He is main dancer in SHINee, one of the best dancer in Kpop history and he can sing like THIS. So talented.

There's no cover songs, all are his songs in the album. He's fluent in Japanese as well, he appeared as lead actor in a Japanese TV Series action thriller drama called Final Life.

I highly recommend "Want". It's an older song but the MV is to die for. Taemin is very artistic and his music videos are masterpieces. They're theatrical and over the top and just fabulous. But please see "Want". He is the master of seductive music with his voice and artistry.

I think they focused more on the ballads on this performance to showcase his vocals but it’s actually not representative of a lot of his catalogue. He’s more known for his sensual, avant garde, danceable songs. He was originally known mainly as a dancer and was told he couldn’t sing. Through an amazing amount of hard work, he’s where he is now. He’s known as one of, if not the best dancers in all of Kpop and a true PERFORMER. I highly recommend you check out the MVs for Criminal, Idea, Advice, and Guilty (which had dethroned all of his others as my favorite song. And the MV is cinematic and packed with meaning.) They really showcase his amazing dancing and magnetism. Advice is probably the best for showing an upbeat, dance heavy performance.

Taemin speaks fluent Korean, Japanese, and emerging English. He was sick during this broadcast so he was not fully immersive. Also, he sang mostly ballads as this is the space he's in following 2.5 years in the military.

Taemin is a spectacular artist! The crazy thing is he’s actually one of if not the best dancer in Kpop industry. Literally half of the younger gen idols grew up idolizing him and taking huge inspiration from what he does and yet he as a main dancer can sing like THIS! It’s truly mind blowing! Taemin loves ballads and having such an angelic very emotive voice he has a lot of beautiful ballads in his repertoire. But of course he’s most known for his amazing title tracks with great beats and spectacular choreographies. He’s fluent in Japanese and has a huge fan base in Japan - he sells out tours consisting of 20 or 30 concerts. He’s a huge star - in Korea and globally. Since he debuted very young (at 14) he was always adored and pampered by Korean public and in spite of growing up in the public eye he managed to remain the most humble, kind and adorable person. I absolutely love his solo discography. Can you believe at this point he has more than a hundred songs in his repertoire? You definitely need to dive into his music, his artistry will blow your mind!

Some of my favorite songs of his are in Japanese. When it says his first album, it's meaning his first solo album. He debuted with his group, SHINee, in 2008 at the age of 14. He's a veteran of 16 years now, yet he's still so young. He's fabulously talented, and other idols credit him as their idol/inspiration/hero.

Our Taeminie is actually known as the King of dark concepts, the boundary smasher, and with each comeback, when we think he has already reached the limit of his abilities, he goes and destroys us again with another mind-blowing concept never seen before in Kpop. I honestly don't know how much farther he can go...but I love that he keeps doing it. Seriously though, Taemin does love his ballads and often wishes more people would listen to his B-sides more, which are absolutely beautiful. I think this is why he chose the songs he did, to make people aware that, yes, he sings ballads too. However, let's get into a little history of Taemin so you can get to know him better and thereby understand his music more because for Taemin, he embodies the music and lyrics. Taemin debuted with SHINee at the tender age of 14 (Intl. age) as their main dancer. He was chosen by SM through the historically difficult SM open Saturday auditions. Only 8 other idols have ever passed this audition attended by thousands each time. Taemin didn't expect to pass because he didn't know how to sing. He was a self-taught dancer who began at the age of 10 by watching his favorite artists, like MJ, Usher, and Rain, and then practicing their moves in his mirror. So why did he attend the audition, because his mother told him he could get out of extra study classes after school if he passed. Taemin couldn't sing at debut due to immature vocal cords. When it did come time to sing, he didn't have a clue. Thankfully, Taemin had two things in his favor that helped him develop into the phenomenal vocalist he is today: 1) his SHINee brothers, Jonghyun and Onew are two of the most powerful singers in Kpop. They stepped up and tutored Taemin until SM finally allowed him to access vocal coaches. 2) His almost obsessive drive to succeed and being a well-known workaholic. He said he would practice singing long after curfew, all night long. When his throat refused to sing any more, he would stop and switch to dancing and back again. He did this so much that he would get nosebleeds during the day and fell asleep once during regular practice with SHINee. When Taemin finally started working with vocal coaches, one told him that he would never be a singer and to just stick with dancing. I'm sure this lit a fire under him. By 2010, he worked hard enough to start getting more lines in SHINee songs. In 2014, rather than Jonghyun or Onew, Taemin became the first-ever SM idol from an active boy group to debut as a soloist and also debut three times in multiple generations: 2nd gen (SHINee); 3rd gen (Soloist); 4th gen (SuperM). Now he is one of the most legendary soloists in the industry. Makes me wonder what that vocal coach who told him to stick with dancing thinks now. Lastly, don't be fooled by the lyrics in Taemin's songs. Sure, you can take them at face value, but Taemin/SHINee fans ("Jjakkoongs" = partners & SHAWOLs = SHINee World) know that Taemin can have anywhere from two to three deeper levels of meaning to those lyrics. It's part of his mystique. You must dig through all the symbolism of the MVs (because everything means something), know his history, and be familiar with his Christian worldview (he's a devout Catholic) to get to the heart of many of those lyrics. Adding to all that, Taemin is very into philosophy which also plays a major part in his stories. For instance, some of his concepts in the last few years include: Stockholm syndrome ("Criminal"); Plato's Theory of Forms ("IDEA"); and delving into French philosopher, Georges Bataille's book, "L'erostisme" in which he argues that eroticism is "a psychological quest not alien to death." Thankfully my youngest is getting a minor in Philosophy at college, so she helps me out sometimes...lol. In addition, the SHINee brothers, who are all soloists, will often link their solo work together, as well as their SHINee MVs. For instance, SHINee's 15th anniversary album, "Hard" (2023) links their title song of the same name to primarily Taemin's 2021 title song "Advice" and also Onew's "Circle", as well as some of Key's work, especially with a scene actually taken from Key's song "Hate That". To make matters even more complicated, their collective work may also be connected to SM's Universe storyline, "Kwangya". There's A LOT to unpack with each MV. So there you go, and while this is a long intro., it's really just a brief peek because there is a lot of personal history with Taemin and his other struggles that influence his music as well, like reconciling his faith with his celebrity status which creates a duality of egos (HINT: "Press Your Number", "Want", "Famous", "Criminal", "IDEA", perhaps "Guilty"). However, all THAT is what makes Taemin and SHINee so special and unique. We get to really know who they are as regular people through their music and their strong familial bond. Even though we lost our dear Jonghyun in 2017, there is no breaking that bond between all five of them. As Onew said in their 2018 concert where fans and SHINee simultaneously honored Jonghyun and grieved together, SHINee will forever be 5 = 5HINee!

Hey! Taemin is a crazy artist, his vocals are so unique and nice. His dance skills are highly praised as he's a top figure in SK and the idol of idols as he's one of the most influential idols in kpop. He is the youngest in the group Shinee which debuted back in 2008 I believe he was only 14 when Shinee debuted. Shinee is also a legend in kpop but his solo work is also very amazing. Move is also one of the hardest kpop choreography to do since it takes alot to do it right and make it look good.

Congratulations! You just came across the Dance King of Kpop! the Idol of Idols. He is unreal! His live performances (solo or with his group Shinee) are out of this world amazing. In fact, all Shinee members are amazing!

I'm crying both Korean or Japanese are his songs, it's a ost for his drama 😊 For Hypnosis, it's not an ost but he has some more like "My day" (Navillera OST) Taemin is really well-know in the kpop industry, he is recognized as one of the best dancers if not the best and also for his artistry by many critics, he is also the idol of many idols (take a random group, you will find a member or several who have chosen this career because of him or SHINee). Unfortunately, we don't hear enough about him in the Western market because his agency doesn't put much effort into it (in my opinion). He and SHINee deserve more recognition for their talent. I really recommend to see for yourself if our reviews are true or not, you will not regret it. SHINee never disappoint.

#TAEMIN along with his group SHINee is one of the TOP OG A-list royalty of Kpop with many of his senior artists that debuted before him who also have killing voices. *He’s the youngest member of SHINee who debuted in 2008 and made his solo debut in 2014 on the side as well as made his 3rd debut with SUPERM with different SM ACES from other groups under the same label.* As you may have noticed, TAEMIN is a big fan of Michael Jackson for his unique dancing style and voice tone (even though he doesn’t dance here) but heavily influenced by MJ style with infusion of his own style.

Initially he wasn't given any solo line in their debut song Replay since his voice wasn't very stable yet at that time (there were even some who said he's deaf mute). His position was really dancing. He really worked hard to improve on his singing, and was helped a lot by his SHINee members especially Jonghyun. Debutef solo in 2014 and he has a lot of Japanese songs too. Yes he speaks Japanese (as well as all SHINee members). They have songs both in Japanese too and sold out concerts there. Looking forward to more Taemin (and hopefully SHINee too) in your channel.
