@@nayeongotthelines8108 but TWO seconds really is ridiculous. It’s not like she has a bad voice either. Instead of giving her lessons to improve, they just focused on her dancing. It pisses me off that she has two “main” positions, and she’s so underutilized and under-appreciated. She could have done so much more for SNSD.
@@Ban-nq2gy unfortunately a lot of Hyo's lines were overlapping lines with other members, she still seldom sang on her own... it's kind of like SM is hiding her vocal color on purpose because it doesn't sound cutesy enough for the songs
@@amyloves_snsd Yes and Ignoring Hyo annoys me so much. Snsd are more than a cute group. Hyo's voice suits better the beggining of the songs when it's still low and easy going to her. I hope the "less singing " it's a Hyo decision. I would have liked they gave her more attention to her at breakdowns and center time lile ITNW. C'mon she is a main dancer in a group where they don't give a care of that...
I always say positions exist for a reason and it's normal for the main vocalists to get more lines than the others, especially in big groups. But hearing Sooyoung say that she received compliments on her performance for the first time when she started acting because in SNSD she was never considered a good singer or dancer kinda hurts to be honest. Her, Yuri and Hyoyeon were done REALLY dirty at times, not gonna lie.
@Lifted Sailboat i honestly saw a drastic change after jessica left, obviously with one of the main vocals missing the rest of the girls had to fill in for her. i don't think sooyoung was ever disregarded as a vocalist as much as other members were, but still, being considered just "average" when she's obviously a very good singer just because she's not part of the main vocal trio leaves me kinda bitter, no matter how much i do recognize taetiseo being the best vocalists of the group. but this might just be my biased opinion.

To us SONES, it's an apparent fact that she's one of the best dancers in SNSD (most ppl rank her as either 3rd or 4th), and also one of the best vocalists in the dance line (alongside Yuri) and her live performances always amaze us. Loved her Sailing performance in Beaming Effect, her OST Wind Flower and her solo single Winter Breath. Her voice is so stable and she usually gets more lines than Yoona and Hyoyeon. I would say the truly underrated singer in SNSD is Hyoyeon, her "As Time Goes By" radio performance gets me everytime. If she were in another group, she'd shine so much more, but SM thinks her low pitched voice doesn't match SNSD's cute and sincere image so they try to cover up her voice in songs at all costs, not only by minimizing her lines but also overlapping her voice with other members. It's a shame, really.
@@amyloves_snsd obviously i wasn't talking about sones, we love all the members. i'm not making stuff up, i'm just quoting what SHE said. if she felt like acting was the first thing people praised her for it means people outside the group and the fandom didn't recognize her as a singer enough. that's all.
I’ve always resented the fact that in the dance line Yoona was given the spotlight because she was the “pretty one”. Never a big fan of her voice. I’ve read that Hyo was the least popular one at one point because she didn’t look Korean (their words). Meanwhile everybody’s crazy about Hyo in Europe, I remember when they had their first concerts in Paris it was insane how the crowd cheered for her when she did her parts.
@@magicmarvel According to various polls in Korea (and number of fancafe members), the least popular member in SNSD is actually Sooyoung. She's one of the most popular members internationally though. Hyoyeon, on the other hand, is viewed as the least prettiest member, so she doesn't get a lot of screentime. Wish she could have at least gotten more center positions as a main dancer :(

To be fair, line distributions as a concept don't really tell the full truth. For instance, in ITNW, all the dance line sang 1 line, hyo just happened to sing like .2 seconds quicker than the other dance line members.

I have said it many times, SNSD songs don’t have that many dance breaks...Raps are far and few in between too...we need to stop pretending that SM gives Hyo that much shine in major promotions, as a dancer or rapper...btw, she has only started to pick up more lines since the Lion Heart album, but many promotions, including JP songs, she gets lost in the back
Most line distributors made a mistake in the 2nd verse in the lines shared between Yoona,Yuri and Hyoyeon.. The actual line goes like: Hyoyeon Yuri Yoona/Hyoyeon Yuri/Yoona(Hyoyeon adlibs)

Gavlyyy Jenxx idk honestly for me, she is a great vocalist. I feel like the reason why she sometimes gets the most lines is cuz of her tone colour. Something about her voice adds so much colour to SNSD songs in my opinion, which I honestly don’t get in their songs after she left. (No hate towards ot8 I still love snsd) but that’s just me...

Let's be honest, they did Hyoyeon dirty in not just lines. She had a lot of questionable styling for a while too, especially hair. From Bad Girl onwards, they started styling her decently at least.

Wayu Widhi in Time Machine the "ima Time Machine" and the "monani mou" parts are sang by two members, Sooyoung sang the first monani mou with Sunny and she sang the second ima Time Machine with Sunny
Hyoyeon mostly has the least but her voice has its own power that makes me always feel excited whenever it's her part. My ears are obsessed with her voice.
So glad hyoyeon is now a soloist and is still in the industry her voice is very unique and i understand she has the least lines but some of these are just horrible like 2 seconds???

@cherry.queen You should listen to her album, if you can. Her songs that she wrote herself sound better. I don't like Hyoyeon and Yoona's voices. Yuri sounds best sexy, but that doesn't happen often.

As far as I know, Hyo has the lowest amount in CMIYC both OT8 and OT8 version. If wrong, then in OT9, it should still be Seohyun since Hyoyeon didn't an additional line after Sic's departure.
Well, SM really loved her... When she left SNSD, Jessica still under SM. SM know Jessica is too precious for let her go. But around mid 2015, she officially left SM. So, thats SM lost.

Isn't it ironic that if that was the case then, technically, the members have more power than the agency itself? If the agency were "reluctant" to kick her out, then does that mean that the members control who they'll kick out? I'm sorry but it sounds impossible to me that SM, one of the top 3 big kpop agencies, who was "reluctant" to kick a member out but still did because of the members. Plus, it was a big controversy that the agency could avoid if they didn't listen to the members. It was a risk to their reputation, a big risk that makes me doubt that the members are the people who kicked her out. I bet SM is not reluctant to kick her out based on the controversies and issues that they risked. And about her statement, can we really verify if that was the truth? There's always the other side of the story and I guess gg members can't speak out because SM doesn't want them to. I'm new so please enlighten me but based on what I've read and heard, we really cannot know what is the truth is. Each story has 3 sides: the side of Jessica, the side of gg members, and the truth. So let's not be biased and bash other members without knowing the full truth.
Cess Zen Zan ikr, it was shocking to know other members kicked her out, but I still believe that it was Taeyeon because she didn’t really have a good relationship with Jessica. And also, I think that the members really kicked her out because Tiffany, Sooyoung and Seohyun which aren’t under SM entertainment anymore, they still don’t communicate with Jessica. Hopefully they’re going to release the tea since they aren’t that popular anymore.

i hate how some are blaming Yoona's visuals, saying that although she has least lines, she gets a lot of screen time. she is the center for a reason so i don’t get how that is her fault. both her and Hyoyeon are done dirty by SM whereas they have amazing voices!
Well imo it depends if the singer raps/sings fast or not... in case of tae vs. yul @lil touch, tae got 1 sec longer than Yul, but Yul sang for most part at both verses with many lines :-) sone
People think that their line distribution is unfair for the other members.. They did that simply because kpop is about music and music is about singing so obviously the vocal lines got more lines than the dancing line. If people wants the dancing line to have more lines then they must sing like the vocal lines level.
