I tried a bit of a different style with this video, and I love how it turned out. It was also a lot of fun for me to make, since if you couldn't tell, I got fairly silly and didn't take it too seriously. I'd love to know your thoughts!

You have to make an update. Besides Misty and Serena, Lillie became also very close to Ash. Even if there was a romantic overtone in Sun and Moon end, she gave him a very emotional farewell. And, as Journeys showed us, Lillie and her family will have an arc about them searching for Lillie's father. Although Serena is the only one that has shown obvious romantic feelings towards Ash (well she KISSED him)

Wow, this brings back so many memories of Ash and Serena in XY. I remember an episode where Serena and another girl that Ash meets at a cupcake making contest essentially compete over who can ask Ash out first. If that isn't an obvious sign I don't know what is.

I remember watching the x&y anime because it was my first and (at that point) only Pokémon game, and then watched some other series and i quit out of annoyance because I was mad that every cool female character was in love with ash, I really liked Serena as a character in some of the episodes and I treasure her as my favorite protagonist so it really got under my skin. (also I for some reason liked kalos shipping at one point) it was mostly my anger at every girl character being a love interest, also I was confused and sad that calem (as far as I know) and maybe shauna weren’t main characters as well as Serena so I kinda gave up on the anime

I know many of you think amour shipping is best but I am here to prove that pokeshipping is the true canon. First of all kasumi( misty) was a character created by Satoshi tahijri which is already great because he was the creator of Pokemon and the main protagonist whereas Serena was created by the Pokemon company. I know there are a lot of amourshippering and less pokeshipping moments in the Japanese dub and a lot of pokeshipping moments and less amourshipping moments in the eng sub but in the Pokemon movie 2000 there was a pokeshipping trailer released in which misty was seen with a pink haired girl and with a Pikachu ( obviously it is Ash's Pikachu) and the important point is that in the trailer misty didn't have a togepi thus , the writers already planned till the hoenn region where misty's togepi evoles into togetic . Mike said misty faded away because she didn't return but in the hoenn she appeared a couple of times , in sinnoh ash is shown using misty's lure and tells about her to dawn when dawn asked if she could use the lure ash immediately rejected, in unnova when Charizard returned ash was telling his flashback when he caught charmander in which Brock and misty were shown , and when ash was about to begin his kalos journey he remembered all of his companions in which misty appeared first and of course in alola Brock and misty were back and misty battled ash with a fricken mega gyarados. Another reason is Ash's Pikachu likes misty more than any pokegirl, it jumps to misty's shoulder with happiness ( you can't change my mind).Pikachu even has a name foe misty in its Language ( Pikachu pi). And lastly the key to pokeshipping is a gem called JEALOUSY. Ash gets jealous when he sees misty caring for another guy and misty the same to ash. I honestly didn't notice Ash's jealousy with any other pokegirl even with Serena . The reason I am saying this because jealousy is the key to a relationship. My first pokemon series was XY. I was an hardcore amour at first but when I saw the original series and I immediately changed pokeshipping because I thought misty's attitude matches Ash's attitude and I literally cried when the OG trio were were going to separated but I didn't cry for may, dawn , iris , and Serena. I know many people prefer dawn and Serena because they were pretty dresses and have cute pokemons . But I think eventhough thecreators didn't give much attention to misty and may I think they are the best even without pretty dresses.and in case if you haven't read The electric tale of Pikachu ash cleary had feelings for misty . I recommend to read it . Do you know why ash always looks into the sunset because the orange sunset reminds him of misty's hair and the bluish green sea reminds him of her eyes. Well I generally agree. Also there's one specific thing about Ash and Serena showing he - at some point through the series - start to somewhat reciprocate her feelings... I mean I'm, actually just at the first season of XY (but still I watched so many pokemon videos that I already know about amour shipping and I was pretty much convinced... and I was eagerly wait for that... also the way they introduce it, how they show she knows Ash already and he is important to her was IMO so well executed... I couldn't wait when they finally meet in every of these first episodes) and Serena didn't even become a coordinator yet, but I heard about situation when she had a contest and Ash has a gym battle to take. The contest was in city in completely different direction, but Ash was like "hey, let's go to Your contest first, my gym battle can wait"(and we are talking about ASH, so if he was willing to put her contest before his gym battles it really means a lot), and in Advance series we have similar situation except May's contest was in city that was on the way to that one with gym... but then Ash was like "no, we're not going to the contest, I must have my gym battle first!". But even despite that I think May and Ash COULD work together, May was my favorite female traveling companion of Ash (at least till Serena) and the dynamic they have was indicating that they may (:D) end up together. I mean if May and Drew wasn't clearly a thing and I think is the second most canon ship in the series (after amour shipping of course). And it strange You didn't mention May's mother clearly noticed that :D But even taking Drew into account I still think... advance shipping is more likely than pokeshipping. I mean sure there was quite a lot hinting towards Ash and Misty, and Misty also was my first pokegirl I get to know (well the only one for a long time as way back in the past I watched the series just to about Johto Journeys... and during them lost my interest for a long time, which I regain just a less than few years ago and started rewatching the entire series (well except 3 first season it was watching it for the first time) this time with my younger brother). But the more I looked at that from a distance, seeing the other pokegirls I realize that Ash and Misty didn't actually have a scene that depicted her love for Ash. I mean she was jealous over him, she grew very attached to him... but yet she so often gets annoyed with him, was arguing ir beating him... some may think it is a "clear" indication of relationship and I would say that even if, then not a healthy one. She was least friendly to Ash of all of his female companions(ok, except Iris... at least maybe), and she could even be kinda annoying. (I mean I know her reaction when they departed and go into different direction but... her attitude towards Ash was not so much in line with that, but who knows, after that she perhaps could get better... but as the things are still not likely pick IMO) The pairing with Gary... well that's so stupid and lacking any actual evidence that it really doesn't need any commentary (though I still seen even more ridiculous idea like Ash and Paul... and they don't even become friends, Paul just started to somewhat respect Ash, and stops disdain him around Sinnoh league end) Now the last very unlikely - Iris... well this is a strange case. I mean she did have this dreamy look at him once, in his first gym battle, kinda implying writers kinda want to make some romantic indication, she did sometimes quite a lot to cheer Ash up - especially in poison-type gym. But yes she was annoying... I mean this became bearable after a few dozens of episodes, and in the end, she wasn't that bad. We - I and my younger brother - used to make fun out of her quite a lot, and this way from annoying she become kinda amusing. Also... she kinda seems to be a parody of some fans. I mean with this how she still mocks Ash of how much a kid he is (despite quite often being more childish than him, and definitely being younger - about 2 years younger) and don't want to believe Charizard is not a dragon type (really that scene was so hilarious, and to be honest she spoke what all of us thought all this time... ) and thinking Gyarados is one. But with her being... such a kid, and short-tempered at that, without any strong positive connection with Ash.., she is completely unlikely candidate. And she has so bad influence on Dawn. Becasue if You didn't watched much of Diamond and Pearl then You may remember more the Dawn from time when she returned. And it was actually somewhat meaningful here. I mean the way she interact with Ash at the beginning (though if someone would tell me it was zorua in this scene I would believe him at first :D) kinda show they were close, but the way she was later acting towards Ash - joining Iris with mocking him of being "such a kid" - was NOTHING like their interaction in Diamond and Pearl. (Also worth noting: when May returned it was completely different - it was visible May has developed during this time, she get great new eeveelution, and was still very friendly and supporting for Ash and Dawn, which really need her help... though despite Dawn winn the Wallace's contest I actually thing May do better in it... and generally May was better coordinator than Dawn... still It was so strange that Dawn failed many times in the contest, sometimes don't even get into the fight round... despite her performance was MUCH better than many of coordinators who reach that round... I get it made the pretty cool arc of her overcoming her doubts etc, but... the ground for it was very poorly made (and critique of her performance was just complete gibberish, and what make it even more absurd some of other performers - mainly "Jessielina" - made the same or even worse mistake and WEREN'T criticize for that at all! But well maybe it was supposed to show how unfair jury in the contest may be? I don't know, still, I don't buy it)) But back to the topic Dawn and Ash have a very good, friendly relationship, they really support and motivate each other (and while this is quite possible and good also among friends it's also the type of dynamics You would expect from a couple), she was cheerleading for Ash with her pokemon quite often, he helped her to get and regain confidence in herself, and her contest actually help developed Ash some new strategies. There was certainly a connection here, which may develop into more romantic relationship. At the same time her potential relationship with Kenny was not so strongly implied like in the case of May and Drew. She could quite likely still choose Ash over him (well at least before her reappearance in Unova it looked so...), maybe even Convey (or whatever this creepy nerd's name was written) would manage to somehow warm her up to him... Still despite the connection being stronger here, I would rather see Ash with May than Dawn (well if we take Drew out of the equation). Dawn was... in many ways worse version of May to me. But what's funny is she has some similar characteristics like Serena, I mean they both care about their look a lot... and strangely enough when it was annoying in case of Dawn it... wasn't for Serena... I don't know why, maybe I just get more used to this or something. Anyway, my ranking of Pokegirl for Ash would be(the ones after Serena based mainly on arguments from Lumiose Trainer Zac... ok Serana partially too; and the other Girls than his companions I would rather list by shipping names, as... I'm not sure if I would get the names correctly... and I would only include these which are better than Iris and are not "taken"): 1. Serena 2. Dawn 3. May (if not for Drew she would get 2nd place) 4. Lilie (well actually I think that she has the best chance to go higher on that list, but for now as I don't know her and her relationship with Ash so well I put her below Dawn and May...) 5. Lana 6. Ability Shipping 7. Morpheus Shipping 8. Mellow 9. Misty (yes, I put her below all Aloha girls (and some minor ships) just because I don't think she and ash would actually make a healthy relationship) 10. Fire Shipping 11. Imagination Shipping (though Bianca would actually be more fitting to this dude, who was a fan of Paul, but I forgot his name...) 12. Iris

I mean, it was obvious that Serena and ash would be together but I have a little more to add to that, I was watching a video where I heard that Serena actually went to Lola and caught a shiny so Landon because she was following Ash because she loved him obviously but just never showed in the series. Also in the new series Pokémon journeys, I’m picking up the ash and go have a little relationship not together but they’ve got feelings for each other I think because they’re always blushing in there is there for each other and I know that’s what friends do but blushing really but we all know that Ash and Serena is gonna be together, I just thought I’d say! Hope this helps dig deeper into the ships!!!

I would appreciate if at the end of the series, they either do a 1-2 episode "Flash Forward" which is basically ash, and his partner, and their family together, or if they ever need to reboot the pokemon series, they can go off this storyline of Ash and his child(ren) and their journey throughout the regions previously explored/ a new,unexplored region,with the children of the old main characters from random seasons past showing up as their companions throughout the seasons(s)
