I think he's hiding his ID because actually wants to stay in the max security prison. Since he's a serial fraudster, its possible he was involved in some serious money laundering schemes and might have dangerous people after him. In a way, a max security is one of the safest places you could be, also he might not want his family to get involved in his issues and thus wants to remove any connection to others.
@tjbar1275
@tjbar1275 3 года назад
Being in a place where thousands of gang/criminal affiliated people who literally kill and steal for a living isn't safer. It is far, far more dangerous. It would literally take a small amount of meth and you have a hitman for not even $10,000 with no ties to you whatsoever. If that is true, and that is his plan, he's a god damn idiot
@MrHalo80
@MrHalo80 3 года назад
TJBar since he’s in a maximum security prison I doubt any one can get to him , inmates are most likely confined to their own cells and are locked down prob most of the day so he’s def safer there in my opinion, it’s been 6 years he’s been in there if somebody wanted him dead they would’ve done it by now

@@MrHalo80 which is exactly why he’s not a serial fraudster. How do you think people smuggle drugs and contraband into the most intensely secured prisons in the world? There are always connections to the outside. ALWAYS. Hell, just threaten one of the guards with their family or parents and you all of a sudden have a way in. Again, prison is not the place to be if you’re being hunted down.

@chikntendie
@chikntendie 2 года назад
I think this guy 100% got caught in over his head by some crime syndicate and decided that being a prisoner is better than dying. It's genuinely the most logical explanation to what happened here. Considering that his fingerprints come back to THREE different identities that have been all across the world, one of which is still also unidentified in terms of origin this guy was really good at what he did and decided it was time to get out of the game for whatever reason. This man covered the crap out of his tracks to make sure he can't ACTUALLY be found.

It’s plausible that he’s just a criminal who found a good hiding place, but the fact that they suddenly made his hearings private is really suspect to me. It makes me think he’s an intelligence asset. It’s common for agencies to embed operatives in fraud and gang activities because revenues from those things often fund terrorism and other crimes. We’ll probably never know tho.

Hearing that an IRB adjudicator tried to just order him released is interesting to hear. I've often wondered what would happen if one simply 100% refuses to identify themselves in a criminal investigation, and whether at some point the authorities would just get annoyed enough to release them without attaching the incident to their identity. Seems maybe so, at least after some time served...
@esmeecampbell7396
@esmeecampbell7396 11 месяцев назад
It depends on the country. Usually you'll be booked under "John Doe/Jane Doe" and be forced to give a finger print sample, DNA etc. Taken from you after you've been beaten unconscious if required, which seems to be how they got his fingerprints to check in the UK when he tried fighting people off in Canada. Of course if your first arrest is when you refuse and you come from a country which doesn't keep a comprehensive biological record of all citizens born (or you were born without informing the authorities and thus no information is ever recorded) then there would be no match for the DNA. You can't be extradited because nobody knows where to send you, thus you must be held until either family comes forward with proof of your nationality, usually via an embassy to arrange deportation, or you will be held for whatever crime you were originally arrested for. In some countries you may be able to serve that sentence and then leave prison, in others they may say that until you can prove who you are then they can't start the sentencing timer under that name, for their records purposes. So you'd be held until you die, even on a minor charge. Perhaps scariest of all is you could be arrested incorrectly and unable to prove yourself due to lack of documents, if nobody ever learns of your arrest they would never know to come forwards, and thus you could be desperately trying to prove your identity and innocence, but still end up serving life in prison.
@TPain79lawguy
@TPain79lawguy 11 месяцев назад
Probably an issue is there's no set of reference fingerprints for him. If you have reference fingerprints (police service, military service, arrest record, etc.) then there's decent odds you can be properly identified. I'm guessing he probably grew up some type of pathological liar (which of course included fraud) and he's wound himself so far down the hole he lives, eats, and exercises for free, compliments of the Canadian taxpayer. And because he's in maximum security, he's probably largely left alone (meaning there's not a large "general" population where it's easy to get shanked)..

I think the answer seems pretty obvious. Hes clearly been traveling around the world conducting these cons. He probably ripped off the wrong person and is now using the maximum security prison as a sort of shield to protect him from whoever is likely after him. It seems to me hes part of some crime organization or something tantamount to it. Must be a talented con artist to keep himself in this winning position for so long. However he has drawn too much attention to himself now, so maybe not THAT talented.

Something about this case makes me think there's some identity theft/impersonation going on. It is highly likely that he's part of a much larger criminal organization. But I just get the feeling that either: A: He is deliberately using someone else's identity. Possibly from Cameroon, as someone from a developing country would have less documented info on them. Also explains why his fingerprint was identified as a match with from Cameroon. He stole another person's name, then had his own fingerprint registered under that name B: Multiple people within the crime ring are/were operating under that name, which is why the little information we have on his real identity comes from several countries and continents. It's possible that their reasoning for having multiple people within the crime ring operate under the same name is to make it seem like there's just one person involved, if one of them gets caught. That way, national and international police forces believe they've caught the single person behind it, and the ring can switch to using a different name and remove any affiliation between themselves and the captured criminal. But I'm no crime lord or ring member, nor am I police of any kind, so I have no idea if that plan would actually hold up. Just my thoughts on the case. Significantly reminds me of the one about the man from Taured, as well.

Interesting attention to detail. So really you have a man who was going to French-speaking countries and running scams because he spoke the language. Seems pretty straight forward. Then he got caught, and he probably didn't want to go back to his home country considering the prisons are way worse. If I had to choose a between a third world prison or a first world, there isn't much choosing there. People with DID (it’s not MPD anymore) can have female personalities, child personalities, they don’t really get to pick what they have and it would be extremely unheard of to have multiple older male personalities that identify with different countries. That disorder develops when you’re a child and it’s very interesting to research how it works. Anyway, I think a Canadian prison is just a better place to be for him then whatever his other option is that we don’t know about. Edit: I would like to clarify that even if he did have the disorder, female and child personalities could mimic his own personality and insist they are from other locations. So where do you send someone like this? You can't deport someone back to a country which you don't know the citizen of said person and no country will allow some random to come in without a passport / visa that bears the true biographical information of said person. There is no chance that Canada will release this person with the rest of their citizens, so unless he plays ball John Doe will remain in custody.

@BertLensch
@BertLensch 4 года назад
One of three things has to be true for this man to feel more comfortable in a Canadian maximum security prison than to allow his actual identity to become known: 1) He was wanted to multiple other crimes in other jurisdictions; however, since Canada will not extradite someone to a country with the death penalty for their crimes, this argument seem weak. 2) He has scammed some people who are powerful/wealthy enough to hire a contract killer, and he simply does not want his identity to reach those people who are after him. 3) Prison in Canada is a better life that what he will be deported back to if he allows his identity to be known and proceeding to commence.
@abandonedmuse
@abandonedmuse 4 года назад
Yeah that the max prison is CANADIAN lol
@wallyhackenslacker
@wallyhackenslacker 4 года назад
Thing with No. 2) is that by letting his case become so notorious and his mugshot being on the Internet, whoever wanted to find him already knows where he is. If his secrecy indeed is to avoid someone sending a hit man to get him his life now pretty much depends on how honest/corrupt his prison handlers are. The facts surrounding Canada making the details of his case secret going forward makes me believe the theory that he may be a spy more plausible, or at least tied into some high-level international thing involving shady government stuff.
