pretty solidI list. I can definitely say when I discovered I'm all ears on pyramid head, holy moly he was so much fun to play. I kept hearing that recommended and i saw a lot of them use it. I also love going against him so he's high on a lot of my tier lists. i felt satisfied knowing i got a head pop with piggie but i agree its not quite as satisfying. most of the time i don't think pigs will even see a head pop which makes sense. its a great passive power. but ghost face takes the cake for me. I'm not the best k1ller so exposing survivors is a lot of fun for me and being a super sneaky beaky boi. and if i feel like it on occasion its easy to play friendly k1ller with ghostface. (never in a sweaty match tho, no good deceiving survivors).
I agree, using I'm All Ears on Pyramid Head was a game changer for me too. Hitting Survivors through walls is so fun. I'm glad I'm not the only one who felt getting a head pop with Pig was somewhat satisfying but also a bit underwhelming. If you're decent with Ghost Face I can completely understand you enjoying being sneaky with him. His playstyle just comes less naturally for me, so I just need to put more dedicated time in with him.
@theARoberts yeah I realize GF isn't the best. Downside is he's so slow. Transversing the map feels like forever. Since I'm pretty good at stealth as survivor I just translated that to gf.
@@mvinson8706 Well done! I'll get better with him with practice. His playstyle just isn't one that comes naturally to me, while others did (i.e. Plague).
Pyramid head oni Wesker are satisfing (to me) Wesker with throwing people and slamming them into walls Oni with been able to get a intadown with his demon dash Pyramid head when you can do final judgement on a survivor (his second Mori) and been able to shoot people through the walls which is fun if dead hard doesn't ruin it of course I do understand with Myers he's a bit iffy just depends what add-ons are in use
I can definitely see (and agree) why you find those three satisfying. They're solid fun to use. Yeah, Myers is very add-on dependent. Using scratched mirror and tombestone are some of the most fun trials I've ever had, but standard Myers is less satisfying to me.
I honestly think BHVR captured lightning in a bottle with Pyramid Head. His power is extremely powerful, both on surface-level (you can hit through any loop, risk/bully-free hooks) and on a deeper level (being able to Punish the Survivors on literally any play they make, and being able to tunnel someone out of the game in 1 minute), the sound-effects ARE ON POINT, I don't think they can make any adjustments to make it better than what it is, fantastic soundtracks, great design for basic, Store skins, and Prestige skins, and the SH name is good enough to make people buy him and the game. Shame his add-ons are utterly worthless beyond Range and maybe Duration, but hopefully BHVR will make Executioners around the world eat FINE in a future patch.
As an avid Knight and Slinger main, I’d say Knight should be A and Slinger should be S. Being able to mind game a survivor while they’re being chased by a guard, then getting an insta down by chaining a guard hit into your M1 feels so good. Also, getting a down with a guard while you’re also getting a down on someone you’re chasing is super satisfying. As for Slinger, I come from Team Fortress 2 as a Sniper main, so hitting those long range shots as if I’m playing Sniper (even better if you’re running iridescent coin) feels really nice.
Personally I feel like Doctor used to be a lot more satisfying to use prior to the mini rework he got. Swapping between the two modes felt a lot more unique, it generally felt a lot more skillfull to use him compared to now where everything is just one button press away. Also Madness feels much less rewarding nowadays that Survivors can reset back to Madness 1. They simplified him a lot to be less confusing towards newer players, but at least to me this came at the expense of a lot of fun stuff you could do with the Killer. He used to have this special feeling you got when walking around the map in Treatment Mode, then switching into Punishment Mode when you found someone - that is just completely gone now.
I actually didn't know he got reworked. What did he used to be like? That is a shame that they simplified him, sometimes complex characters are more fun in the long run, even if they have a steeper learning curve. One of the reasons I gravitated towards Plague.
@@theARoberts Basically Doctor back in the day had two different modes, the "Punishment Mode", where he was a normal 4.6 m/s killer, and the "Treatment Mode", where he was unable to attack and moved at 4.4 m/s. You would swap between modes by pressing M2, uppon which it would play a little animation for him raising his left hand and making a fist to enter- and lowering it to leave Treatment Mode. Survivors would also see him walk more upright in Treatment mode, with his weapon lowered, and he would lean a forward and grip his weapon with both hands when in Punishment Mode. When in Punishment mode the Doctor was just a normal M1 Killer with no special abilities. Normal Terror Radius, normal attack range, normal movementspeed. When he was in Treatment Mode however, things changed quite a bit, as his normal attack was now replaced with his Shock Therapy and his Terror Radius emitted the so called Static Field, which would passively increase the Madness level of anyone withing it - the speed at which Madness was gained was based on your proximity to the Killer, the closer you were the faster you would get mad. Lockers still allowed you to completely dodge the electricity, similar to how they let you dodge the Static Blast nowadays and stopped you from screaming when in Tier 3 just like today. This Static Field was also visualised by having electricity run accross the floor and hit the Survivors feet when standing in it.. On topic of Madness, that also worked a little differently back then. A Shock Therapy would not fill 50% of your Madness bar instantly as it does today, but a little less than that, meaning the Doctor needed to shock you ~3 times per Madness level. You could also passively decrease your Madness bar by avoiding certain actions / scenarios, such as being in the Killers Terror Radius, running or performing any progress bar action. Should any of these requirements not be met, the bar would simply pause wherever it was, otherwise it would slowly go down. Tiering up your Madness made you scream just like it does now, however back then it was impossible to lower your Madness down to previous Tiers, except for performing the snapping out of it action when in Tier 3, which would lower your Madness to Tier 2 again. His Add Ons also worked quite differently back then. The most notable changes are: Order increased the amount of Madness Survivors passively gained while in your Static Field and caused Skill Checks to randomly appear on different locations on your screen - this would later be made basekit and replaced with the fake pallets we know today; Discipline would increase the amoung of Madness gained by a Shock Therapy hit instead of the reduced detonation delay we know today; the electrodes series had a downside of increased Shock Therapy charge time for the increased range they provided and the Iridescent King was his only available Ultra Rare Add On, the Iridescent Queen did not exist until the mini rework. Needless to say his gameplay with the two modes was a lot more unique than his current build, as he was the only Killer in the game where you needed to make tactical decisions on when you wanted to be in a lethal hunting mode and in a non-lethal tracking mode, that would force Survivors to leave your general area or otherwise risk revealing themselves and dealing with the Madness debuffs inflicted on them. Also swapping modes mid chase to gain access to the Shock Therapy was a thing and made using it significantly harder than it is today. Survivors also needed to micromanage their Madness levels a lot more to avoid Tiering up past Tier 1, but also to try and get out of Tier 0 as fast and safely as possible, as they were not given any information on how far they progressed through it and the progression of that Tier used to be a lot faster than the other two, meaning getting someone from Tier 0 to Tier 1 was a very strong tracking tool for the early game. He used to be a Killer who would progressively grow more powerful as the game continued, being at full strength once everyone had hit Tier 2 and was progressing towards Tier 3, as this is when his Add Ons started to become very noticeable and Survivors needed to avoid him during Treatment Mode or otherwise risk entering Madness Tier 3, which makes them entirely worthless for their team for extended periodes of time (especially since they would expose themselves to the Doctor, who would likely be going after them as a result). This aspect was almost entirely removed by letting Survivors snap back to Madness Tier 1, meaning the Doctor actually doesn't want you to enter Madness Tier 3 like he used to back in the day, as snapping out of it severely hinders his Add Ons now. Also certain Add Ons that used to be amazing on him due to their Madness effects, Order was one of my personal favourites, have become a lot less powerful as a result and instead Doctors will likely choose their Add Ons based on their passive buffs to him rather than based on how they debuff Survivors. Additionally the Static Blast has singnificantly reduced Doctors aspect of forcing Survivors away from him, as it has such a long cooldown and there is no penalty to staying close to him shortly after he used it, whereas the Static Field could be applied at any moment. Having this entire mode gameplay be replaced by a single button press that goes through your Terror Radius once to instantly Tier up everyones Madness by 1 and is on a 90 second cooldown just feels so much less creative to me. I'm not saying Doctor was in a better spot back then balance wise - actually I think he mostly stayed the exace same, except for some Add Ons being buffed, but I find that my enjoyment of the Killer has decreased since then. I really miss seeing Doctors swap between modes. There was a special feeling to seeing a Doctor roam the map in Treatment Mode and then watching his entire posture change when he found someone and entered Punishment Mode to go after them.
Great video and I see when you do tier lists I don't know your opinions on some of the maps in the game so I would like to hear your opinions on the maps currently further down the line sometime
Yeah, at least it was in my control this time, unlike when I released my chase music tier list and they surprise released Hag's new music a few days later
I don't play many killers these days. Satisfying: Trapper, Nurse, Huntress, Plague, Demo, Blight, Nemy, Dredge Okay: Wraith, Hillbilly, Hag, Doctor, Cannibal, Shape, Pig, Legion (my former main), Spirit, Oni, Onryo, Skull Merchant, Nightmare, Ghostface, Oni Don't like/Not Played enough to make a judgment: Clown (More because I hate facing a clown, and those bottle effects that he inflicts), Deathslinger, Pyramidhead, Twins, Trickster, Cenobite, Artist, Wesker, Knight Most of these complicated killers I just don't have time to learn, that's why I don't try them out. As for Blight, I played like 3 games with him, and I got 1 4k, because for some reason, the survs messed up, lol. That was satisfying. Same goes for Nurse, if I can hit the blinks it's great.
I totally understand not having the time to learn the complicated Killers. I don't get to play nearly as much as I should, which is why there's still a few I'm confused by. Thank you for sharing your picks!
Look at this point you already should know who I’m talking about here, I won’t even say their name. So they’re power is extremely fun because hitting those cross map snipes is just, pure satisfaction when you hit it twice in a row. Yeah they’re a bit clunky but it does go away with time. Sometimes you have to make a blind guess on activating your power at a loop cause you can’t see when the survivor crosses it’s path (unless you have a purple addon). Easily a S tier power, because of the guess work required by both sides. yours truly - Biased Artist Main.
😂When it goes well, hers is an incredibly satisfying power to use. I've already resolved to put in more time with her to get that clunkiness to go away, that's truly my only issue at this point. Everything else about her I love.
Hey 👋 I'm glad you enjoy that! It's not as satisfying to me, but we all gravitate towards different things and that's what makes these discussions fun.
Have you ever landed a crossmap or orbital hatchet? Then you would know that this IS the best Feeling you can have in dbd Put huntress in S where she belongs also the hitboxes are Like a Bean the hitbox survivors have at there Back they Miss upfront so its balanced
man, i think you should put the tier list in full screen and put your camera in the corner because you can barely see the tier list on a phone. also my favorite killers are: deathslinger and blught though im on a console.
I appreciate that feedback! I'll keep that in mind for future lists. I enjoy both Deathslinger and Blight. But I have to imagine they are tougher on console than PC?
@@theARoberts that's a fair placement he's super fun and it's so nice to have a power that can be used in chase and for surveillance that also doesn't feel cheap
Hadn't thought of that one, thanks for the idea. I'll put it on the list and give it some more thought. I'm assuming you mean their sound effects, not their music?
@@theARoberts thanks for being objective and putting skull merchant in b tier most people just straight hate on everything about her also I was first let’s goooo
