Who Invented The Humbucker?, Early Electric Guitar Iceberg, Gibson, National, Rickenbacker, Gretsch 

In 1959 both Ray Butts (Gretsch) and Seth Lover (Gibson) received patents for extremely similar pickup designs, the "Filter-Tron" and the "PAF" (patent applied for) respectively.
But who really designed the humbucker? Who was first to pioneer this Hum-cancelling technology? In this video, I will take a rambling, convoluted and thoroughly incomplete look at early electric guitars, and the development of pickup design.
